My partner bought me a stretchy Cariad…
My partner bought me a stretchy Cariad bracelet from Clogau 4 years ago and I have worn it every day since then. About 5 weeks ago, it snapped and the pieces went everywhere. I can't believe it lasted that long without breaking, as it is only some sort of stretchy material. I collected up all the pieces and rang Clogau. who were very helpful. I posted it all back to them in a registered envelope. They returned it, beautifully repaired, in a little soft grey pouch, within a new box ( as though it was a new purchase, which I thought was such a nice gesture!). It cost me £20, which was half the price I was quoted by local jewellers! I cannot praise Clogau enough. Their service was exemplary. I have read all the negative reviews about people's stretchy bracelets,and fail to understand their logic. If you buy ANY stretchy bracelets, they never last for ever, for obvious reasons. My dealings with Clogau have been excellent, I have several pairs of ear rings, 2 bracelets and 2 pendants. All have been wonderful -no problems at all. Thank you Clogau.

Clogau is an excellent choice
I have been buying Clogau jewellry for over 10yrs. I noticed a claw missing from one of my rings, took a photo and e-mailed it up to Clogau, within the hour i had a reply to mail the ring up to them and they would assess it. So, sent by secure mail, off it went. Had the assessment back within a day, (and to be honest, i was pleasantly surprised at the cost), paid for it over the phone.
I was expecting it to take 6-8 weeks. Here we are, just about 10 days and my ring is back with me.
The repair to the claw setting is flawless...AND...the missing tiny white topaz stone has been replaced too!
Clogau has always been very approachable and the cae taken with my ring has cemented their place on my Christmas card list! Excellent company, who do REALLY care.....😊

Not good quality
I have a few items, have always loved Clogau however, a number of items have just broken for no apparent reason a couple of charms and now a bracelet. I’m so disappointed as I look after my jewellery. Maybe poorer quality now that it’s manufactured abroad??
To be fair they replaced the charms but for the price they shouldn’t break. Won’t buy anymore

Beautiful Bracelet
My husband bought me a really beautiful bracelet, unfortunately I nearly lost it a couple of times. We called into the Clogau shop, the staff were extremely heplful. They returned the bracelet to Clogau, who did a fantastic job of modifying it by adding a safety chain. Absolutely brilliant work.

As a welsh family we have been supportive of Clogue for many years either directly through their website or an outlet. Never again!
The items are misleadingly larger on the images so when it actually turns up you need a magnifying glass to see them. Apparently I should read the millimeter dimmensions in the description and the terms and conditions before purchasing. This is followed by not being allowed to return the item the next day because of policy!
Well done Clogue youve lost another long term customer because youve let a paper policy get in the way of good customer service.
When your business is struggling in a few years think back at the decisons that you could have made to keep your loyal customers.
Apparently their items are now made in China and the far east not Wales but contains a trace of Welsh gold. Yes you read that correct 'CHINA' and a trace of Welsh gold.

As discussed with you directly, the earrings received were the item ordered and matched the product description, dimensions and images displayed on our website. We appreciate that jewellery can sometimes appear different in size when seen in person, which is why we always provide detailed measurements alongside product photography, including images of the earrings being worn, to help customers make an informed purchase.
For hygiene reasons, pierced earrings are excluded from our standard returns policy unless they are faulty or not as described. This policy is clearly stated during the checkout process and customers are asked to confirm that they have read and accepted these terms before completing their purchase.
We are sorry that this has left you feeling disappointed, particularly as a long-standing customer of the brand. While we appreciate that this was not the outcome you had hoped for, we can assure you that the advice provided was consistent with our published policy.

Bought a bangle in 2024 and registered…
Bought a bangle in 2024 and registered it for a 2 year warranty. After only wearing a handful of times during that period, the bangle tension failed yesterday, so I contacted to have it repaired. They told me that as I had bought it from their eBay shop the extra 1 year warranty offer did not apply. So be very careful when you buy from their eBay shop. My £220 bangle is now worth just scrap value as Clogau told me their bangles like my swallow falls silver and gold one, cannot be repaired once the tension joint fails! Obviously very poor quality manufacturing so I won't be buying any of their products again after this. I've spent thousands of pounds with them over the years buying rings, necklaces, bracelets etc. Goodbye Clogau. You've let me down.

We would like to clarify that items purchased through our official eBay store are supplied with a one-year warranty, which is outlined within the listing information at the time of purchase. Unfortunately, the extended warranty registration available on purchases made through other Clogau sales channels does not apply to eBay orders.

Annwyl Ring
I have the gold/rose gold Annwyl band. A beautiful ring which for the second time now the rose gold Celtic weave design has broken in several places. Previously clogau replaced the ring despite me telling them i didn’t want it replacing, just repaired and 4 years on from this replacement and again the weave design has broken! Customer services advised I would need to pay for a repair! How many times do you pay to repair something? An internet search revealed that this is not an isolated incident and indeed people have had repairs which have broken within 5 months. Clearly not fit for purpose and this ring is currently on the website for £1,190!!
Poor customer service, poor quality.
UPDATE: against my better judgement I gave Clogau the chance to repair my ring, even though in their own words ‘it could break again’. Cost to repair was cheap and the repair on examination is cheap. Miss shaped and messy. Ruined 😡. Do not buy this style of ring

Absolutely shocking quality
I’ve had 6 elastic bracelets over the last few years, all been bought for celebrations or loss of a loved one. I now have a bag of beads! Shocking quality, so disappointed! Reached out to customer service and was informed it would cost me £25 to have each one fixed!

Do not buy from this supplier. The quality is poor and looks like market stall crap at extortionate prices. So dissspointed. They use false advertising images that don't represent the actual quality of goods. They are a conning business that purposely miss lead with false statement and adverts. No refund on earing even though not touched. Yet they allow returns on rings and necklace. So some one with an cut or open wound can pick up, try and wear and then return for refund. Doesn't make any sense. Please take heed and do not purchase from this corrupt company.

This policy is clearly stated on our website and customers are required to acknowledge this before completing their order. The policy is in place to protect all of our customers and ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.

My Mum has bought from Clogau for years as she loved buying special gifts for close family and friends. I have no clue how many hundreds of pounds Mum has spent with them (including gold watch for my 50th). I've also bought many gifts for Mum from Clogau as I wanted her to have something extra special to show how wonderful she is.
At Christmas, Mum ordered me a bracelet. It arrived and the package was awful. It was shoved in a tiny pouch so that was bad enough. When I took the bracelet out, the quality was shocking - it was misshaped and very poor. Mum was advised she could return it but as she's a pensioner with limited mobility and could not return it to the store soon, had to pay to return it for a refund so that was £12 extra straight away due to the value. We were told that postage has to be paid by Mum as the bracelet wasn't returned due to it being faulty. How something sub-standard, out of shape and poor quality was exempt from free postage is unbelievable. If Mum had have been able to get to the shop to return it, she would have but that wasn't a possibility at the time.
What then followed was a prime example of terrible customer service - I had to repeatedly ask that Mum at least receive an apology for how she has been treated. There was no consideration for her loyalty over the years. They weren't concerned at all that Mum said she would never buy from them again either. Same goes for me. Appreciate that won't affect their business but they don't deserve the support any more.
It's also interesting to read other reviews about customer service too - not to mention the fact that others also feel quality has deteriorated a lot.
Just hope other people/potential customers bear in mind the reviews for this Company before spending anything with them.

We are very sorry that the bracelet did not meet the quality you expected and that you were unhappy with how it was presented. Our standard packaging for this piece is a protective pouch inside our Clogau presentation box, to ensure that the piece is not stretched in any way prior to wear. We are sorry this felt underwhelming and want to assure you this feedback will be passed to our development teams.
In reviewing the order, I can see that a full refund was issued once the bracelet was returned. I can also see that an apology email was sent to your Mum in January following the return. That said, I completely appreciate that if the overall experience felt disappointing and frustrating, this may not have felt sufficient.
Regarding return postage, when a return is logged via our online portal and marked as faulty, we request supporting information such as images and once approved, the return postage is covered by us. If this process wasn’t clear or didn’t work as expected at the time, I’m very sorry for the added inconvenience and cost this caused, particularly given your Mum’s limited mobility. We certainly never want policies or processes to feel unfair or lacking in empathy.
We take comments about both quality and customer service very seriously, and your feedback will be shared internally with the relevant teams for review.
We’re truly sorry once again that this experience has led you both to reconsider shopping with us and we do want to assure you of our best intentions at all times.
Stretchy bracelets nit worth the money
Bought two stretchy bracelets and both lasted just over two years before snapping . £140 for a bracelet that doesn’t last. Won’t restring or repair unless I pay. These bracelets, although pretty, are not worth it . Disappointed.

Stretchy bracelets are designed for comfort and ease of wear, but due to their elastic construction they can naturally weaken over time depending on wear and how they’re looked after and stored. That said, we appreciate that durability is important, and we’re sorry this has impacted your experience.
Our warranty covers manufacturing faults within the specified period, and outside of this we do offer a repair and restringing service for a fee. This helps cover the cost of materials and workmanship involved in rethreading and quality-checking the piece. However, we understand that this may not have been the outcome you were hoping for.

Bought clogau pendant it fell off my neck broken had it repaired when I wore it against broken again Sent off for repair it came back broken in a few pieces unrepairable they said wanted a replacement but was going to be charged for it. This has been going on for 2 years now. The pendant was not fit for purpose but they refuse to replace free of charge. Numerous emails citizens Advice and still no nearer having it replaced. Customer service diabolical. You pay a lot of money for high end jewellery clogau is not high end do not waste you money as when something goes wrong they are not willing to solve any issues.
