Audible Arvostelua 

I am extremely frustrated with Audible charging my account without authorization. The mobile app makes it incredibly difficult to find cancellation settings, and hidden recurring fees kept hitting my statement. When a company relies on making it hard to stop payments rather than providing a transparent service, it feels less like a subscription and more like they are stealing money from customers. I want my money refunded immediately.

I have not used this app in so long- am so sick of them stealing peoples money. enough is enough. and then they make it to where u can’t cancel. shame on you!

Hadde kjøpt 10 bøker som ikke var inkludert i abonnemanget, så skulle jeg logge inn å lese en av de igjen etter 3 år og da er kontoen inaktiv og slettet.

Du har ikke et aktivt abonnemang og kontoen er slettet, men du kan lage en ny konto. Det er tyveri, det er flere tusen kroner de har tatt fra meg! Ikke greit!

Kundeservicen er i india og de sluttet bare å svare.

Be careful about the cancellation, after several attempts they might not let you cancel. Also Very poor on book collection only you can select one book per month by normal membership,

Shady company. All good until you want to cancel. When I tried to get to the cancel screen online, all of a sudden it threw me off the website. I couldn’t get back to get to the screen to cancel. Called customer service. They put me on hold and the first guy who eventually answers isn’t allowed to cancel so he put me on hold again to wait to talk to another guy. So frustrating dealing with this company. Amazon is complicit in this shakedown.

Audible changed its model for standard subscription from 1 credit to 1 'monthly selection'. It was nowhere advertised that this meant I would be unable to keep my books!!! Had this simply been plainly and clearly advertised, I might have purchased premium and been happy, but it was not and I am furious. This kind of intentional misleading advertising must be illegal and I hope Amazon is sued over it. Customer service were useless.

Terrible AI voiceovers. It's a shame, because real voice professionals not only deserve the work, but it's a whole different experience for the user. I can't stand AI narration: it lacks tonal variation and authenticity. I tried the free trial and I'll never pay for this level of quality.

Ok so I thought I was buying 2 books for one credit. What happened is I unknowingly bought an extra credit. I called to complain about getting two charges this month. So I feel tricked. Then I go to leave a review- and I get this message- We apologize but this account has not met the minimum eligibility requirements to write a review. -- You think Im not going to find a way to leave a review when I feel taken advantage of?

DO NOT USE THE TRIAL PERIOD! IT'S A TRAP! They charge you anyway even if you cancel, there is no email address for the customer service team AND when you are finally able to contact them, they give all the posible excuses to not refund you! DO NOT USE IT!

Despite long term membership, Audible stole 3 earned credits when I stopped the subscription. No way I will resume my subscription with this policy. Last time I periodically stopped the subscription, this didn't happen. And it is impossible to find the customer support for this issue :-). They have learned from Meta ;-).

Like others mention, if you cancel your subscription you lose access to the books you’ve selected with your “credits” Audible is more like a book rental company. Better off to just buy the books you want. The library selection that you can choose from is terrible as well.

If you travel abroad you can't reproduce your audiobooks because your store belongs to another country and you have to buy content from the country you currently are.

Besides, if you have a monthly subscription you basically pay to own nothing. The audiobooks you have (and paid for) stop being available the instant you pause or cancel the monthly payments.

Overall, you just lose money every month.

Btw: I canceled yesterday.

I never quite could understand when reading a book became listening to a book was still reading. In a world where we don't even know phone numbers No more now people are gonna forget that english language completely most probably can't spell or really read this message. Then, you hear people say, they read a book, here they were listening to it. Thinking they're smarter. Let your brain do the work. Then you'll feel smarter. Instead of sitting in a room full of dummies

they lie and hide and deliberately make it impossible to cancel

Such a scam. I've been paying for audible on an every other month basis for I'm embarrassed to even say like over a year and a half. The only reason I didn't cancel is because they take away credits you paid for if you cancel. And yet, somehow after paying all that, I still had only a few usable credits in my account. I recently found out credits expire too. Waste of money and just really sleazy of them. I got on, purchased a bunch of books I don't even want, then canceled. Never getting back on again.

It is ridiculous that you cant pause your membership for more than 3 months. And if you cancel your subscription you lose all your credits. Rip-off.

The support/customer service is just horrific. I have no words for the ineptitude of amazon's support systems. Really, you suspend my account, then require me to log in to access support chat.... HOW??

Some audiobook is such a bad quality that it is not possible to listen to it. Still the company is not refunding it because the audiobook was purchased on a sale and not by a credit. This is not clarified when you buy the audiobook and it is fraudulent. Selling an item that is not usable and not allowing a return.
