The second time and only one counter open for purchases at least the first time they apologised because there weren’t enough staff that day this time I gave up waiting and walked out. Rubbish customer service.

I have never been treated so badly at Bunnings Petone before ,My husband and I are nearly eighty and from a retirement village in Wainuiomata ,We went to this store for a roll of artificial grass ,we had some one putting this down for us later today ,I went in as my husband isn’t well ,I found the aisle blocked off and asked the staff member if I could look at the grass ,he said no it’s dangerous,I said why there are no ladders etc there ,he said well you can’t come in ,I asked if he could bring a roll out to me ,he said there are none ,I had looked up before I left home and it said in stock .I was so upset and went to the service desk where a very kind young lady went and got a roll for me and loaded it in our car ,her name was Tia ,so thank you Tia I would give you five stars ,but for the other very rude staff member 0 .Jan williams.I put this same review on Bunnings reviews but I have just received an email informing me that they won’t publish it ,don’t like the truth Bunnings .

Extremely poor service.
No staff to help find product. Spent 20 minutes looking for help. When finally found product and went to check out there was only one check out open with 10 people lined up waiting. I could not use self service as product had no bar code. What should of been a 5 minute shop turned into 30 minutes.

Bunnings Lyall bay wellington were pleasant extremely helpful. I made an error on my online purchase. The click and collect staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant with it. Well done. I hope you're manager reads this.

Don't know how to treat customers .. I had a previous bad customer services .. was looking for a product, told to go to the aisle and wait ..nobody came went back to customer services desk .. waited again, and told to follow some guy who had walked down another aisle, I tried to follow but he had gone, back to customer services, they said they would get somebody, no one çame , told to go back to aisle .. no one came got shafted from one person to another .. this was one time, I let that one go. My recent visit was just as bad. I was looking at the Robocan refills .. saw one but wasn't sure if it fitted our robocan.. asked an assistant there, she pointed me vaguely to a couple of guys and then walked off .. I walked up to the guy who did not look at me but continued doing whatever he was doing. I asked if the cans fitted robocan, he said they fitted the ones they were selling and as those looked like a new model, I asked if he knew if they fitted the old robocan, he said no I don't and continued to have no eye contact and just doing whatever he was doing. So the "expert" obviously doesn't know his product and obviously didn't want to .. as per a lot of these reviews for Bunnings, I went to Mitre 10 and got it there ... staff really need training on how to look after customers .. will stick with Mitre 10.. don't need someone wrecking my day.

Terrible store management. Went to buy sheep/chicken pellets at Bunnings Petone, product on top shelf needed forklift to move to ground level. Asked staff for assistance no help. Fortnight later product still on top shelf! What's the point of having stock that customers can't access? Staff/management are lazy

Again self service checkouts not open had to stand in a queue . What is the point in having self service checkouts if you’re not going to use them. Thursday afternoon 19.10.2023

filled trolley went and paid at the one counter that was open for sales then was accosted on the way out for shop lifting went back to counter showed receipt and demanded money back then went to opposition no wonder not many people in shop .. other people have said they wont shop there again the one they closed in ashburton was very good but timaru not

So we have had a very bad experiance regarding our Splash back bellessi on 26 August I order an 2600 x 760 ice splash back through Tammara at Bunnings mt Maunganui and it was in stock and should be with us within a week. Well we are still waiting for this invisable splashback Tammara had made lots of attempts to contact Bellessi. No respone at all. I was so looking forward to getting this colour in my nice new bunnings kitchen which looks fab. This service just isn't good enough we are loyal customers who always reccommend bunnings. We are disappointed this time we couldn't get our product. Hopeless service from Bellessi. Maybe bunnings shouldn't even stock there products.

What a fabulous person with lots of patience and willingness to help giving to the best customer I’ve see at any Bunnings or Mitre 10 store. Purchased item as advertised on tv and I store sign . On special at 14.99 down from 27.99 until 31/8/23, up to register still charging 27.99. Excuse was someone must have put back in wrong place

5/7/23 around 10am i visited the store to by some fittings for the plumbing job, wait there nearly one hour, trade desk staff made two announcement to come staff member to come and help to find the product, no one came, jumped in to the Miter10.next door with in 10 minutes everything sorted.

Provide the invoice that includes the account for the funds to deposited into-instead of not returning phonecalls. And acting like the staff do not know what a flexi-fund looks like.
Even after visiting Bunnings-there was still no account number.

Ordered and paid for a product 3 weeks ago. After no communication called 6 times to ask about progress. Each time I was assured they would follow up and call me back. Never heard back. Finally today found out that a key step had not been undertaken by initial staff member. A frustrating waste of time.

Incompetent without any remorse or care,This was my experience buying online from Bunnings .
I purchased the day before because the item was said to be in low stock.I went in the next day to pick up the item worth $258.00.
I was told to provide a email to prove purchase which I never received.I then found the item code of purchase code online in the Bunnings store .The girl said that the item was purchased but the transaction cancelled.I said fine so return my fund of $258.00.Thats when I realised this company is not to be trusted .At this stage I was $258 down and with no confirmation of purchase .They wouldnt return my funds telling me that the trans was cancelled and that Bunnings hadn’t received my funds even tho the funds had been debited from my bank.I left the store and decided to ring customer services in supposedly the main branch in Auckland .Same reply and then I was hung up on .I was polite but just did not want to settle for what she was saying.Anyhow I proceeded to go back in store to buy the item again which was in stock.I asked where I would find the item I was looking for as this wasn’t in the tool section.The girl said isle 15 in the back far wall.I walked down the isle but what became apparent was the this area of the store was not shelving tools or anything remotely what I was after . I asked the same girl again after walking back to the service desk.She answered with a chip on her shoulder that the item is in isle 15 at the back far wall.I just about screamed .I started walking again to the back store when a staff member got my attention holding up a box which contained the item I came in store to buy which was the checkout area .…Stone the bloody crows ……Does this need to be this hard i ask you Bunnings …..Anyhow I was told that I would have to wait up to 10 days for the bank to return my funds .I tried to ring the bank but of no surprise i just couldn’t be asked to wait 40 minutes on hold. .Anyhow I rang Bunnings customer service again to register a official complaint .The woman from customer services said she would put me through to the person who would deal with my matter.I waited 1 minute and I got message saying this “this is the voice mail box number of bla bla bla”..Infuriated I rang again customer services but was put on hold for eternity.This is how Bunnings deals with their customers issues .I tried to google how I could contact Bunnings but it seems this was not possible to forward a complaint or speak to a higher official .Absolutely disgraceful service and I will be spending my dollars in the future with Placemakers or anywhere else .Bunnings your a F——-cking disgrace.Im of the age where the customer came first but not anymore.Today your funds can disappear and a customer has no comeback and at the mercy of stores like Bunnings who show little care or concern .

The whole experience ruined my day which should have been a routine purchase online and picking up the next day without all this frustration and waste of my time.
To remedy my issue from the start would have been a easy fix.Here you go sir ,it was our mistake and we apologise for your inconvenience since you did go online in good faith on our website where you spent $258.00 ..We shall credit you the amount so you can take your item and be on your way ……………AND PIGS WILL FLY

So you see folks the people trained to deal with customers issues are clueless.They just follow orders and the real managers hide in there offices so the general public have no recourse.This is how Bunnings operates and could not give a dam .The right for a refund is non optional.The money even for a short period if I get it refunded still is online theft.Its not good enough.Its my inconvenience and thats not Bunnings priority it seams . Consumers money can be and should be refunded immediately but we are denied that.
Wait and the digital incoming age will get worse ;Mark my words

We did a click & collect purchase on a compressor as they are heavy & bulky. We got an email within minutes saying the order had been cancelled. The payment was showing in our banking app as pending. I rung the store to see if we could collect and they told us to ring the customer service line. We did so & were told we couldn't collect the item as no payment was showing in their system. We were told the banking team would contact us via email and were given a reference number. After waiting 2 days and having to go into store and purchase the item, we had heard nothing. I called and gave the reference number, there was no record of it. They searched for our card number and again told us there was no record of payment. I explained to money was still pending from our account. This was over $300. They told us if it was still pending in 5 days to send them a screenshot & it would be followed up & were given another reference number. We eventually got the money back into our account 6 days after we made the purchase. Most unsatisfactory. We received no explanation as to what went wrong so would be loath to do an online purchase with Bunnings again.

Stefan at Queenstown bunnings went the extra mile to help me sort a drive sizing out. Was very helpful.

I have experience this on a regular basis as I deal with our companies orders. Calling through to Trade Desk is always a long wait and 70% is no answer at all.
I cringe when our company require an item from Bunnings as the convenience of it being close by.
I understand staff shortage may affect this, but it seems to be the norm amongst their branches in New Zealand. As I look at the other reviews here, I wonder if Bunnings Directors are proud of their overwhelming poor ratings?

PSA: DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM BUNNINGS!

I made an online order for click and collect. Everything went smoothly until I was notified of the following, "There appears to be an issue processing your order, we apologise for any inconvenience.
A pending transaction may appear on your bank statement and these funds should be released by your financial institution within 7-10 days. Please contact your financial institution to discuss the release of these funds."

No explanation, no guidance, just that my money is theirs for the next 7-10 days.

I called the store, and apparently, the item is not in stock. Completely contradicting their website. This is convenient for Bunnings because now they get to keep my money for a week or more.

1/5: Failed inventory management, difficult customer service to navigate, and overly slow repayment.
