The delivery and recovery of the old machine was fine. The fitter installed the new machine but used the hot tap to connect to the water supply. An hour after their departure, the stopcock started leaking. I do not say this was their doing. However, it does indicate that it was not very carefully checked. I had to call in a plumber to fix that problem. He also correctly installed the machine to the cold water supply.

Love the retro design
I have already filled one review of this item but to continue, the drivers were excellent and helpful and very speedy in removing the old fridge freezer. Delivery, reference number 8XE2T0787021A050, completed on 18/03/2026.
Our Dryer died on Thursday last week. I paid Extra to have it delivered on the Sat. Time was between 1300 and 1700. The next day ( Friday ) I received a text message stating all is fine and confirming the details. I would expect a further message tomorrow to confirm they are on the way. GREAT so I thought... Sat came. 0800 I received a message saying they have warehouse issues. LOL and will not be able to deliver. I called Appliances Direct. Who ironically use the same system this company does????? I paid more!!!!! I was told it would be delivered on Monday. NOPE ... Here we are on Wednesday and it has JUST been delivered. I have not had a chance to look at it at all. They delivery driver signed his pad ( something I am supposed to do or it VOIDS my terms and conditions) and the two of them buggered off. Seriously Avoid. They are under 2 names... they other account has 1.3 stars...
MORE I was told to package it to the best I can... as it didnt come in a box... just a bubble wrap so I did the same.. but its not being collected till Monday and is sitting outside!!!!! Note these points off their website.. And I was told it is ok to leave it outside.

Quick delivery and easy install.
To start we ordered the Hood in the afternoon and it was there next day , very good service. For the price it’s a nice little unit that looks good in our kitchen. It was easy to install except the 2 security screws are a little tricky.

Extremely poor and unacceptable…
Extremely poor and unacceptable experience with Buy It Direct (Appliances Direct).
I purchased a Hisense 55” TV which developed a fault within a few months of normal use. The TV was collected for inspection in fully intact condition — no cracks, no impact damage — which I have clearly documented with photographs taken immediately before collection.
The television was then returned to me in a significantly worse condition, with a severely cracked screen that was NOT present before it left my possession.
Despite clear before-and-after photographic evidence, Buy It Direct has refused to provide any repair, replacement, or refund. Instead, they have given inconsistent and contradictory explanations, alternately blaming “user damage” and “transit damage”, while attempting to redirect responsibility to the manufacturer.
No proper inspection report or credible evidence has been provided to support their claims.
This raises serious concerns about how products are handled during their service and logistics process, as well as their willingness to comply with their obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
As a result, I have been forced to escalate this matter through my bank.
Based on this experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing from this retailer.
