The support group is amazing. It is difficult to access anxiety help where I live so the group provides the opportunity to share and support others. The counsellor always manages to keep the conversation flowing and it all feels very natural.

Last year I signed up for a membership with Anxiety UK and this year my subscription was automatically renewed which was never pointed out to me. I was never sent an email or letter to state that my membership was coming up for renewal.

This charity is meant to be supporting vulnerable people but instead making a profit from the membership.

My assigned therapist helped me find coping mechanisms for my anxiety and I now feel better than I have in years. I feel that if you are willing to put in the work this can be a really great help.

The tiered pricing is also very fair compared to private therapy which can be extremely expensive.

Unfortunately this Charity was a real disappointment. Having paid to join I was unable to access the benefits of their service and consequently cancelled my membership a few days later. I had to battle over getting a full refund..they kept referring me to their terms and conditions whereas I kept pointing out that legally I was within my rights to receive a full refund..legislation has precedence over terms and conditions (I checked this with Citizen’s Advice)…They eventually gave me a full refund after I made it clear I would pursue this in the small claims court. So, definitely not what you need if you suffer from anxiety and a poor ethos from a charitable concern.

I was lost and stumbled upon Anxiety UK. A few months ago I was very lost, everything seemed to pile on top of me, worries and stress in abundance. I was given the opportunity to use one of their counsellors and it's been the best thing I have done. They are all helpful exceptionally kind and nothing is too much trouble, I couldn't fill any forms out - I would panic - they assisted me through everything. It has been quite emotional but I am working through things with their continued support and guidance. I am now beginning to see the light at the end of the dark tunnel. I didn't know what to expect after messaging AnxietyUK for advice for something that I had never had to deal with in the past but I'm glad I did. I recently contacted Anxiety UK and am very pleased that I did. I am a cancer patient (I also have COPD and have Paranoid Schizophrenia and related mental health issues) and I suffer from severe claustrophobia, which began during 35 consecutive days of radical Radiotherapy (Dec 2019 - Feb 2020) during which I was 'locked down' on to a table, with a plastic mask covering my head, shoulders and chest.

I managed to overcome my panic due to the fact that each session lasted only a few minutes. The kind Doctors and Nurses at Sheffield's Weston Park hospital - where I had my Radiotherapy - were very understanding. After the first two or three sessions, when I was struggling to cope, together we found a solution!

By allowing me to 'Strip down' to my shorts - and with the air conditioner blowing hard and cold, which was a distraction - I was able to cope.

However, this has left me with severe Claustrophobia. I must admit that In the past, I considered Claustrophobia to be a 'pseudo' Illness - how wrong I was. It's very real, and very terrifying .

I now need an MRI or CT/PET scan every three months. Thanks to 'Anxiety UK', I now have the information I require to find an alternative - an 'open MRI', which means I won't have to go Into that horrible tube - instead, I shall be able to sit or stand without being put into (what seems like) a coffin or a crematorium.

Anxiety UK have helped me a great deal and have given me several contacts who can help. I can't thank them enough. Anxiety UK understand these problems and I would recommend anyone suffering from anxiety/panic attacks/claustrophobia or any similar problems, to get In touch with these wonderful people who understand our problems.

Anxiety UK are great to deal with and offer some amazing signposting, groups and therapies. At the point at which you need their support, they are there. And they don't add any further layers of stress to your life to deal with - quite the opposite.

My counsellor was excellent in guiding me back from a dark place in my life. Without Anxiety UK's help I don't think I would still be here.

The Calm Club Positive Thinking session on Wednesday at 2PM was a comforting experience. The therapist had a friendly and professional manner that kept me engaged throughout. I am looking forward to the next session. Thank you very much.

The website isnt clear when it comes to booking for online group support. But someone rang me from the team to help me book for a session. Looking forward to my first session.

I called the helpline during a very anxious episode but didn't get through (I understand that they're very busy) so I can't say anything about the help they offer, but I just want to say that having to listen to the Can-Can whilst waiting for someone to pick up the phone feels like a pi*ss take on those who need immediate help.

The digital platform was complicated to navigate. There was no acknowledgment of how anxious the inadequate digital platform is and its impact on me (as a user). By definition people coming Anxiety UK are anxious and in need of support. They do not need the extra stress of navigating how they can use the service. After dealing with Anxiety UK I
did not feel adequately supported in having an accessible experience and spent hours trying to work my way through the system. When I did eventually get to the therapists it was a good encounter, but the access issues mired my experience and the fact that it did not appear that my feedback or continued patronage mattered.

With therapy having a negative stigma related to it (especially in Asian households) I wasn't to sure if this was right for me. I had just recently faced unemployment and felt lost.

I still went through with it and very soon saw the benefits. The therapist gave tips on how to overcome anxious feelings and provided methods to use on a day to day basis.

I would recommend Anxiety UK to anyone in a similar situation.

They also have a variety of different therapy sessions which you can choose or they recommend one based on your particular situation and needs.

I have been a member for three years initially using for discount on the "headspace app" and on some Kalms products. Recently I took advantage of their referral system and was able to gain access to therapy within 7 days as opposed to waiting 6+ weeks for an NHS referral. Yes, it still costs money but it is discounted and more importantly the process was seamless which is a pretty big deal when you are looking for help with anxiety!

I really look forward to the half hour sessions in Calm Club. They give me time to relax in safe hands. Anxiety UK has been a lifesaver.
Exceptional value as well so absolutely worth a try.
