Ordered 22nd April, never delivered by Evri. Have spoken many times to Damart but only get someone answering the phone and they pass a message. It was escalated to a "specialist team". Upshot today, they accept it was never delivered. I requested twice for a refund, this was agreed, then followed by an email which is now giving a partial refund due to an item no longer in stock and resending the rest. However, my relative is seriously unwell in hospital, unable to take to delivery of anything. They are not listening, don't give a damn. I despair!!! Damart, l will no longer be ordering anything from you again. Not your fault it wasn't delivered but your lack of customer service has been absolutely appalling!

Dreadful
Dreadful. I returned an item for exchange because it arrived with a dirty mark on it. They repackaged the same dirty item and sent it back to me as a replacement, so I requested a refund. I returned the item for refund on 23rd March 2026, as of 7th May 2026 I am still waiting for a refund. This is despite several communications with Damart who each time reassure me the refund is 'in the post'. Would not use the company again, would not recommend. Would give zero stars if I could.
EDIT: Following my review, I have been contacted by the company to say that my refund is on its way by cheque in the post. They have told me this previously and I have NOT received the refund. They are also saying that I have to wait 10 days for the cheque to arrive - and refund is by cheque because that was the original method of payment. I paid by card. Receiving a cheque is really inconvenient. A further example of their poor service.

I am sorry to hear the item you ordered was not delivered due to selling out.
In general we are able to back order such items and new stock is usually available within 3-4 weeks which is why they are still advertised in the catalogue and/or online. However online there will be a note next to each unavailable size to say 'notify me when in stock'. If an email address is provided then an email will be sent to you to advise once that item is back in stock.
In regards to items seen in the catalogue(s), they are prepared/printed weeks in advance so on occasion an item can be sold out by the time you (customer) receives it. If ordering by telephone/post, it can be placed on back order for you.
I sincerely apologise for any disappointment that this may have caused.

Up to last night -
Up to last night I enjoyed my experience with re-engaging with your firm - the goods are of good quality and nice to wear. I'm wearing the blue floral skirt today & it's well liked... Although opinions differ on whether it's 60+ wear or not... I guess they will be back in the 1930's overall pinafore before I know it!!!
What upsets me is the payment site.
1. It's never quite right - I was waiting for a return to appear but it hasn't yet.
2. When I tried to pay up it won't take my safe card - unison pre paid Visa - why not please?
3. I tried to pay with the debit card a bit later - no it didn't get through because the bank wanted verification by way of code numbers through a bank system.... No you now don't do it...
I'll try again in a day or two - otherwise it's a cheque....
Please redo your site. Thanks 🙏

I am glad to hear that on the whole you are happy with the goods received and service experienced when shopping with us. I do apologise that when it comes to payment however that your experience has not been as good and for any frustration that this may have caused.
1. In regards to a return, we generally advise to allow up to 14 days from date of return for a parcel to be received and fully processed by our returns department. Once this has been done, an email notification will be sent to you to confirm receipt if we have an email address on file. You will then be refunded accordingly to your original payment method.
2. If your card is not being accepted, are there any error messages that appear? Are the details auto-filled in or do you type them in each time? If auto-filled, have you tried removing the 'saved' details from your browser and then typing them in manually? Does this make a difference?
3. The verification system is something which is set up by your card provider in a attempt to stop fraudulent activity and is an extra security measure for you. You should be asked to either confirm through your banking/card provider's app, or receive a code as a text to your mobile phone or to your email address. Once the verification code has been entered, you will then be able to proceed with your order and/or payment.

Bit disappointing
I was informed that one of the items I ordered on my last order was out of stock before the order was dispatched yet it was still for sale online for about a week afterwards, and the other item was a T shirt in a different colour but the same style as one I already had and even though it was the same size was smaller than the one I already have, I kept it though as it is a very pretty colour and I can get into it, although I prefer garments to have a bit of room.

I understand how frustrating it must have been to be told that an item is out of stock but still advertised online, our website is usually updated daily so this may have been missed. We appreciate your comments regarding the sizing of the t-shirt, although items are designed to be consistent, slight variation can occasionally occur if a different supplier has been used. I am pleased that you like the colour and will be keeping the item.
