Bath and Body Works customer service and Violet chat is terrible! I have had my order that I placed on 6/6 returned to their warehouse twice due to insufficient address on package. I immediately reached out to them when I received the email tracking notification both by violet chat and called to speak to a representative. Both times I was assure that the address was correctly and package would be sent out again. Both times it was returned for insufficient address. Still haven’t received it!
Horrible customer service
I placed an online order, paid via credit card and paid the shipping. The order was sent to another community. When I reached out to customer service the first time, I was blamed for the mistake. The representative told me my address was wrong when I placed the order. I then reviewed my order and confirmed I typed my address correctly. I contacted customer service again and this time I was told to call the courier company myself to make it right. I guess I work for Bath and Body Works now? Is this my job? No. I’m the customer. A little effort goes a long way. Fighting with them over a lost $40 order is not worth my time. But I will never do business with them again.
2nd horrible experience
I ordered products during their semi-annual sale. The contents arrived tossed all over the inside of the box. This is the second time I’ve ordered from them. The first time the contents leaked and the gift bag for the items came busted. I had to return the products to the store. I decided to give them another shot. Yet again the contents are all over the place. They do not secure the contents of the shipment. Whatever policy they have they need to change it. Packaging materials would be great. Do better. And it took over a week 1/2 to receive this foolishness.
Gonna shop at Victoria’s Secret from now on.

I love their wallflowers
I love their wallflowers, but almost everyone that I buy within 3 to 6 months starts going yellow and leaking out the sides. I chatted with an agent yesterday and I don’t think he understood my issue so I just gave up.

Still waiting for on line order. Couldn't get tracking updates. Customer service said to call back in 4 days if I hadn't received product or received any updates. Then today I received an email asking how I liked the candles. Lol really not funny. Will not order from them again.
I am extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Bath & Body Works.
As a customer based in Scotland, I regularly purchase products from the United States, as many Bath & Body Works fragrances are simply unavailable here. During the recent Semi-Annual Sale, I placed an order which was subsequently cancelled due to "unusual activity." Assuming the order size may have triggered a review, I placed a much smaller test order. Unfortunately, that order was also cancelled for the same reason.
Over the following days, I made every effort to resolve the issue. I contacted online support, reached out to UK customer service, and ultimately had to call US customer service twice at a personal cost of approximately £135 ($181 USD). Despite these efforts, nobody was able to explain why my orders were being cancelled or what steps I could take to successfully place future orders. When I requested escalation and answers, I received no meaningful assistance.
I fully understand and support the need for fraud prevention measures. However, repeatedly cancelling legitimate customer orders without explanation, while providing no clear route to resolve the issue, is incredibly frustrating. What has disappointed me most is not the cancellation itself, but the complete lack of transparency and support afterwards.
I am simply requesting a clear explanation as to why my orders were repeatedly cancelled and guidance on how I can successfully place future orders. If there are restrictions relating to international customers, payment methods, or package forwarding services, I would appreciate these being communicated transparently.
Additionally, I would like Bath & Body Works to review the customer service experience I received, as I incurred significant costs attempting to obtain assistance yet was ultimately provided with no explanation or resolution.
My objective is not compensation. I genuinely enjoy Bath & Body Works products and simply want clarity, transparency, and a reasonable opportunity to continue purchasing from the brand as a legitimate customer.
I hope Bath & Body Works will review my case and provide the answers and support that have so far been unavailable.
Fraudulent company
Fraudulent company. Ordered off the website and they took the money out of my account. But the cart showed that I hadn’t paid for it. They wanted me to pay for it again and when I contacted customer service. All they said was contact your back and have them reverse it. Unbelievable. Never had this happen before.
Last Straw
I have been a Bath and Body Works customer since the early 1990’s (I go way back to the original scents - Sheer Freesia, Juniper Breeze, Cucumber Melon, etc which they refused to bring back without explanation). I don’t know who is running things these days but for whatever reason they refuse to bring back these classic scents - even for the semi annual sale (which they used to do…). Speaking of the semi annual sale….that’s why I’m here. I was prepared to stock up on some of the few selections that they do still have that I like. But this year’s so called sale is only for selective scents (it appears to be the less popular scents that they want to get rid of). Buy 3 at $16.95 each and get 1 free is NOT a sale! Even the sale on the more popular hand soaps (Eucalyptus and Kitchen Lemon) are not much of a sale. Some items are 5/$28 and others are buy 3 get 3 (at at $16.95 price tag for one item!!). The so called sales are all over the place this year. This was the final straw and probably a sign for me that it’s time to move on from BBW. Since they refused to bring back the original scents - even during the special promotions,
and have driven up the costs of products left from that era. I’m done with this company after being a customer for over 30 years,

E-coupon said $2.99 hand soaps. Wall sign said 5/$28 hand soaps. I chose 5 hand soaps and went to checkout and girl said my soaps would all be full price. I pointed to the sign on the wall where I got the soaps and she just said, "Sorry about that - they are full price...I can show you the table for the $2.99 soaps. Very poor service and false advertising.

BBW always has a Semi Annual sale in the summer and they bring back previous top selling scents that have been discontinued. This year is the first year they haven’t brought back country apple. I guess I won’t be buying bath and body products anymore 🥹
Very disappointed
I am a regular shopper at Bath and Body Works, and a Rewards Member. I ordered 7 wallflower refills online and the package arrived today. It had not been sealed correctly with the packing tape, so one side of the box was slightly open. On the inside, the bubble wrap was not covering the items well, and it looked like they were just put in the box without caring that the items are glass. One of the refills apparently had a crack in it because when I went to lift it out, there was oil on my fingers. The other glass refills were fine. I called customer service. The woman I spoke to was very nice, and I will be receiving a replacement soon, at no charge. However, this should not have happened, and better care should be taken in the future. I think B&BW is a very good store with quality products, and the packaging of my products and the sealing of the box was very poor and below the standards that I know them to have.

I normally love this store but, when I went into the store on my birthday to claim my free birthday gift. When she scanned my item and my rewards. I found out I had to make a purchase in order to redeem my free birthday reward. This is very upsetting
Refused to get extra bag even for a cost for Two kids not related
Cashier Refused to give one extra bag for TWO kids (friends ) orders. I explained they are going to different houses and willing to pay to extra small bag . But she said we are not allowed!!! Unless you divide the order !!
I had no problem doing that, so I paid twice with my card just to get two bags. Even then, I offered again to pay for an extra bag, but she still refused.
Honestly, this was disappointing and not the level of customer service I would expect from a brand like Bath & Body Works, especially considering I spent $62 on a few hand sanitizers just to make two 9-year-old girls happy.
As a pharmacist, I deal with customers every day, and if someone needs an extra bag—even for a small purchase—we try our best to accommodate them. I clearly explained why I needed the two bags, yet there was no flexibility or understanding.
I find this experience disappointing and unprofessional for a brand of this caliber.

I'm baffled that such poor service, shopping experience, e-Comm platform and shoddy customer care can even exist.
Point is, a shopper will get fooled only once.
Point also is, perfumes degrade very very quickly and could be used as a bathroom freshener if you're lucky and point is, have really rock bottom expectations before you shop. Also, even when you're highly dissatisfied, you don't even have the option to cancel your order EVEN WHEN it is not at order fulfillment stage yet.
Well and truly a regretful experience in what you should avoid online.
