Airauto Rent-a-Car Arvostelua 

Alles klopte, vriendelijke, prettige, professionele ervaring. Twee (echt schone) auto's gehuurd. Shuttle bus gaat vlot heen en weer. Kleine bestaande schades zijn bij halen genoteerd, bij inleveren: 40 seconden, PRIMA meneer, alles in orde. Wat ook wel eens lekker is: geen dwingende verkoop aparte verzekeringen. De tank was bij hoge uitzondering vol bij wegrijden (elders meestal half of kwart....) Wij zijn zeer tevreden !

They charge for every little thing. They are big scammers!!!!

After coming to Portugal(Faro) for 15 years we rented cars from about every rental company there is out there.

But AirAuto was the first time and as all other reviews claim it will be the last and this crooked company should be AVOIDED at ALL times. They are unfriendly and will scam you whenever ithey get the chance to do so.. So DO NOT!! rent a car here and look for anything else. It cannot be worse then this AirAuto company.

The scammed me for 200 euro's extra with the same trick they always use on car returns. The return lot also somehow has a shady,dark and unfriendly feel.

They have been arround for too long it seems and if they go out of business they will just register a new name and start scamming again under a different name. So best is that that new management with a friendly approach to clients will be best. And current people at AirAuto should all be fired.

To bad that i HAVE to give a mandetory 1 star. This company diserves none.

Een auto (Seat Ibiza) voor een week gehuurd bij Air Auto begin april 2023. 800€ borg voor een afgetrapte auto, die er niet uitzag! Onvriendelijk, louche personeel. Bij terug brengen auto, wordt gezegd dat je de borg binnen 3-5 dagen retour hebt! Dus niet. Een maand gewacht, waarna uiteindelijk automatisch de borg is terug gestort door de Credit Card maatschappij.
Geen aanrader, niet doen!!!

Ich habe den Mietwagen über Check24 gebucht und bezahlt (106,-€)
Bei der Übergabe in Portugal sollte ich zusätzlich 53,-€ bezahlen und 4 Wochen nach meiner Rückkehr wurden nochmal 63,-€ von meiner
Kreditkarte abgebucht!
Ohne Info, keine Mail oder sonstiges. Das ist kriminell!

all reviews confirm you are the worst rental company around Faro airport.
Blame me for scratches that was here before and a supposed brocken lock and try to charge me 800 euros.
The good new is that you'll be closed soon, i wish you to be unemployed for a very long time :)

AVOID AVOID AVOID - complete scam artists - like many other reviews they’ve claimed we’ve damaged the car & charged us €236, the car was filthy on collection, my wife went round every inch of the car showing damage - there was damage below the sills which was hard to see but we pointed it out- he claimed it was noted but on return they claim it wasn’t. This is a deliberate attempt to con tourists & extract every penny they possibly can

Very disappointing service. We got the car which seemed OK at first sight, but after two days the front right tire appeared soft. We inflated the tire and checked the other three, too. All 4 tires appeared to have way too low airpressure. So, we inflated them all. Again two days later, the tire pressure warning system triggered: the front right was completely flat (no pre warning). We had to change the tire on the spot. When doing so, the bag with the safety triangle and high viz vest appeared to be locked with a tiewrap, which we couldn't open on the spot, rendering the safety equipment useless.
When we returned the car, instead of an apology for the soft tires and the locked safety equipment, we got a big mouth blaming us, an employee who told us that a tire pressure of 1.3 bar was completely normal (while the sticker in the door indicates 2.5), insisting that all 4 tires must haven been OK when we received the car because the warning system hadn't shown any alarms. And we got a bill for the used spare tyre.

Personnel pas aimable et on frôle la malhonnêteté. Ils vous demandent 3000 euros de garantie prélevée le jour du retrait du véhicule si vous ne prenez pas leur forfait « sans franchise ». Comme la CB de mon mari est plafonnée à une somme inférieure à 3000 euros, je propose que la garantie soit prise avec ma CB. On m’annonce alors que je vais devoir payer 40 euros de plus car je dois me déclarer en 2eme conductrice. Je n’ai pourtant pas l’intention de conduire, je veux juste en finir avec cette question de franchise. A cela vous devrez rajouter 40 euros si vous prenez la voiture en dehors des heures de « bureau » et 40 euros si vous la rendez également plus tot ou plus tard que leurs horaires de bureau. Pratique pour des loueurs de voiture « aéroport ».. . Comble du comble : le gps de la voiture est bloqué et vous devrez vous acquitter de 35 euros pour pouvoir l’utiliser. Bref ! Une fois chez eux mais plus jamais !!

Prima auto, bij het inleveren gaat het mis, ze controleren de auto, komen ze met opmerking er ontbreekt blauw boek (documenten), waarschijnlijk door bedrijf eruit gehaald om zo 147.60 te innen,
dit is de standaard prijs die ze vragen voor het boek.
Nederlanders achter ons hadden het zelfde probleem, maar die auto hebben ze snel weggereden, zodat ze maar een kwade klant hadden, dus huur hier geen auto, duidelijk opzet iedereen speelt mee, oplichters

Never ever rent a car at AirAuto.

We got a really nice car when we rented. We checked the car when we picked it up, but we didn’t looked underneath. When we brought it back, the man who took it in suddenly saw a damage of 236 euro’s. We knew that we didn’t made any damage, but we couldn’t explain it. We read that this happens more often, so this company isn’t worth the trust. Never rent here please.

J'ai réservé une voiture à l'aéroport de Faro, Portugal. Mon vol est arrivé avec une heure de retard, 20h au lieu de 19h, ce qui reste une heure correcte pour un aéroport. L'agence m'a fait payer un supplément de 40euros car je suis arrivée soit disant hors des horaires d'ouverture. De même au retour, je rendais la voiture à 7h du matin (horaire là aussi assez courant pour un aéroport) et j'ai du payer sur place une supplément du même montant. J'ai donc payé 80euros de plus pour une location que j'ai payé 52euros sur internet (soit 132euros au total) ! Les horaires de l'agence bien évidemment ne sont pas indiqués sur le voucher envoyé par le site sur lequel j'ai fait la réservation. Par ailleurs, sur place j'ai eu beaucoup de mal à accéder à l'agence aussi bien à l'arrivée (ou la navette n'est pas passée j'ai du y aller à pied avec mes bagages en traversant routes et ronds points, qu'au retour ou le parking était différent et se trouvait à l'arrière du bâtiment , ce que l'on ne m'avait pas dit et qui était sur place très mal indiqué puis pas de navette non plus, j'ai du marcher! ). Ces gens installent leur entreprise à côté de l'aéroport pour bénéficier du flux de personnes mais ils ne s'adaptent pas aux horaires de cet aéroport qui les fait vivre! Ils ne veulent avoir que les avantages sans les inconvénients!! Et en plus ils se font de l'argent sur ces "inconvénients" (40euros est un prix très excessif, si j’additionne les deux suppléments, soit 80euros, cela me coute même plus cher que le vol qui m'a amené à Faro). C'est vraiment se moquer du client!! NB: j'ai contesté ensuite mais aucune proposition ne m'a été faite si ce n'est de me retourner vers le site internet qui m'a vendu la réservation (mais si le site donnait leurs horaires d'ouverture, ils perdraient plein de clients et ne pourraient pas non plus faire payer leur très lucratif supplément ... donc leur rejeter la responsabilité , c'est se moquer du monde! ) puis le site m'a proposé seulement 10euro à valoir sur une prochaine location d'une valeur minimale de 100euros! La encore c'est piéger puis se moquer du client!

Arrived at faro airport and wish I had read the reviews before accepting a quote that I thought to be discover card which was actually air auto, had already paid £30 deposit for the what was quoted a £90 hire with insurances added, found out they were trying to charge my credit card £2500 holding fee which would be given back a week after returning the car, clearly wasn’t comfortable
With this so ended up paying another 200 euros on top of the £40 deposit which I was told was actually discover car booking fee for being the agent that introduced me to air auto which seems ludicrous,
Had to wait for a shuttle bus for ages when arriving at the airport and then waited for almost an hour to get the car, not very friendly reception staff on return of car either at faro airport

They are a sad lot and must hate their jobs.
They just try to squeeze every penny from you.
I had told them I was paying the balance in cash but they still wanted my credit card (ok fair enough for damage road tolls etc but I had euros that i wanted to use. The guy took the money from my card and told me too late now eventually he agreed to refund when I insisted he take the cash as agreed. The money was put back on my card and he took the cash only trouble is exchange rate fees I had to pay once to take it and once to refund it. Well rather than make a fuss I just swallowed that and took my car. After a couple of weeks the car started playing up (no reverse gear for a start) I called and they agreed to exchange the car, but I would have to come to them! They were trying to imply that this was my fault and refused to allow me fuel for the trip back and forth to Faro about 100k round trip. It was then all about the fuel jut for ever trying to rip me off. Very shortly after i drove the replacement car out of their place a light came on telling me to check the tyre pressures and reset the gauge by this time I was getting tired and decided to do that in the morning. In the morning I found there was a flat tyre so I called and explaind this to them they sent a local firm out to fit the spare which was a (space saver). Again I called and spoke to them and said that they should give me a proper wheel as these are only designed for short journeys and would not suffice for the remaing two weeks of my rental. they said I would have to bring the car back and they would give me another car. So back I went another 100k round trip. The same rude attitude by the staff same miserable faces and more ripping off blaming me for the puncture charging me £146 and it goes on they wont take responsibility for anything the only thing theywant to take is money from your card. I wont go on any mre but i could. Do not use these rip off merchants

Terrible company - don't use. Got to Faro Airport, took an hour to find a shack in the car park. Queued for ages only to be told to wait for a shuttle bus. Waited another 30 minutes for a shuttle bus, was then bussed into Faro. Not very friendly reception and car had lots of prangs, no windscreen water. Trying to return car was as difficult. Quite unfriendly bus driver, had to load and unload own suitcases. Would never use again as aggro not needed when on holiday. Pay a bit more and hire from one of the reputable car places with cars already at the airport. I will in future. Learnt a lesson going cheap!

AirAuto Faro is by far the worst rental company I’ve ever used.
They’ve charged my credit card (which was used to pay for an extra named driver) several weeks after I’ve gotten home with a small fee in the hope I wouldn’t notice.
I would avoid this company like the plague.
Very poor service and attitudes from staff at the desk, they were terribly rude. I also incurred a hefty cleaning fee (€50) for some spilled bottled water on a seat. They will use any means necessary to try extract extra revenue from you.

Diverse keren gehuurd en altijd goed geholpen. Afgelopen maandag auto ingeleverd en tot onze verbazing werd er een deuk geconstateerd onder de passagiers deur. We waren ervoor verzekerd maar wisten zeker dat wij niet de veroorzaker waren. Op vliegveld alle foto's gecontroleerd die we op de afleverdatum hadden gemaakt en op 1 foto zag je deuk heel duidelijk. Direct een mail verstuurd en voordat we vliegtuig instapten hadden we al een mail dat ze het gingen uitzoeken. Nu 2 dagen later een mail ontvangen dat ze het geld retourneren en dat wij niet de veroorzaker zijn. Dus altijd foto's maken en volgend jaar huren we weer bij Air auto. Heel tevreden

Charged my for out of hours return when didn’t need to. I was told at the office to contact head office for a refund. Low and behold when I got home head office refused to refund as they said the staffed the out of office hours return especially for me, which is a lie. Shady company. Beware.

Wir waren im August in Portugal. Schon die Anmietung gestaltete sich äußerst schwierig, da an dem nicht einfach zu findenden Treffpunkt ein Wagen von airauto, der uns zur Vermietungsstation befördern sollte auch nach zweimaligen Anrufen nicht erschien.
Wir warteten genau 50 Minuten in der Hitze.
Ein weiteres Ärgernis: anscheinend hat airauto eine neue Geschäftsidee entdeckt: Abkassieren von Gebühren für eine anschließende Reinigung wegen starker Verschmutzung (30€). Diesen Betrag habe ich verweigert, da sich außer ein paar Sandkörner im Fußraum, das Auto im einwandfreien Zustand befand.
Keine Chance: der Betrag wurde dann mittels Kreditkarte abgebucht.
Ein drittes Ärgernis: einen Monat nach Rückkehr nach Deutschland wurde ein weiterer Betrag abgebucht - ohne jegliche Rechnung.

Diese Firma ist in meinen Augen im höchsten Maße unseriös!

Loueur très malhonnête. Ils appattent les clients par leurs prix attractifs mais au final cela revient bien plus cher:
A notre arrivée l avion avait du retard donc ils nous ont facturé 40 euros de plus pour un retrait soit disant en dehors des heures d ouvertures....
A la réception du véhicule il faisait déjà nuit et le loueur a fait un tour très très très rapide du véhicule en ne notant aucun defaut( comme par hasard!!!!).
Lors de la restitution du véhicule ils ont vu un micro rayure de même pas 2cm qu ils nous ont facturé 203 euros en nous disant que de toute façon comme on avait souscrit une assurance tous risque Allianz ils allaient nous rembourser.
Ce sont des personnes peu aimables et malhonnêtes, je dirais même de véritables escrocs .
Nous ne relouerons jamais chez eux.
