Went into BBW located in Westminster

Went into BBW located in Westminster, Maryland and the employee refused to honor my coupon. I do alot of business at this BBW. I think was very poor service waa provided. Not sure if the coupon came out of her pocket. Then she had the nerve to tell me she can do a separate transaction. I should’ve have went to another location. I will not be back to the Westminister location. I felt sum type of way about there service i received abd how the employee refused to honoer my coupon. Horrible customer service!

Dishonest practices

I can finally take Bath & Body Works off of my shopping list! They have made my shopping experience bad one time too many! Their site is designed with algorithms that learn what you want and raise prices. I had to remove a sale item because the available store changed, when I put the sale order back in one minute later the sale went away. Not the first time this happened. This all happened right before 10:00AM . Then, they claim you can use free items on anything but they only work on body care items. They claim cruelty free products for animals but then also claim they can’t control when their 3rd party vendors that practice animal cruelty, as if they are forced to use those particular vendors or can’t somehow take matters into their own hands. I will shop at more honest establishments like The Body Shop, Tree Hut or Pacific Beauty.

Not following through with a promise to satisfy a long time customer.

I've been shopping at Bath and Body Works stores since the late 1990's and when you started internet service it became very convenient. I love your products and service that I have received, until now. When I make purchases, I like to stock up on all my items. Back in July 2025 I made my usual large purchase. I bought different fragrances of my favorite moisturizing creams and shower creams. Every product was fine except the shower tube that the Cinnamon Toast came in. Every time it gets wet it starts peeling and I get it all over my hands and washcloth. Also, bits of it drop to the floor of the shower. The bits are very difficult to remove. I called customer service on April 2nd and explained the problem and concern about the packaging. None of my other fragrance tubes have this problem. I requested that this info be forwarded to the proper department and was assured that it would. I also requested a response in any form. The associate offered me a 20% off coupon for my trouble and I was delighted to receive this offer because I was ready to stock up on some new supplies. She said that I would receive notification of the offer with 3-4 hours. I thanked her for the consideration.

I never received the gift so I called again on April 6th, went through the whole story and asked about the discount. The associate apologized and said that she would address this for me. I thanked her for her help and again asked for a response to the product problem.

Well, I am so disappointed that I again have to inquire about the product issue and offer of the 20% discount on my future purchase.

I was in the Bath and body Works and…

I was in the Bath and body Works and Bayers Lake on April 19th. We had a gift card and I scratched the pin code and put it in and tapped it. It did accept it but then on the transaction receipts on the computer system, they were saying it didn’t take it. They gave me a phone number I couldn’t use the phone number because they explained to me that the Bath and body Works customer service blocks unknown numbers if you have an iPhone which I do. Every time I called, they said they would have options to help me, but they never did another time I called they said while we’re gonna put you on the phone with an online agent that was a lie she came back with the same phone number I already had. I was talking to three online agents at different times. The first one seemed fishy because she only asked for my email. She didn’t ask for any of the information from the transaction receipts or the gift card itself. She said you have to wait one or two business days for someone to email you to sort things out nothing happened. A couple days later I was talking to another person and this one actually asked for information about the gift card and they said you have to wait 24 hours before someone emails you with a new gift card or someone to reach out to you to fix this issue. I never got new email or no new gift card. And then when I contacted the last representative, she told me it took 3 to 5 business days for them to email me my new gift card. She did ask for the gift card information all she asked for with the big number on the card, however they said they couldn’t find it. Well they couldn’t find it. They could be emailed me back and explained that to me. However, she said you have to give me time and I will issue a new digital gift card in your email. Well it’s been 3 to 5 days and I haven’t got anything. Bath and body Works like to lie to you they want you to think they have a customer service and that they’re doing something to help you but they don’t they tell you lies. They’re retarded with one lie to the next.

Do not purchase e-gift cards!

UPDATE TO BELOW POST: PayPal refunded the purchaser of the E-gift card with no issues. They were more efficient than Bath and Body Works, which says alot.
I received an E-gift card on 12/31/2025, and it was accidentally deleted. After calling "customer care", I was told that they are unable to retrieve transactions that are that old (5 months to be exact). I was lied to by the customer service agent who told me that I was speaking to corporate. A supervisor got on the phone and told me they could give me a courtesy $20 gift card, which I denied as the gift card that was originally sent to me was $40. It is very deceptive to offer e-gift cards for purchase, with no supposed expiration date, however if you wait too long to use it, there will be no history of it. I plan to have the purchaser dispute the purchase with their bank, and I am completely done with bath and body works after over a decade of spending money with them. Instead of spending my time chasing money that was stolen from me, I choose to inform others of Bath and body works's deceptive practices. DO NOT PURCHASE E-GIFT CARDS!

I have been a customer for many years.
I find it frustrating when I find a fragrance I really like for shower gel, lotion and spray mist and when I go to reorder, it is gone.
I am not a fan of Japanese Cherry Blossom (which they always seem to have) but over the years I frequently ordered White Citrus and Twilight Woods.
I am considering using some unscented products and the getting a body spray somewhere of a scent I like that I know will be continued.

A disappointed customer

I have been buying from bbw and I spent approximately 2200 a year and just went to bbw in midland Texas and my surprised they no longer give away the small bbw bags....I just spent almost 200.00 dollars which it was to give away....ya'll are not the only store out there so by saving a few pennies ya'll lost me as a customer....your prices are overpriced and ya'll have become a cheap company....I love customer service and ya'll don't have it

Bath & Body a big disappointment!

My husband and I encountered a horrible experience in Bath & Body located in the Dover Mall in Dover, DE.
My husband was just trying to get some items from Bath & Body for my birthday.
No one greeted us when we entered the store.
However, that was not the main issue. As we continued to look at the various items, my husband noticed that no one took the time to ask us if we needed help.
He observed the lady just standing back and looking at everything but us. There was no one else in the store but my husband and I and one other customer.
Therefore, my husband went to get help from the person working at the cash register. Next, we both noticed that as soon as a Caucasian couple came in the store, the same lady who was just standing around immediately rush over to greet and assist them.
My husband and I were humiliated because she blatantly ignored us the entire time we were in the store. I told my husband that this is a first time experience for me in Bath & Body.
Unfortunately, we left the store very disappointed. We will not be returning to that location. Good customer service is still very important .

Delivery experience

This was my first time ordering delivery from Bath & Body Works, as I usually shop in-store, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing.

I really love the products — the scents and quality are always great. However, the packaging and delivery were not up to the same standard. The items (including body mists) were packed very carelessly, with little to no protection. Some bottles seemed to be open or not properly closed, and everything was just loosely thrown together.

Considering that these products are quite fragile, I would expect much more secure packaging. I hope this is something that can be improved in the future.

Suspicious

I forgot to put a discount code in for a free tote. I placed my order after business hours. The website stated that if we contact customer service right away they would be able to enter it on my order. After hours they have an AI named Violet to help you with issues. I tried to explain this to the AI and I just kept getting an answer back that she didn't understand my issue. I called customer service the next day and spoke with Mike who told me it was too late and that the promo ended the night before. That just seems suspicious. I just signed up to become a member and now Im not so sure about Bath and Body works.

I placed an order online from Bath & Body Works and everything arrived on time and well packaged. Most of the items were in good condition, but one of the refillable soaps arrived leaking. It wasn’t a huge mess, but some product did spill and the bottle wasn’t completely secure.

Overall, I’m still happy with the purchase and the quality of the products, but I do think packaging for liquid items like soap refills could be improved to prevent leaking during shipping. I would still order again, just hoping for better sealing next time.

If I could leave zero stars

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I have had an account with Bath & Body Works for years. When I visited the store a couple of weeks ago, they informed me that I didn't have a rewards account and signed me up using my phone number. When I tried to log in online, it showed that I wasn't enrolled in the rewards program yet at the store, and I was informed that I had a free item. I contacted the store and the online chat as well as called the customer service. The only help they ever gave me was to reset my password. No matter how many times I told them that I had done that, it was the solution they always gave me. Yesterday, when I was talking to their customer service, they said they would delete my account and transfer my reward points to my new account. That never happened, and now I have lost my free item. The customer service for this company is incompetent and unhelpful. I am done with them and will be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Unfortunate Service

I visited your store located on West 86th St in Indianapolis, In. I haven’t been inside your store for many years. So I decided to visit and purchase some items. The store is wonderful, but your manager is not polite. As I explained I have not been inside the store for several years and while checking out, I asked the cashier …If you buy 2 and get one free why doesn’t it receipt reflect the free price.
She explained that if I wanted to rerun the free item then the computer would have to reflect a price. I didn’t understand that. So as we are speaking, I hate to assume, but a lady came out from the back and stated What’s the problem, no one was yelling no voices were raised. This lady. Assuming she was the manager stated the same thing as the cashier. I told her that what if I didn’t want to return and item, I would still be charged for it and I had no intentions to return items. I just wanted to know why your signage stated buy 2 get 1 free. When u don’t. I just wanted to know the process. The manager was upset and stated I could call customer service or not purchase the items, which he began to take them from the bag. I just wanted to know the procedure of your sale. manager was not thoughtful during her explanation, basically she was kinda rude…. I returned home and thought do I want to give my monies to a rude company representative, who rushed off the cashier. And I said thank you and the cashier acted as though she wasn’t suppose to return a thank u greeting. I will return your items and make sure all my friends and colleagues know about this incident… Not Good Bath and Boy Works.

NO to animal testing

Hello, i would like to know why B&BW test their products on animals and then has it listted on some of the items 'not tested on animals.' it's easy to have that written on a product but if it's not true, and there is no rabbit logo or PETA emblem, then it's false advertising. I was recently given a bottle of hand soap as a gift, but when I found out that B&BW tests on animals I didn't want it. It's shameful to make false claims and even more shameful to support such a horrible practice.

In store service great online with purchase and order shity but customer service I just dealt with Joseph excellent 👌 A1 and speedy and the person before him I'm satisfied wish I got my free item that was supposed to go with my order but whatever I love bath and body works if my legs allow I'll just go in-store from now on because I'll get a better service beside customer service fix this please. If i could rate zero i would

If i could rate zero i would! The wallflowers are a disaster. Lucky if they last 3 months. They leak. Burn out quickly and the prices keep going up. And they will not replace them. They will give you all kinds of excuses like you can't let them lay on their sides or tighten the diffuser too much. Etc. The scent also may only last two or three days of high are lucky

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this email with great frustration and disappointment after years as a dedicated, high-spending Bath & Body Works customer.
I have been calling several times and getting no one to help me. I submitted an order on 04/24/2026 and called today 5/5/2026 as I still have not received that order.
Rep told me there is nothing she can do and I told her that I wanted to speak with a manager who told me the same thing.

Over the course of my relationship with this brand, I have spent between $10,000 and $20,000. I have supported this company through countless sales, product launches, and seasonal collections. I have been loyal when many customers were not. And yet, I am being treated as though I am the problem.

Here is the reality of what I have experienced:

1. DAMAGED & MISSING ITEMS — On multiple occasions, I have received orders with damaged products and missing items. These are not small issues. These are paid-for products that never made it to me in acceptable condition.

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSAL TO HELP — Each time I have contacted customer service to resolve these issues, I am met with representatives who openly tell me they have been instructed NOT to assist me. They are reading from a screen that flags my account and directs them to deny me help. I am being blacklisted — as a paying, loyal customer — with zero explanation and zero recourse.

3. NO ACCOUNTABILITY — There has been no transparency, no resolution, and no respect shown toward me as a customer who has contributed significantly to this company's revenue.

This is not just poor customer service. This is a deliberate policy that targets and silences customers who raise legitimate concerns. It is unethical, and I believe it may constitute unfair business practices.

I am formally requesting the following:
— A full explanation as to why my account has been flagged and why staff are instructed not to help me
— Immediate resolution of all outstanding damaged and missing item claims
— A written response from senior leadership acknowledging this situation

I have given this company my loyalty and my money for years. The least I deserve is to be treated with basic dignity and fairness.

BBW does not care about losing 1 to few customers since they have millions of customers
