I am writing this email with great frustration and disappointment after years as a dedicated, high-spending Bath & Body Works customer.
I have been calling several times and getting no one to help me. I submitted an order on 04/24/2026 and called today 5/5/2026 as I still have not received that order.
Rep told me there is nothing she can do and I told her that I wanted to speak with a manager who told me the same thing.

Over the course of my relationship with this brand, I have spent between $10,000 and $20,000. I have supported this company through countless sales, product launches, and seasonal collections. I have been loyal when many customers were not. And yet, I am being treated as though I am the problem.

Here is the reality of what I have experienced:

1. DAMAGED & MISSING ITEMS — On multiple occasions, I have received orders with damaged products and missing items. These are not small issues. These are paid-for products that never made it to me in acceptable condition.

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSAL TO HELP — Each time I have contacted customer service to resolve these issues, I am met with representatives who openly tell me they have been instructed NOT to assist me. They are reading from a screen that flags my account and directs them to deny me help. I am being blacklisted — as a paying, loyal customer — with zero explanation and zero recourse.

3. NO ACCOUNTABILITY — There has been no transparency, no resolution, and no respect shown toward me as a customer who has contributed significantly to this company's revenue.

This is not just poor customer service. This is a deliberate policy that targets and silences customers who raise legitimate concerns. It is unethical, and I believe it may constitute unfair business practices.

I am formally requesting the following:
— A full explanation as to why my account has been flagged and why staff are instructed not to help me
— Immediate resolution of all outstanding damaged and missing item claims
— A written response from senior leadership acknowledging this situation

I have given this company my loyalty and my money for years. The least I deserve is to be treated with basic dignity and fairness.

BBW does not care about losing 1 to few customers since they have millions of customers

I have been waiting 2 weeks for 400$ taken out of my account with my visa used by bath and bodyworks in January.. I have been back and forth with this comprimise and still waiting as they keep promising to put this money back in my account! Its promised to go back in today may 5th.. im hoping they keep this promise! Lots of back and forth with this company..bank statements sent for proof still no refund..I get accidents happen but 4 payments of 94$ is extreme.. I love the products..I will go into store from now on..all I want is this comprimise fixed!Nope not fixed..for 5th time 3-5 business days! That's my answer every time! They DIDNOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH MY MONEY! DONOT SHOP ONLINE WITH THIS COMPANY! I WILL NEVER SEE MY MONEY! PROOF SENT STILL NOTHING!!!

It truly sucks to write a negative review about any business. But it totally sucks to place an order online and have only five days to pick up WITHOUT any chance to extend that time for at least 1 day. It sucks. Because Bath & Body works is not everywhere in Canada.
I lost my precious order. I called costumer service and the Abbotsford shop to PLEASE keep my order for one more day. And of course everyone was sorry that they couldn’t do anything.

And now I am trying to find a replacement for this brand because I feel I have been supporting the wrong company. So many years buying from them…
I am so unhappy now…

Early this morning I placed an order with BBW - Items were only available for shipping - I hit place order and I got charged. No email confirmation, but bank charge notification was received. -Called BBW they claim they have no record of order - Called bank they have charge from BBW so they won’t release money back into my account. Bank noted the 3-5 business day hold for BBW to claim or not claim funds - I went back to BBW Online and now what I ordered is out of stock - Great job NOT

The BBW customer service saying sorry does not cut it - Why charge me if items don’t exist anymore

Bath and Body Works advertised 40% off the entire store both in-store or online. I live in Harrisburg, PA so I went to the location in Colonial Park. Once I arrived I was told the store was having a "test sale" and not the one that advertised online. Their test sale was if you spend up to $40 you get 30% off; spend up to $70 get 40% off and spend $100 to get 50% off. I already knew the 3 items I wanted and they totaled around $30. I was not willing to buy any extra items because I didn't need them. I wanted to purchase those 3 items and get the 40% off that was advertised as the company wide sale. When I got to BBW and found out you could only get 40% if you spent a certain amount of money, I felt mislead and that the company intentionally created false advertisement. I spoke to one of the store managers and she told me a group of BBW in South Central PA were running this "test sale" in place of the company wide sale. I did not realize that each BBW could operate differently and create their own sales based on store locations? No where in the advertisement does it state that only select stores have the right not to honor the company wide sale or it's up to manager discretion. I am not the only customer who was annoyed by
this false advertisement. It was a waste of my time and gas money to drive to the store and go inside only to find out the stores in this area are running their own promotion. I contacted another store and they suggested I order the products online for in-store pickup and that way I could get the 40% off. So I ended up doing just that and about 1 hour later returned to the store to pick up my items. That was an inconvenience! I would suggest that BBW put a disclaimer on their promotions and let the consumer know that ALL stores may not be eligible for the promotion or add some type of similar verbiage. I am a long time customer of BBW and have never experienced this issue before. I am really disappointed ☹️

I bought a wallflower from Bath and Bodyworks. I plugged it in and 3 weeks later the paint on my cabinet was completely damaged and dripping off the cabinet. It could have caused a fire not to mention of the paint breaking down and the toxic smell that my family was breathing. It was 11” away from the cabinet, and the repair cost me $180. Bath and Bodyworks did NOT care!!! At all!!! There is no warning on the Wallflower letting you know the risk in using their products!!!

My daughter, a wheelchair user, was refused help bringing a return into the store. The store informed her company policy was to help no one outside of the store . Terrible staff, terrible customer service, terrible company policy. Do not shop there!

I put in an order on their sale items last week my order of numerous foam soaps, sanitizer spray and sanitizer gel came in yesterday and as I opened my box, I had three emptied all over everything in the box. I don’t know if I’m just overreacting, but I feel that they should’ve replaced everything but instead, they only replaced the three that were opened and the rest of them. I have to clean off myself and those were going to be gifts to other people. I just don’t feel like it was handled the right way again maybe I’m wrong….

I love Bath and Body works, loving the different kinds of scents. But, what I have noticed is body creams never last long, yes unless you use it a lot but if you buy a lot and stock them, the longer it sits the smells becomes yuck and cream turns yellow. I wouldnt stock up on creams. Lotions, sprays and body washes no problem. Recent price changes has been a little too much.

I have always had a great experience at Bath & Body Works, and today’s experience was no exception! I went to the store in Surprise, AZ, and Michelle greeted me the moment I walked in. She was very personable & helpful!

I have been a customer for 30+ years and this was the worst experience I have had with any company. My product was damaged in transit, which is not my fault, and was then issued a refund without my request. I didn't even know it was damaged until I looked into the tracking information. To make it worse the associate told me it was delivered and asked if I checked with my neighbors. I had to tell her it was damaged and returned to sender. I was offered that the order can be placed again with some discount, but that the original price based on the sale when everything was ordered could not be honored. That is a terrible policy for such a large company. I am so upset that I don't think I will shop with Bath & Body Works again after all these years. I know you don't care because 1 customer makes no difference to your bottom line, but I will be certain to tell everyone I know about this and how terrible you now treat your customers. I have had a few items in a larger order damaged in transit (this is rare) and my issue was always resolved. Clearly something has changed and I don't think the way you treat your customers is worth my loyalty or money.

I had a very disappointing experience with Bath & Body Works that I feel others should be aware of.

I received two gift cards through an employer wellness program and uploaded them into my Bath & Body Works app without any issues. After a recent app update, both gift cards completely disappeared from my account. When I went into the store to use them, they were gone.

I contacted customer service expecting help, but was told there was nothing they could do without a receipt. Since these were reward gift cards, I never had a receipt to begin with. What’s even more frustrating is being told there’s no way to track gift cards that were uploaded into my account.

Honestly, what is the point of having an app where customers have to sign in and can store payment methods, if there is no way to verify or track what’s been added? That defeats the entire purpose and leaves customers unprotected when something goes wrong.

This situation shows a serious lack of accountability and customer support. I did everything right on my end, yet I’m left without the gift cards and no resolution. Very disappointing experience.

The company took money out of my bank account for my order which was fine… but then they put it back.. making me think they had to cancel my order for some reason, so I made another smaller order… but then they took the money out again… and repeated the process again with the second order causing a $5 overdrawn handling charge in my account. So here’s to say I won’t be ordering online anymore.. 🙄

I had my first terrible experience at Bath & Body Works on April 19th, and it came down entirely to how I was treated by one employee, Kelsey.

I’m getting married in Cabo San Lucas and have been buying hand sanitizers in bulk for welcome bags. On a previous visit, staff had no issue with us grabbing sealed sleeves from the drawers, so I did the same this time. On this visit, an employee came over to me and asked if I needed help finding a specific scent and politely let me know that going through the drawers wasn’t allowed, which I completely understood (though it might help to have those drawers locked or clearly marked if that’s the policy). The only reason I'm putting 2 stars is because of this employee, and I'm so sorry I didn't get your name, but shoutout to you!

After this interaction, my friend told me the cashier, Kelsey, looked pissed, and was the one who called the employee over with her walkie-talkie, and was "mad-dogging" us throughout the whole interaction. I was like, "Whatever, I get it, they have rules, and the employee was super nice about it, so no biggie."

What I didn’t appreciate was Kelsey's attitude at checkout. From the moment I walked up, her tone was cold, condescending, and frankly unprofessional. This totally caught me off guard because I was being very nice and friendly and thought there was no issue. While ringing me up, she removed all of the sanitizers from their plastic sleeves. When I politely explained that I needed them kept in the packaging for travel, she sighed, argued that they “weren’t supposed to be in plastic,” and thankfully went to get another sleeve.

While she was gone, she rolled her eyes and mocked me to a coworker behind my back, with my friend, who she thought was a regular customer, sitting in a front-row seat to witness the disrespect. That alone was unacceptable.

She returned with a replacement sleeve (which she also managed to damage), continued speaking to me in a dismissive tone, and only then decided to make small talk about my wedding as if nothing had happened.

I was calm and respectful the entire time, which makes this even more frustrating. If there are store policies, that’s fine, but there is absolutely no excuse for treating a paying customer with that level of disrespect.

This experience felt less like customer service and more like being talked down to and mocked for no reason. I’ve always enjoyed shopping at Bath & Body Works, but this bully behavior has left a negative impression.

Been a Bath &Body customer for over a decade. I always purchase 3 wick candles never purchased 3 wick. With a reasonable sale price for them decided to purchase some just for my bathroom and burn my 3 wick in larger spaces. I now understand why these single wick were so cheap. I burn one and left out, goes back in couple hours later to checkout the scent, ??? What scent? Wasn’t none. I let it burn half was down and revisited my bathroom, same, no changes. I blew it out, tossed in trash and grabbed another scent, come on now exactly NO SCENT again…I was heated and reached out to customer care team, for the two I burned they replaced with two of the same scents, I’m sitting on about 4-5 more of these single wicks, did ask how do I know the rest are not the same issue? Rep stated they’ll be fine? How would she/he assume this? Lord behold days later opened another box, this was te most popular scent Teakwood Mahogany…Burned that darn candle down mid way just to smell not a darn thing..these candles were probably left back on the shelves deteriorated over the years and low priced them to get them out..never will purchase single wicks again, the overall quality has went to crap also. I wrote a review for a product directly on the bbw website
Days later I received a email stating it was " Moderated " this is what it said...
""Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!""
It was a unfavorable review, however it was honest. I wasn't vulgar or rude in anyway.
The bottom line is that BBW has significantly cut quality. Bodysprays especially. They arwatered down and have no staying power. Bbw has had 6 years of downed sales and has come in under revenue protections several times.
Even with the downed sales they still had a revenue of $1.6 billion
( approx )last year.
To cut quality to gain more profit is ridiculous. To think they wouldn't lose longtime loyal customers shows they aren't thinking about the customers.
They are making bad decisions over and over and when reviews reflect that they are deleting them.
There are so many other choices for brands other than bbw... Brands that have better quality and better prices. Dont waste your hard earned money on bbw.

I purchased dryer sheets. When i received them i was excited to try them out. But when i used them once my blankets dried there was no scent all very disappointing for the amount i paid for them.

The buy online and pick up in store is the best. I like the “not knowing of the smell” I’m puchaseing. It’s like a little surprise for me. I’ve never had no issues at all with them. Ofc I recommend especially when i get complemente. So Ty Bath and Body works!

I am a regular customer spending hundreds of dollars year round. I use the wallflowers. I change the plugs out seasonally. One of my plugs started leaking oil on the floor. I took it back to store to be told that if I don't have receipt all they can do is give me the basic plug. I paid $22 and they are offering me an $8 plug. I then called customer service, same response. I have the plug in hand and they do NOT stand behind their product.
