I just wanted to leave a review for a wonderful Curo employee named Kerry Bidgood. She is leaving her current role very soon and myself and many of the other tenants are very sad to see her go. She has been an absolute asset to Curo and her kindness, efficiency, local knowledge, patience and willingness to help shall be sorely missed by us all. I hope Curo have the good sense to continue employing her elsewhere. As a former manager myself, I know the value of skilled, reliable staff.

Tony Bishop came out today to sort out water ingress in my new kitchen , he was very kind and helpful and thorough in his checks - brilliant service

Melanie Housing officer is something out if the ordinary, she goes above and beyond for the tenant she is dealing with nothing is too much of an ask and if she can't help she will explain why and who possibly can. Melanie is an asset to Curo considering the company itself as a housing association are shocking I don't have a good word to say about the company which is why Melanie stands out so much. I hope Melanie continues in the company in her role for a long time coming as Curo needs more Melanies and maybe more people can take a leaf out of her book. Thank you Melanie for making at least one of my experiences with Curo a good one.

Barrie the plumber from curo came and fixed my problem in the bathroom straight away with no problems at all, very polite and helpful.

He was very professional and couldn’t be moved helpful.

Barrie came to fit a bath panel for me and was super efficient, clean and polite. Got the job completed in a quick time frame too!

Claude from curo came out today to complete not just one job but 3. He pulled all my outstanding jobs and did them in one visit. Guttering, door and toilet fixed :) excellent customer service, very informative and knowledgable and a credit to curo.

Mark Thorpe attended today, very professional. explained everything that he was due to do and explained in more detail to me as I wasn't aware of the process for the planned work. Mark is friendly and took great care and pride with his work.

I’ve lived at my Curo property for just over a year now and at first it seemed lovely but has been nothing but a nuisance. I’ve had continuous problems that they can’t seem to fully resolve. I will list all my problems: when I first moved in I didn’t have my hot water installed properly the part that heats it up was placed at the top of the tank instead of the bottom, I had no wifi socket at all and took me 2 months to get WiFi, the property was full of marks on the walls and previous work or damage to the wall below the paint continuous to appear, my hot water pressure is awful, I have mould that keeps coming back in the bathroom and a massive mark of residue from it, my windows keep steaming up and keep being told to leave them open 24/7 when I have health conditions that are effected by it and each person who comes out to see to it just says “welcome to my world” when my version of it is completely different and have had since I was 9 and im still young now, from the start of my tenancy my heaters weren’t even installed properly until I had reported them as terrible for warmth, in November I had my light switch removed due to a leak coming from it and the light has not been reinstalled since and finally in the lobby outside of the flats on my floor, there has been constant leaks from anytime it rains and there is mould everywhere and fungi.

I just had Simon come to my property to repair my boiler. He was really lovely and pleasant to chat to. He was very efficient and thorough, completing the repair quickly and testing everything to ensure he was happy with the fix. He clearly takes pride in his work and is very knowledgeable about his job.

Simon came over today to fix a leak in my boiler, he was really clear and helpful he ordered the part needed and came back to install it he also fixed another part of the boiler that looked like it was on its last legs. He also went around my radiators and added safety caps to the ones with valves that were bare. He also put one of my alarms back up on the wall. He was a pleasure to have, he was polite and professional and really seemed to know his stuff and overall an amazing job Thankyou Simon!

I had a tenancy review with Melanie Ben Khadhra, it was a zoom call meeting straight away she made me feel at ease, I was a little nervous but she was lovely, she asked me questions and if I had concern’s about my property and how she could help, excellent customer Service.

I'd like to share my story regarding my Landlord Curo as a private rent tenant with them.
I have endured a stressful 18months with them since moving into one of their flats in Bath centre in 2024 for £995pcm. After complaining multiple times on issues such as damp / mould/ leaks , high humidity, bad outside smelly drainpipes, squeaky floorboards and not getting anywhere with them then I contacted Bath Environmental Health in June 2025 to make them take repairs seriously.

I've been met with discriminatory and dismissive language such as it's my fault that there is high humidity and mould because I work away as a flight attendant and live on my own - I contacted the last tenant and she said she experienced the exact same problems that they didn't fix. Their extractor fans don't work and they refuse to upgrade them. When I first bought my dehumidifier, the humidity was at 90%. The outside drainpipes smell awful resulting in me not opening my bedroom window otherwise the smells come in. When I complained about the squeaky floorboards above me that are so noisy in one area they come back to me stating " it must be just washing machine noise". Repeatedly dismissive language and never actually repairing anything efficiently. Always on the cheap or ignoring your emails.

After Bath Environmental Health contacted Curo and Curo calculated costs to fix repairs of leaks in the vaults from Cannon Clark ltd I was then met with a section 21 eviction notice under my door the next day. I've been contesting this notice for months as retaliation eviction.
I have informed the local Bath Council and local MP last September who contacted on my behalf. I have stated multiple times to Curo that they have no intention of fixing repairs; they just want to kick me out and move someone else in who won't complain as I was met with "different tenants have different tolerances" and " Have you thought about moving elsewhere?" by their own in house damp and mould "surveyor" who blamed my lifestyle and job.

In August 2025 3 members of Curo turned up unannounced when the Bath Environmental Health officer was round to investigate, making me feel intimidated as they said they have a right to come round, when in fact they don't, only in emergencies. Breaking the prevention from eviction act 1977.

In November 2025 on my 2nd section 21 eviction notice I was given the chance to move into a different 1-bedroom Curo flat at The Paragon nearby that they have converted into a private rent flat for £1200pcm. On the day of moving in on the 3rd of December 2025 I was met with a full leaking bathroom coming from the tenant's bathroom above. I couldn't believe it- I've witnessed 2 flats they are trying to pass of as safe to the public. The tenants above said they have been dealing with leaks for years that they never truly fix. Already jetlagged from coming back from a trip that day, myself and my partner went straight down to the Curo office where I handed the keys back to the head of properties and the head of finance. I had already paid for my furniture removal which Curo have not reimbursed me for.

I was given a 3rd section 21 to leave by the end of January 2026. Curo had stated I could still move into the Paragon flat if they fix repairs soon. I visited again on the 5th January 2026 (yesterday) to review if the leaks had been repaired as they said it was fixed now. The bathroom ceiling looked like it had just been painted over and the visible cracks from my last video were still the same, looking as if it will leak again soon. I am under pressure to take this new flat or face potential court action by Curo when my section 21 ends for a 3rd time.

I had requested multiple times for the CEO of Curo Victor Da Cunha to speak with me but I have been ignored on this matter.

Key points
• Curo in house repair team get £50 for every repair they "fix". There are some that fool the system and tick jobs as "complete" to get their £50, racking up hundreds in a day. I reported this to them as fraud as I noticed this happening with 1 person coming round and leaving after 5 minutes- nothing has been done.
• When they don't know how to respond to you then they just make something up or ignore emails.
• Tenant blaming as an excuse not to fix repairs.
• Broken their own tenancy on keeping the housing "in fit shape."

I would like to warn other people to be cautious if choosing them as a landlord as it is obvious they are breaking certain housing laws and I wish I chose a flat from a high street letting agent instead
