Co Wheels Car Club Arvostelua 

I've had Co-Wheels for 2 years now and have been very happy with it. Customer support are always there when I need them and take prompt action to help me. The membership and rates are affordable and fairly priced, and there's a great selection of automatic transmission cars near to where I live. Highly recommend!

I only use Co-Wheels occasionally and every time so far there were bureaucratic issues that would make the whole renting process far more complicated than it should need to be. First, they would not accept my European driving licence even though it is perfectly valid in the UK. Next, I almost got stuck in the middle of nowhere because there was no internet access in the highlands and the car wouldn’t open the doors without connecting to the internet. I had to call the police for help because I couldn’t get home anymore. Then, they require an annual licence check for „insurance reasons“ but they are incredibly stubborn about only accepting DVLA share codes for verification. DVLA had some technical issues though with generating this share code, which meant that I suddenly didn’t have car access any more even though everything was fine with my driving licence per se. I tried to phone co-wheels support but they were really unhelpful claiming that they couldn’t do anything about it because their IT system requires them to do these things in a very specific way.

I could go on, but overall, I cannot recommend co-wheels at all because their bureaucratic hurdles and their obsession with technicalities make a smooth experience impossible.

After a long time blocked finally my account is out of suspension status.

This car club is super useful, I've started using them recently and everything was very smooth.
They'r customer service in also very very quick and useful and I think it's one of their strenght, I contacted them via email this morning and got an answer in about 30 minutes.
Some days ago I've also needed some assistance while using one of the cars, mostly I've endod the rental in the wrong parking spot. When I phoned they were super helpful and put the can in "maintenance" for 15 minutes, which allowed me to unlock the can and park it in the right place.

Excellent service every time.
Tonight had a problem with my baby constantly being sick and myself not planning ahead well. My booking got to the end and someone booked my car after me. No way I would have been able to make in time.
Hannah made my day. She understood the situation and handled it professionally. She contacted the next person helped to rebook a different vehicle for them and extended the booking for me in a matter of minutes.

The fuel card wasn't recognised at the till for some reason. Paid on my own card and e mailed a copy (photo) of the receipt to Co Wheels, who promptly replied to credit the amount to my Co Wheels account.

How quickly the reply came back

Co-wheels has been a life saver for me in the last 6 months of not having a car. It’s so easy and convenient to use and super affordable. Better than getting a taxi for the food shop and cheaper. I have recommended to everyone I know and would love to see co-wheels become more popular and well known. Customer service has also been great and been able to help me with any problems with starting the cars or unlocking them in minutes.

I am getting my own car so no longer needed but would highly recommend to everyone who may need a car on the odd occasion for short trips.

During my recent weekend rental the car repeatedly malfunctioned and the alarm went off 2 to 3 times every single time I locked it. I had to wait by the car for 5 to 10 minutes every time (10+ times over the weekend). I reported this twice - there was no immediate fix but they did recognise the issue from other cars.

I complained afterwards, saying I thought I should get a partial refund. I was offered £10 credit based on a rental of over £200 - even after I escalated to a manager.

This car was not functioning normally and disrupted my whole weekend. I think they have made a mistake in not recognising this - it doesn’t follow common sense that this counts as a normal rental and that you would not offer some discount or refund more significant than £10.

Waste of a parking space. They have about 3 cars parked in Plymouth and never seen one being driven. Probably because the sign up process is a joke. Forget it if you want to book a car on the fly. You need to plan ahead for these cars. Then don’t even think about daring to google promo codes when you get to the part where they ask you if you have a prom code. I made that mistake and apparently the ones I used meant they wanted to see my North East buss pass! Get a grip mate. Don’t put promo codes in the checkout process and then cry if someone googles promo codes you morons. Cancelled my application as was trying to use their car a week before we got this far. How about remove your cars from Plymouth so we can have 3 car parking spaces back, as nobody can be bothered with your stuck up sign up process around here.

I have used Co-wheels for 5 years. They have a good system and on the odd occasions when there have been issues, Co-wheels have acted swiftly to rectify matters.

After being a loyal member for many years, it is with regret I have been forced to close my account.

I will try and find a cheaper alternative.

When I initially joined co wheels a few years ago the vehicles were much cheaper to rent, so it might be that as electric cars are a lot more expensive this has resulted in higher costs.

I will keep my membership card in the hope that the costs drop.

This is a fantastic company. They are always so helpful and engaging. I have had nightmares where I have forgotten my card, or I am stuck in traffic and am not going to make it back it time, and they always fix the problem.

We have been Co-Wheels members for a good few years since we stopped having two cars, but still occasionally needed a second car to transport kids to different rugby locations ! Sometime we go months without using a car but keeping our membership going means we have access to a car when we do need one - especially when our car has an unexpected trip to the garage for a week (as we have found this week) !
In fairness we are spoilt for choice with 3 cars within easy walking distance !
The vans are a brilliant addition and excellent value for money and so much more flexible to hiring a car for the day with one driver only.
I’m always recommending Co-Wheels to other friends like us who occasionally need a second car !
Support is always excellent and really quick and friendly responses to emails and calls.
