As I got my amazon prime membership started, AUDIBLE started subscription.
Probably from India where the support is at.
They didnt know anything but I got suspicious ad I got an Indian named support.
They ended subscription but did not revoke payment.
One cannot delete audible account which was my request. This is because it is coexisting with amazon account.
Report audible to amazon to stop the criminals. End india support. End india involvement in western companies.

It is hard to believe this is an Amazon company. Their customer service is unbelievably poor. They continued to charge me for years, after I made multiple attempts to cancel. When confronted with the charges, they finally and reluctantly refunded 12 of 65 monthly charges. Stay far, far away.

My audiobooks won't play! I've got a library full of books, and none of them will start. They throw an error and crash. This has been going on for months. Support is unresponsive.

This was once one of my favorite sites. Now, it's worse than useless.

It’s a LIE that you can get any real PHONE service on Audible!!! I’m 84 years old and have had an Audible account for YEARS! Just recently, I discovered that as a loyal Audible subscriber I could not download FREE Kindle Unlimited books if Audible also recorded that particular book. I HAD to PURCHASE the Audible version with a credit! Nor could I access an Audible promotion deal that was open to non-Audible account holders. AGAIN, the system REQUIRES me to use an Audible credit (or pay the FULL price (more than $16,) rather than allow me the promotion price of $2.42! I TRIED to get a PHONE number for Audible. It gave me a phoney phone number that turn out to be a chatbot. After texted the chatbot for awhile, I asked to speak to someone. The bot transferred me to a billing that said it charged me a ‘fully refundable’ (?) $5. The bot said I’d get a call within 4 minutes. After about 10 minutes, I got a text that someone had attempted to call me but it went to voicemail. However, I was holding my phone and my hearing aides are connected with my phone. I can’t imagine how anyone could have called. I asked the (supposed) agent to please call back within the next 10 minutes because it was approaching midnight. I never heard back. (I have no idea whether I was charged for that call.). I tried again today to reach a live body. This time I got the same window for a chatbot. HOWEVER, this time, I wasn’t permitted to even TEXT! The system, instead, would only permit me a multiple-choice menu to choose from. They call this ‘CUSTOMER SERVICE????

I've loved audible for 2 decades. It's such a great audio book website. When I can't afford it, they often offer huge discounts for me to be able to remain a subscriber. They're an excellent company.

I was a customer for years. At one point I made a second account with a second email by mistake. I didn’t have access to the original email anymore. . I tried for so long to get someone to help me merge the two accounts. I purchased all those books in both accounts and was paying monthly fee but no one ever could. I think that is a terrible way to treat customers. I wasted so much money over the years and nothing to show for it. Audible has terrible customer service.

Worst customer service, no way to contact them, their website is useless, when you pause your membership they still charge you, need to have my money back and I resing. This company sucks

I have always done that "standard" audible plan when it went on offer. The last time I did this, they revoked the books when I cancelled. It is under the FAQ but I have been a member on and off for many years so it is clearly missable. Support of no help and refused to allow me to raise a complaint (is that legal?).

Standard plan you are now RENTING a SINGLE BOOK per month (plus the plus catalogue which I don't use as it isn't great). Horrendous and I will not be using audible again.

Untrustworthy company! Customer service will straight lie to u over and over! Just abt impossible to cancel. Easier to cancel ur card if u don't want to get charged for months n months after u cancel. I canceled 5 times! We will see if they try and charge me again. Also, most of the books are free at the library anyway!

Misleading advertisement of the trial. You lose access to the trial immediately upon cancelling your membership - not what they write.

The content is great but this is a scam company.

it is a web of absolute mystery to cancel the subscription. They throw everything in front of you to make it as cumbersome and difficult as possible to end the subscription. I think that is very disingenous and unprincipled. I was sick to my stomach to witness a subsidary of the biggest retailer globally would stoop to such lows to swindle people out of their money. I think if the little grandmother who has no support being in this situation.. what a greedy heartless world we live in.. Shame on Audible!!

Cancelar la suscripción en Audible es desesperante. Está claramente diseñado para que no puedas hacerlo fácilmente: páginas que no cargan bien, botones ocultos y un proceso largo lleno de intentos de retenerte.
Tuve que repetirlo varias veces y cambiar a versión de ordenador porque en el móvil prácticamente no funciona.
Además, la suscripción no merece la pena: la mayoría de los audiolibros interesantes hay que pagarlos aparte, y lo que está incluido es bastante pobre.
No lo recomiendo en absoluto.

Spent over 56 mins on the phone with Audible. They could not answer why my side kept telling me I was ineligible for the sign up offer. I sent 4 emails with screen shots to them. Was told they never received them. Kept asking me to resend them. Wanted to sign me up without the introductory offer. Kept asking to use my CC. But could not address why I was ineligible. Offered to give the the sign up offer for $22 per month vs $14.95 per month if I wanted the 2 credits for 2 free books. Kept telling me once I get the books, they are mine for a lifetime even after I cancel the program. Finding out from other reviews that is false information.

The guy name Arbaaz was so nice and kind he helped me a lot with my account section. He’s one of the best employees that audible have. Thank you so much my experience was wonderful.

I will always leave negative reviews for businesses that do anything sneaky. If I could leave zero stars I would. You would think that you may not need to return an audio book. However, if you get a book that isn't playing correctly, in another language, or is simply misrepresented and garbage... then you'd want your money back. Right? Me, too. Welllllll, you can make a return on Audible HOWEVER,
You must be an active Audible Premium Plus member in good standing.
You’re making the return within 365 days of its purchase date.
You purchased the title with an Audible credit.
In other words, because I used CASH MONEY instead of a credit, I couldn't get my money back for literally the WORST book I've read in history. I've read eleventy billion (Yes, I know that's not a number. I'm trying to immerse you here. Stay with me.) books and this was seriously the worst book I've encountered in my life. It was represented as one thing but it was entirely another. No refund for me :(

Returns for Premium + members only
I bought 2 different editions of the same book by mistake and found that I am unable to return the accidental purchase as I am not a Premium+ member
Signed up for a free trial of that membership only to find that I can only return books that were "Purchased" using membership credits.
So there is NO option to return a product you paid for.

Dont deserve one star! Their promotions are scammy considering once you take it, nowhere can you look to see when it expires so you have time to cancel beforehand if you choose! I mean Nowhere in the app can you locate this information……. went on amazon, still cannot locate this information! This is predatory and a class action lawsuit will eventually be filed for this practice!

After canceling membership, still receive from my bank notifications about charging... Even it was free- trial.
Canceling process looks like scam.. So many pages of confirmation!

Be very careful before signing up for Audible. It is difficult to end your subscription. I have tried unsubscribing, responding “Cancel” and marking it as “spam.” After paying for three months, I went to audible.com and was finally able to unsubscribe. Never again.
