Made a booking and was on a test drive just to be told it’s been reserved and I can’t buy it. This after head office told me it’s on a first come first serve basis! Then the staff accused me of lying and said I said I reserved the car. What a scam! Avoid at all cost

I felt the music blaring from the speakers all the time distracting and unnerving, which was -as I was told- controlled from head office, the local branch had no ways to even lower the volume.

Avoid this place at all costs. I recently bought a car from them, which broke down 5 weeks later. Long story short I’m now 3weeks without a car. The staff don’t help. They don’t answer the phone. Takes 3+ working days to respond (and only by email, they don’t call) each time. No guidance, advice or support is provided. Conflicting information at every stage. I am so stressed and drained with this situation, the time it takes going back and forth is insane, they also say if you call or email before getting a response, it puts you to the back of the help queue! I’ve never heard of anything like this before. I feel like they’re trying to drag the time out so my warranty ends. They sold me a faulty car and they don’t care. The worst experience I’ve ever had with a company.

Having purchased a car with Big Motoring World i had a couple of small issues that needed resolving (flat battery, intermitent noise on steering). I claimed on the free 90 day warranty and to my surprise received prompt support and reimbrusement. Thank you.

Do not use this company - I have purcahsed many used cars in the past and never had an issue. This company have been a nightmare from start to finish. I went on a test drive and there was an issue with the air con, I was told it just needed regassing, purchased the car as it was fine, less than 24 hours later it had gone again, I have had to get diagnostic reports and had it in and out of the garage, and also within 48 hours it came to light the wheel arch and bumper were stuck on with black tape when I drove down the road and got flashed at and pulled to one side as it was hanging off. This car is only 3 years old and I have saved for years for it - I am so upset and dissapointed as I keep being told I am not entitled to a refund and it is my problem because it was like that when I bought it. I am now going through the motor onbudsman but I wanted anyone thinking of buying with them to think again.

Following on from Big Motoring worlds response - they are also not taking responsibility for the bumper as it was "sold as seen" even though this was under the car - and they said no fault was found - the garage said "no leak was found, and it was more than likely a mechanical fault".

From start to end we were taken care of, especially with a young child. Accommodating the test drive with our child. Thoroughly checking all paperwork during aspects of buying vehicle. Great customer service. Would highly recommend to others. Syed was amazing listening to us and our requirements. Molly was so good with finance aspect and Tayla was fab when doing the handover. All super amazing and helpful.

Mayla and Anna Maria was absolutely incredible, Mayla faced some challenges due to my situation and overcome them with so much ease and professionalism, kept me up to date with every step of my purchase, I have never received such first class customer service, absolute star, the whole experience of everyone I interacted with at Big Motoring world was just amazing, such good energy, highly recommend, this is the place to go, if you are looking for a car and want to be in safe hands, they offer a lovely strawberry milkshake too!

This review isn’t aimed at the staff, but more at the car that was sold to me. The company advertises discounts, but it feels like they rely on the small print to avoid actually honouring them.

This was the second car I bought from them. The first one has been absolutely fine so far.

Unfortunately, after driving the second car for around 50 miles, it broke down on the motorway. Even though it came with a three-month warranty, things became a lot more stressful once the warranty company got involved.

I ended up waiting over 30 hours for the car to be recovered from the motorway services and taken to an approved RAC garage. After that, it took several more days before the garage could even look at the issue, because the repairs had to be handled by an authorised RAC technician. I understand that cars can develop faults unexpectedly, but the after-sales support once the payment had gone through was really disappointing.

Overall, it was a very frustrating experience, especially after spending a lot of money on a car that failed almost straight away. As a result, I’ve been left without reliable transport for work and dealing with a lot of unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

I’d also recommend that anyone buying a car makes sure it’s properly warmed up and driven until it reaches full operating temperature before purchasing, even if there’s only a small amount of fuel in it. I understand that many dealers don’t keep much fuel in their cars, but it’s still important to make sure the vehicle has been properly checked and is running as it should once warmed up. Top up the fuel yourself if needed so you can properly test the car before committing to the purchase.

Car buying doesn’t have to be like this. Long story short, I went to three branches and can confirm the sales people have awful product knowledge because their training appears to be simply to keep asking if you want the car and pushing finance. BUT … most importantly their company policy is to disallow any portion of payment by credit card so that you don’t have access to the associated customer rights. Went in to view a car and came back to ask for a test drive. Waited for a salesperson for 45 minutes, kept being told someone would be around 10 minutes but this never changed so I gave up and left.

The service was really nice and all staff was very nice

I will be taking legal action against this company for miselling a vehcile to me! They sold me a car with an issue they told me on the day I test drove when the engine management light came on that they had it fixed the other week and it was coming up wrongly. I brought the car when they reassured me it had been fixed and then 2 days later when I picked up the car it came up again and has been in the garage for a week now. My warranty they missold me through them won't cover as it's the garages liability and now I am awaiting them to pay the garage to repair the car. I will be taking it straight back to the garage for a full refund on the car and warranty. I will also be taking further for compensation for the fact I have not had a car now for almost 2 weeks and put a full tank of petrol in the car and paid for insurance etc.

The person in charge of dealing with me was very helpful and made me feel welcome as soon as i entered the building.
