Pop in to allen ford Swindon greeted by a nice chap Ique who show me around the puma and I've purchased a mangactic grey low millage car been great. Recommend Ique 5*****

Terrible customer service.
Booked in for a service on a Price Match against another dealership.
Dropped car off which was quick, to then get a phone call saying they can’t price match and the cost would be full price, when told not touch the car they had “already started”.
Received a “good will gesture” of a small discount on the full price.
But you can’t price match/ guarantee and then decide you’ll them increase it back to full price after the customer has left.
After requesting contact from Branch manager, you get the “oh he’s busy/not available” or he’ll be in contact excuses etc etc
Still no contact from them after numerous complaints and requests.
Tried to contact head office to no avail !
Disgusting customer service.
Rugby branch (now closed) was the worst but closely followed by the Nuneaton branch now.
Think it might be time to change brands (VW group, Toyota etc) I hear there’s a better choice of brands with a nearby franchisee.

My partner booked a test drive of a used car for 4pm. We drove for an hour and arrived at the dealership ten minutes early where we were met by the sales rep who apologised as they were with someone else - we understood and were happy to wait (it would have been nice to have been offered a drink but we weren't).
At 4:25 pm a different sales rep came over and introduced themselves then told us that the car we had booked a test drive in had been sold at lunchtime. When I asked why we hadn't been informed the reply was 'I wasn't dealing with you.' There was no suggestion of looking at other cars (there were at least four other of the same car on the forecourt) and no explanation as to why we had been left sitting for half an hour in the showroom before being informed. I'm guessing the Sales Manager was the person sat behind a desk who could have come and spoken to us but I guess Allen Ford Warwick aren't that interested in selling cars!
Needless to say we won't be visiting any of the Allen Group in future. BTW, they have not responded to any of the reviews that we have posted so far...

All went well when dealing with Alex on the purchase of a Ford Puma. We decided we would go away and think about it and let him know tomorrow. As we were about to leave an unknown salesman approached and said he could maybe do us a deal if we took the finance, which we had already said we didn't want. He then became very pushy and even aggressive whilst telling us we would only get a deal if we signed up there and then. What a knob head, will not being going back there.

Needed their help when my transit based Swift motorhome broke down 3 hrs away from home in Norfolk.
The gearbox failed with various errors and needed to drop the van to them from recovery as the gearbox won't allow me to move it!
Allen Ford Northampton said they could not accept the van from recovery until the day that they could look at it.....
So let me get this straight, a Ford van which has broken down cannot be kept until you can look at it?
They repeatedly stated they are not Ford.......what am I supposed to do with it?
So if you buy a ford, they basically won't look after you.
I'll be bring this up with Ford HO on Monday as I am so disappointed with the response of this particular dealer.
Thankfully the local Norwich dealer Bussey will take it for warranty to allow me to eventually get it home. But this means I need to get a hire car to get home and then take another day off to come and collect it 3 hrs away.
Thing is they've gained a lifetime customer. As opposed to the disgrace which is Allen Ford on Bedford Road in Northampton.
I would suggest that if you want to buy any Ford vehicle, you look elsewhere as they do not care one jot.

A very frustrating experience from this company. I didn’t even make it to buying a vehicle from them! Just the lead upto it from a customer point of view of the sale was enough.
I was a cash buyer, ready to make a purchase on a second hand van in there commercial vehicle sales sector, and the sales treatment was so bad, and I felt so undervalued as a customer, I went with my gut instinct and sadly walked away from a vehicle I had been searching for, for several weeks.

I would personally be very cautious buying from these people, especially now seeing the previous reviews.

Was sold a pre owned vehicle be Keenan at the Northampton branch. All smoothly until days later it need a new cat converter. All communication went swiftly down hill from there with me being expected to arrange my own repair ! No answering of calls and emails or even an apology. Took the money and off he went. Subsequently found Allen Ford in Slough wow different story completely, wonderful caring helpful staff. Made official complaint and received an email of an apology nothing else from head of sales ( the sales man father in law ! ) I isn’t expect much less. Avails at all costs NORTHAMPTON

Do not buy a car from this company. I bought a new car from this company and it is not fit for purpose. The car is 3 years old has done approx 29,000 miles and the car needs a new engine which they want to charge me for - despite the consumer act of 2015 stating they can’t. The car has been fully maintained. They failed to fix an issue with the car when it was 21/2 years old which another garage had found and suggested taking it to Ford as it was under warranty - they even contacted the service department and explained the issue. I suspect Ford not fixing the fault lead to the engine failure. I will never buy another car from this company.

Please do not waste your time with this organisation. I have been booked into Kia Rayleigh on five separate occasions to fix my faulty EV9 and every time it has been cancelled last minute due to lack of capacity or lack of part. Each time the same voicemail, same lack of detail when you ask why, lack of care that the car has been undrivable since may 16th. Please avoid yourself the grief!

Can only speak for the Rayleigh, Essex branch but they are absolute rip-off merchants. I have a Ford Kuga plug in hybrid so I felt, because of the battery, I had little choice but to have my second service here. Big mistake, and one I will not be repeating! I know service at these places can be expensive but even so I thought £430 to change oil, 3 filters and 4 spark plugs a bit excessive. However, let’s move on.

I asked them to check a growl type noise I had coming from the front of the car. They wanted £148.33 to even look at this! Again I felt I needed to go along with it as I needed it to be sorted out. They found the problem to be a wheel bearing. Now, I’d have thought that, having discovered the problem and having it laid out in front of them, it’d be fairly reasonably priced to fix it. How naive am I? They wanted £634.23 to change the bearing! I declined this. Considering I’d already paid £148.33 for them to find it would’ve made the grand total of £782.56! This on top of the £430 service charge!

I had to remind myself this was a Ford I’m talking about, not a BMW. However, I rarely write reviews and I probably wouldn’t have bothered writing this but I took the car to my local garage. Not only have they only charged me £165 to do that repair but they said that would have included finding the fault. So if I went there from the start it would have been a staggering £617.56 cheaper than the Allen Ford Group in Rayleigh. I do hope anybody thinking about getting work done there reads this and thinks again.

Kate at the Basildon branch was so helpfull, even when there were minor issues she sorted it quickly and without any drama. Highly reccomend. She goes over and above to make sure the customers are happy.

I have been getting cars from Allen Ford Northamp for nearly 10 years now, and i would never go any where else. I recently purchased a Ford Puma on their VIP promotion weekend. I went to collect it on Thursday, but unfortunately there were a few issues around taxing the vehicle. Don't get me wrong, it was a bit inconvenient, but the way they handled the situation was amazing. They went above and beyond to rectify the problem, including delivery of my car today. Sometimes mistakes happen, that's life, but its how they dealt with it and made sure I was looked after. Special thanks to Sid, who got me a great deal, and then finally Josh, who was so professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you guys, I love my new car, you always listen to me, you never push me into something I dont want or need and you always make sure im looked after. I will continue to use Allen Ford Northampton.

Arranged with James to view a vehicle changed plans to do so Arranged time to do so only to be told a few hours before the vehicle had been sold very very very unprofessional sales person stay clear.

We had a fantastic experience purchasing our Ford Puma from Allen Ford Romford, and we’d especially like to thank Warren Cottington for all his help throughout the process.
Warren was friendly, professional and extremely helpful from start to finish. He made the whole experience straightforward and stress-free, taking the time to answer all our questions and making sure we were happy with our choice.

Family’s had transit tippers over the years always been serviced at Ford Rayeligh with no problems, they couldn’t help enough, recently had a wet belt and full service done with Ford Romford, Awful customer service, Full vehicle health check wasn’t even carried out only had a print out of the tire health not a full vehicle health check like we always receive at Rayeligh, £2,000 service all in with wet belt replaced, awful establishment, was told by Mathew in the service department a code couldn’t be removed for seat belts even though I requested it be deleted. 1000% avoid Allen fords romford for a service. Disgusting behaviour, even the office when you walk in the staff are rude, lazy and unhelpful.

Just bought a new EV from Alan Ford, James guided me through the process and answered all my questions (there were many) as it was my first EV. His knowledge on the products was exceptional and anyone thinking of getting a Ford EV go and speak to James, first class and highly recommended. The other support staff were also very helpful and worth a mention, a very professional and highly quality dealership. 10/10

Well where do i start with Allen Ford Swindon.
Picked a mustang mach e up from them on the 4th July. Beautiful looking car. Advertised as having a glass roof on advert but on viewing found it hadn't. No major problem but that should have been a warning. Anyway, we collected the car and we asked Gill how to set up the Ford App as she was just happy to let us drive off. She sat in the car and explained what to do but it wouldnt connect. She advised that it must be my Phone. We said ok we will try it later. She asked us if we could hang on as we had the ceramic coating on the car and you get a bag with all shampoo and stuff in it, again we said no problem. We then connected the car when we got home to find that the climate control on the app could not connect to the car. We tried different phones and all we had was warning lights and the horn kept going off. We called Allen ford and explained that the car wasnt connecting. They advised that as we were in our 30 day window we could take the car to a garage near us as we are based in the Midlands, so we did. They did a diagnostic and advised that the 12v battery would need to be disconnected to reset the system which cost us £54.00. Hooraaaay... it worked so i drove away. Later that day it wasnt working, Called Allen Ford Swindon again and they said that the general manager Ian Sharp (charming man) would call me, which he did. Explained the situation again, he then said the car is fine its a software issue. He didnt quite grasp that the software is part of the car bless him. They then did a remote diagnostic themselves and found there to be a pre conditioning issue. So fair play to him he arranged for the car to be picked up on the 15th July and taken back to Swindon to be looked at. He then called to say that there wasnt any fault and the car is working fine. bear in mind that this is a general manager talking. I said your not grasping this are you. The app isnt communicating with the car correctly as theres something in the car system not working............. His response....... well i dont use the app anyway i just drive (bess him). When they read this im sure they will comment below and say..... we hadnt got to collect the car..blah blah blah and the software isnt part of the car, well.....it is. And please be aware that we paid a £500.00 deposit which Gill FORGOT to take off the final invoice. Luckily we noticed a few days later and she reimbursed us..... 7 days later. Honestly joke of a place. Buyers beware!!!!!!
