Alpkit Arvostelua 

Bought a tent from here less than a year ago and it’s not been fit for purpose. They advertise a desire to be sustainable and offer repair services and product warranty but I have been trying to contact them for almost a month now to get help regarding my tent and have never been replied to once. I have tried multiple avenues to contact them and provided order details showing my product is still well within the time of their warranty and am just being completely ignored. I have had to come home from my last camping trip 2 days early as I just wasn’t confident my tent would keep me sheltered and dry as promised in the product description. Hugely disappointed in not only the quality of the product but the level of customer service as well. I always try to buy from local companies with the environment in mind but this company has not met my expectations and hasn’t tried to help rectify the issues either.

At the ripe old age of 60+ l have walked, explored and stopped out all my life, These days they call it wild and stealth camping, back in the day it did not really have a name it was just being out. 'Get on with it you old git' l hear you shout, well my point is I have used various companies over the years, from army surplus through to the bigger companies like Berghaus and Rab, but l must say Alpkit is more than right up there with the best , it is the best. Why? Well the customer service is second to none, fast friendly and very efficient, (Edward sorted everything in a matter of minutes), the aray of kit is amazing and the quality will not let you down. These days we are spoilt for great choice but if you choose Alpkit they will not let you down.

Alpkit offer outstanding quality products at excellent prices. I always recommend Alpkit to people.
I’ve got sleeping bags, clothing and torches. All great and super happy.
Had an issue with a battery in one of the torches and alpkit replaced it without question, far outside the normal warranty period. This is why I always return. Great service and great kit 👍

This is such a shame because I’ve previously had good experiences with Alpkit / Sonder and their customer service has been excellent:

I purchased a titanium Sonder bike frame about 18 months ago. After a fall I bent the sliding dropout and was unable to correct despite the right tooling. I tried to order a new one but they were out of stock, so I registered my email and waited a couple of weeks. Still out of stock, I contacted Alpkit / Sonder, who said they had them in stock but they weren’t listed on their website, for some reason, and that they’d put an order in to the warehouse for me. Four weeks later, still nothing. It’s been nearly two months now since this started, still no sign of new dropouts and zero comms on the issue.

For those who don’t know, dropouts are bespoke to the frame, so if you damage one, and can’t source a new one from the manufacturer (there are no third party manufactured dropouts I can find for this bike), then your £1600 bike frame is essentially useless. If you’re a moderate to serious biker, I’d be very cautious buying a bike / frame from a company that can’t provide spares that are essential for the bike’s operation, unless you want a very expensive bike shaped paperweight in your garage.

I had been using alpkit for years now and had great customer service every time until this past month…
I had returned a bike packing frame bag that had broken - I’d had it for a about a year, emailed alpkit and they got straight back saying it has a 3 year warranty.. so great sent it back for them to have a look /repair/replace.. had confirmation email saying that had received it back on 28/4/26 and since then had zero correspondence I have also sent at least 4 or 5 emails asking for any more information and every single one has been ignored.. incredibly disappointing.

I had another bike packing trip coming up which I have just completed this past weekend and needed to buy another bag from a competitor as a replacement!

Alpkit not only make great kit (everything does exactly what it’s meant to) but their customer service is superb. Not to mention their environmental credentials and all-round ethos. Just a brilliant company.

Only received half my order. It was only a small order, 2x 3 pack of koala straps, they only sent one pack. No response to my email, can't seem to get through on the phone. I think its a simple error, possibly sent out on next day delivery instead of standard, but this doesn't change the fact, I didn't receive what I ordered

Had an issue with delivery on my order. I called Alpkit (spoke with Ed) and I got a new order setup and a refund on the delivery. Great service.

Came across Alpkit by accident but so impressed by their gear, value for money and customer service, they are now my first point of call if I need something for for adventures

Great customer service, had an issue with a wheel, contacted them to describe fault. No quibble they simply replaced the wheel.

I find Alpkit to be one of the best outdoor retailers around. I have bought many items over the years from clothing to camping equipment. Their products are of a high quality, do the job they are made for well & are durable.
The staff in the stores are always friendly, helpful & knowledgeable about their stock, it’s a pleasure to visit.
I have recently needed to contact customer services for the very first time (delivery company issue!) & they are just brilliant. They were very quick to respond & dealt with the problem the same day. It’s a relief to get such a personal service from a lovely friendly person. Many thanks to Edward for sorting it all out & keeping me informed throughout. Highly recommend Alpkit.

Great customer service! Order didn’t arrive on the day I paid for due to a courier problem. To start with it was easy to get through to speak to someone, they were very helpful, kept me informed and sent another order out immediately. Once they saw the original order had been delivered they cancelled the delivery of the second order so that saved me the hassle of returning it. Thanks Dominic for your help!

Ordered a Sonder Confucius on the 12th of March, still hasn't arrived 6 (six!) weeks later.
First tracked package reached my country, but then went back. Another one was sent, and the second package tracking number went dead after a few days.
Alpkit asked multiple times to confirm my address (which if you put it in google maps resolves without a problem). The address is in a city of a 1/4 million people.
I called Alpkit again today, and was given the tracking number that reported on not working since 2 weeks (it hasn't started working).

The product might be ok (I still have some hopes it will someday actually arrive), but Alpkit has selected the wrong partner as their carrier (MHI) and I am being told nothing can be done about this.

I was waiting for fresh stock from China on my my Tarpstar 2 over the winter. This gave me a chance to realise that I really needed the.Tarpstar 4.
More space obviously and slightly bigger to carry but since this is for a motorcycle and not backpacking I will enjoy the extra space.
Superb communications throughout and the swap was easy managed by the excellent Brendan. Tonight I will be in it for the first time!
A very straightforward company to deal with and I will be buying more items in the future for certain. Most highly recommended.

I have used this great company for a few years now. My most recent purchase was a Camino Gravel bike which I absolutely love. I have not yet had a chance to test it fully but initial results are very promising. All of the staff with whom I have talked have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I love the fact that they are environmentally aware too. Great company, I would highly recommend them!

Bought a range extender for my El Camino and arrived with no instructions. I contacted support and a link to it arrived today. This should have been in the box or a QR code. Hopefully the extender will help extend my trips over 60 mile and understand the colours.

I've been buying Alpkit cycling and camping gear since 2009 and have always been impressed with the customer service and quality. A recent glitch in communication led to several exchanges with Customer Service and my issue has now been satisfactorily resolved,
Everything doesn't always go perfectly but it's always good to deal with a company that strives to put things right.

Been using Alpkit for years & they never disappoint. If there's ever an issue or problem - stuff happens! - the staff online and at the nearest shop (Edinburgh) always do their best to sort it out. Leaving a review after today's small but ideal interaction. The kit is good, but it's the people who work there that have me coming back.

Brilliant bike! Love it and wish I had bought sooner! Well packaged. Well built. Even got a tool to aid the minimal 'putting together'! Electronic gears are awesome - everything was already set up as well.
Maybe have to buy another bike for my Wife!
