Good points first: Plenty of stores throughout Auckland. Easy returns policy and approachable + attentive staff in-store although can be hard to get a hold of at times.

Quality of merchandise can be hit and miss which is where the returns policy comes in handy.

Issues include an infuriating slow, front end heavy and unresponsive website which appears to be getting slower by the week. Retail pricing appears to be 25-33% more expensive than Bunnings Australia and feel they've started pricing themselves out of the market. As a result find myself buying more and more stuff from the smaller independent retailers online.

Do not buy any tools from Bunnings. Don't be deceived with their warranties and guarantees offer because it is so hard to claim! And also the Tool man in Bunnings Rotorua doesn't even know what he's doing! What a shame. If only I could rate no star at all. Such a poor service!

Went to Bunnings Tauranga. Had I known they were such a poor store I wouldn’t have bothered. Can’t afford light bulbs for their lights. You battle to see anything on the shelves. If you need a service assistant you continually have to walk and look for them and they’re really not interested in helping and don’t know their products. I should have just gone to the hamilton store because the Tauranga store is shocking to say the least. Won’t be back there

1/s a star would have been my preference. My order for a gazeebo special order 314355256-1 in February has still not been sent. I have ordered products from China and Australia that have arrived before my Bunnings order has even left the warehouse. It would appear New Zealand is the worst country to ship an item across it with Bunnings being the worst shipper.

I wish I could give a half star. The past 4 visits have been awful. Staff seem so unhappy. Cannot find any staff when you are wanting advice. Notices up saying staff shortages be kind. Waits of 10 mins for service usual. Often 1 counter open and many people queued. Self service closed told last trip no one in store trained on them! Refund counter 1 person and many people queued. No one rings for assistance. Been 4 times in last 3 months. Today went to Mitre 10. 10+ experience.

I went to Bunnings Manukau based on price. NEVER again, the instore prices did NOT reflect the online prices. Customer Service shocking. I asked 2 staff for help lifting a heavy item into my car, and twice got ignored. Mitre 10 is next door, and I will shop there in future

The noise of the sound system in your Feilding store on Sunday morning 26/02/23 was totally over the top. The volume was so loud it was probably verging on being unsafe. The staff were totally unhelpful and were not interested. I will never again shop in Bunnings Feilding.

If I could give a zero star I would. From Hawkes bay tried to buy a generator from Bunnings Palmerston North on the phone with my visa was told they wouldn’t do it because visa might not have been mine. Was told I had go go in store and pay. Rang Mitre10 in Marton 5 minutes later had brought generator with my visa and they gave me a discount. AWESOME MITER10 won’t be back at Bunnings again

In total the entire time form the first order to final delivery took 6 weeks. Was forced to send more than 30 email as well as countless phone calls to about 40 staff across Glenfield and New Lynn branches as nobody knew where my order had been sent, where in transit, whether it had in fact been sent or where it might be coming from or going to.
At one point I was told the my order was missing, had been lost, or was misplaced.
Bunnings staff are generally rude, unhelpful, inconsistent and my experience of Bunnings is one of chaos, disorganisation, unprofessional and unfriendliness.
STAY AWAY FROM THEIR STORES!

4:30 and a guy named Stefan came up to me and asked if I needed help. his service was amazing and I was really please with his help

I was in Bunnings Chch airport to buy flooring items. Four staff sitting around a desk in the kitchen bathroom flooring area saw me as an inconvenience when I asked for assistance with finding the product which is in one of their aisles. None of them could be bothered to barely grunt let alone get out of their chairs. I couldn't find the product on the shelf so ordered it online. Product is fit for purpose except they were both bent from shipping. Shipping from Bunnings is always very slow at least very slow to get out the Bunnings door. I suspect the four sitting in chairs in the kitchen area could be put to better use here maybe.

I bought 3 items on 13 January 2023, as at 20 January 2023, I have not received my orders! If Bunnings cannot deliver, you should SHUT your online department. An unacceptable practise to let your customers wait!

I spent thousands at Bunnings last year. My water blaster gave up. Looked online and saw the Ozito was on special,sweet. Went to Bunnings Mount Maunganui.
They said the special was only at Bunnings Greylynn. Because it was not a competitor they refused to price match.
Looks like I'll be shopping elsewhere in the future. They are willing to loose a customer over $20

Bunning Warehouse’s click&collect service are very bad. Called today and found out my order been canceled because is out of stock but the payment went through when I purchased on online. Bunning should honor me the price of the product because the system problem causing very inconvenient with the customer. And change your customer service at Mt Wellington store. She not knowledgeable enough to service. Also fix your systems if there’s no stocks!

Very poor customer service. Look on their web site, it said have stock for a Gazebo we liked in Dunedin store. Called the shop to confirm they actually have the goods in their store, waited 20min to spoke to a lady, and she confirmed have two stocks. Ask if they can help me get it from the
shelves and I pay for it when I get there (like "Click and collect", as recommended by the staff), however they responded "No, we're not your personal shopper, so you have you come and get it yourself", even after telling them the product is ~20+ kg x 2 boxes.

So had to drive all the way there to the store, ready to make the purchase,. But no one can find the product, with 3 difference Staff searching. Their computer said have 2x stock, but in reality, non existent. So times wasted.

Went to Bunnings Mount Maunganui this morning.All set to purchase a petrol Water Blaster we seen the one we liked asked the Assistant if there were any yes she said they are up there .But I'm not getting it down youl have to wait at least Four five days.Hows that for service.Its right there But you can't have it.What great service that is.Wont be shopping there again we went to mitre Ten and they to had one up high.The Assistant said if you just wait a few minutes I will get someone to get it for you.Within five minutes we were happily at the check out with our purchase.You Suck Bunnings.Ten us for Mitre Ten.

Second time in 6 months that what the website said was in stock was not in stock! 50 km one way drive for something that was suppose to be in stock! Also their website doesn't recognize Dargaville addresses to open an account to order stuff! Hopeless

I’ve been shopping this specific store since 2011 and this is first time someone want to check my bag saying the boss told him to look into my purse size sling bag.

This is a very specific request. Just because I’m coloured and have a sling bag doesn’t mean I’m a thief. There are other ladies who have a purse going into the store and have not been checked when they leave.

Favourite hardware store, even sells art supplies and whiteboards! Everything is at warehouse prices. The people are genuine, knowledgeable and nice. Sure, their checkouts may occasionally be closed but they communicate with me to help find the right desk to go to for purchasing items and I appreciate that.
