There were adults recording children swimming. Yes, they're parents too but it doesn't mean they should video everyone's child with theirs. It isn't a private swimming lesson!

Takes many days for solving problems, which is not occurred by you. There is not your fault of taking specific membership but all setup went wrong and staff should not make mistake at first point.

I’ve been a member of this gym for over 3 years
I’ve been a member of this gym for over 3 years, but unfortunately the standards have really dropped. Machine cables are extremely stiff and put unnecessary strain on your joints, while broken equipment takes far too long to be repaired. There’s also poor ventilation and no proper air conditioning, making workouts very uncomfortable.
Membership fees keep increasing every year, yet there seems to be no improvement in equipment, maintenance or facilities. Very disappointing for long-term members.

When providing swimming lessons they should really be blocking off the pool to the public and adults.
Some unsavoury behaviour of grown men walking around in their pants whilst under 14s are changing. I noticed grown men just watching children whilst in the pool.
Not enough privacy and no boundaries set.

I have been watching from the poolside…
I have been watching from the poolside for over two years as my child participates in swimming lessons. Initially, everything seemed fine, but as the students advanced to the academy level, I noticed a significant decline in the quality of instruction at Botwell Pool. The instructors appear to lack the capability to teach the technical skills necessary for academy-level swimmers. Instead, they seem to focus primarily on lifeguard training throughout the year, which doesn’t align with our intentions for our children.
While becoming a lifeguard is commendable, it’s crucial that students first develop strong swimming skills. Many students are missing out on essential techniques, such as proper breathing, maintaining an aerodynamic position, reducing drag, and executing specific drills tailored to individual improvement.
Unfortunately, during my visits, I frequently observed instructors more engaged in conversation with each other than in focusing on the students' progress. This lack of attention to technique and individual development is disappointing and does not meet the expectations we had for a program at this level.

Almost 5 Stars!
I would've given 5 stars, but when I came to get a membership and ask for some info, unfortunately, the person I came in contact with, wasn't very helpful, he just said "download the app" and dismissed me. Wouldn't give me the time of day. I tried to ask questions but the only response was "download the app"
Maybe he was having a bad day, I don't know, but it wasn't very pleasant.
For medical reasons, I had to sign up regardless. So I had to figure it out by myself.
Once I joined, I voiced my experience to the assistant manager and I must say, he was extremely helpful. He apologised, gave me the information I required, even got his colleague to show me around and give me a full induction on the spot.
The assistant manager, the tall guy with curly-ish curtains hair and Mr Singh were absolutely brilliant. Navigated me around the app, showed me how to use it, showed me the facilities on offer and how to book them.
I would've given a zero star rating if it wasn't for them guys.
Those three guys deserve a FIVE STAR rating.
If you're thinking of joining, ask for the assistant manager, the tall guy with curly-ish hair or Mr Singh and you're experience will be above and beyond what's expected.
Great place to join providing you speak to the right people.
