I am very pleased with the upgrade on my 2014 Apple IMac. Changed the hard drive for an SSD, this has improved it massively. Saved all my pictures on a memory stick. Thanks to Tom for his work. I found them very pleasant to deal with and throughly recommend this company.

When I ran into problems with my computer, Tom attended within 24 working hours of my call. He was able to quickly identify & rectify the issue and, at the same time, answered various questions I had both patiently and in layman's terms that I could understand. It is now comforting to know that they are just a phone call away & will be able to deal with any computer hiccups or upgrades in the future. I cannot recommend their services highly enough.

I have recently had 2 computers repaired by Allens and they have done so at a fraction of the price I expected and included major upgrades.
I have absolutely no reservations in recommending them, in fact I drive 40 miles to drop them in.
They actually do things fast and answer the phone when you call.
So a choice Allen Computers or someone like PC world who take forever to tell you that your computers a write off (after an hour on hold!) or a company where you give your computer to a human that fixes it and does this quickly without fuss, use Allens we will. Peter King MD Soventix UK Ltd.

I’ve just had my old laptop upgraded by Allen Computer Services (with a better SSD) and I’m delighted with the results. I have all my precious files and data intact but with a much faster speed. Much less expense and hassle (all done by post) than buying a new PC as I was planning to. Good news for the planet too! A great value service which I would highly recommend. 👍

After my laptop crashed I took it in and Tom who is excellent kept me informed and got my laptop back to how it was brand new.

Avoid Allen like the proverbial plague. If you must buy from him, make sure you pay on Credit Card, because with his Bo-Jo disregard for the Sales of Goods Act, you will need to utilize a Section 75 Charge-Back.

In short, the company rescued my computer - an old laptop with a drive completely full of valuable data and which I also relied on for email - which had been severely damaged.
They copied all the data onto a new 1TB hard-drive and fitted it into a new computer. Everything was saved and I'm now back in action.

Recently bought a reconditioned laptop (other purchases have been made in the past).Allen computers are always knowledgeable, helpful, clear, open and concerned that you get to laptop that suits you best, not which provides the most profit. I will always continue to use this local firm for its expertise and personal touch.

I bought a new PC from this shop and everything was done quickly and smoothly, the quality is wonderful and everything was so easy to get sorted! Tech challenges always make me anxious, and I kept postponing the need to upgrade my Mac. Friends recommended Allen Computing and I'm so glad I took their advice. Tom made a first-class job of the data transfer and all the associated extras I asked for, and was extremely reassuring about the whole process. Brilliant service from this company, when I needed help with my old PC last year Tom came out and got me back up and running, then I hit a few more problems which he remotely resolved for me but I knew I would have to update my old system in the near future. That time came at the beginning of October and I now have a new refurbished PC base unit with data and applications transferred from my old one along with Windows 10 and a new printer. It was made so easy for me by the team at Allen CS and I shall use them all the time from now on. Wonderful guys!

During lockdown Tom helped us with a printer problem successfully. Then more recently Tom Axe transferred everything from our old outdated computer to a new PC, upgraded it to Windows 10 and personalised it to meet our needs. This involved 2 house visits and everything went very smoothly. We would not hesitate to use Allen’s Computer Services again and would recommend them to anyone.

Polite, prompt and informative and I feel good value for the work done.

Importantly, they were considerate of my personal information such as passwords and made me feel at ease without reeling off loads of jargon therefore making me feel that I still had control over the decisions that the customer has to make.

Be mindful that, as careful as they were, computers are meant to be discarded and for you to buy a new one, and therefore it could not be helped that the screw covers on the screen frame had dimples in them due to the need to remove them for the work to be done, but this was the only thing I noticed (apart from the lap top working perfectly afterwards thanks to their work!)

I took my PC to Allen Computer Service as I had a software problem and for a hardware upgrade. Tom was really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. All was done in a couple of days and Tom gave me a lot of good advice. Had a small problem a few days later of which Tom sorted out remotely in just a few minutes. Extremely happy with everything.
