Terrible service!
I just wanted a refund for a promptly returned item.... I got anything and everything EXCEPT my money! The item was returned in December and received by them on January 2nd.... no refund was received so I emailed customer service and was promised a refund by January 12th. That's a ridiculously long time for a big company to refund money electronically! Just been fobbed off again.... I will never purchase from A&F again, it's too much hassle
Great after sales experience
I bought a top in a store in the US, when I got back to the UK I opened the bag and realised it had a hole in it. The team were fantastic and, as we couldn’t arrange an exchange, a refund was quickly sorted. I would, and will, definitely buy again.

Royal Mail decided to leave my parcel at the front of my house (unrequested) - this is a busy road for pedestrians. I come home to find my parcel missing.
Contacted the customer service team to tell them my item has been left outside my house unrequested, but was not there when I got home. They said as there is a ‘proof of delivery’ picture (which shows it just dumped on my doorstep) - they cannot do anything about it. Absolutely insane.
As someone who works in online retail and deals with customers and carriers daily - I have never experienced or heard anything like it.
£154 down the drain. The first time I have ordered directly from them online and it’s safe to say I will not be ordered A&F clothes either directly or from ASOS ever again.

Appalling customer service and they…
Appalling customer service and they have their own seemingly random sizing which leads to multiple rounds of returns of online orders. Store wouldn't refund items which I had already exchanged once and when I phoned up customer service I was told that I should have "made sure the items were fully suitable" ie it was my fault they have random sizing. Both of these people lied to me because I managed to get a full refund by post. I was intending to exchange one item as I finally found in store at a perfect fit but by this point I was so disappointed with Abercrombie and didn't want to remain as one of their customers.

Unclear you have to pay for returns
Not clear at all that you have to pay £2 to return. I read carefully all the small print and when I saw I would have a pre-printed return label, I assumed it would therefore be paid for. Clothes weren't great quality either, don't believe the influence hype.

Ho acquistato per un paio d'anni dal sito web A&F, e se la prima volta ho pensato ad un inconveniente invece ora sono certo che sono inefficienti e forse anche falsi nel gestire le giacenze di magazzino in corrispondenza alle vendite online. Ordianata merce il 12 dicembre vengo a scoprire dopo solo 10 giorni che la merce è andata persa dal corriere e osano pure dirmi che in futuro devo indicare io un indirizzo migliore (uno studio legale in centro Milano). Chiedo il rimborso e danno conferma ma poi improvvisamente dopo pochi minut e senza avvisarmi cancellano il rimborso (senza motivi) e mi mandano una mail dove mi allertano che non possono fare reso/rimborso !!! (...)
Li richiamo oggi.... storia incredibile e dicono che io ho scritto una mail e stanno analizzando dal reparto finanziario la mia richiesta. Ma A&F è un'azienda seria o gestita da anonimi ??? Tuttora non ho un rimborso. NON comprerò mai più A&F

Pour ma part j’ai reçu exactement les articles que je voulais, malheureusement au vu des avis j’ai peut être eu de la chance, mais en tout cas je vous recommande quand même d’essayer d’acheter chez eux, surtout que la qualité (contrairement à certains avis) est bonne. En bref articles avec des très bonnes coupes et magnifiques. (d’ailleurs mon colis est arrivé avec 1jour d’avance)

Ich bestelle recht häufig bei Abercrombie und bin immer sehr zufrieden mit den Produkten. Zudem wird schnell geliefert und die Rückgaben sind unkompliziert. Bei auftretenden Problemen wie z.B. einer Reklamation kommt mir der Kundenservice entgegen. Ich hab wirklich nichts auszusetzen. Und ja, die Rücksendegebühr beträgt 5 Euro, aber wem das zu viel ist kann auch einfach in einen Laden fahren, es kann ja nicht alles umsonst sein auf dieser Welt...

Online Experience: I love their styles and I've bought a few summer dresses. The thing is, when you order online, even with the "size chart" each piece of clothing runs a little larger or a little smaller. I'd prefer shopping in person because out of all the stores I've been to, I'd say Abercrombie clothes have such a range of what is defined as a "small" and a "medium". Again, their styles are so cute and the fabric is solid. I've ordered a few times and one time my order was shipped to the opposite coast ("umm really??") which is my reason for the 3 stars and because I gasp for air wearing some of these dresses.
***When I placed an order, the carrier was FedEx and I would receive the order in about 2 weeks***
***When you a receive a package, make sure not to rip the crap out of it because you can use the same bag for returns.
***To my voluptuous chest queens, even when you get a medium-sized dress, your chest may be gasping for dear life. I don't think I'll order another dress unless it's a low V-neck dress where the breasts have a little space to maneuver.
Things I have ordered...
-Off-The-Shoulder Corset Mini Dress favorite purchase and the dress runs short (hugs the body right)
-Emerson Ruched Angel Sleeve Mini Dress (I think for anyone over size C will struggle with putting this dress on unless they order a large). I ordered a medium because I still want the dress to hug my figure.)
-Emerson Poplin Puff Sleeve Midi Dress (Beautiful dress and unfortunately, with a medium my chest still struggles to find space. The top part of the dress really feels like you're wearing binding. The puffy sleeves and how long the dress is, I guess, counterbalances my struggle to breathe lolol.)
If I had to give any advice to Abercrombie, it would be to put elastic around the corners of the chest area so when you slide in, the top hugs instead of binds your chest :).

Absolutely terrible customer service! My initial order went missing in the post which in fairness is at no fault of Abercrombie & Fitch.
But when I raised my concerns they tried to suggest to me that Royal Mail typically delivery’s in 8 working days… after a lot of back and forth they resent my order which I then unfortunately wanted to return.
My order was delivered back on Tuesday 10/10/23. Today is 19/10/23 and I’m still waiting on my refund.
Customer support have told me I can expect payment on the 24th October. 15 days after my order was marked delivered back to them.
I’m still waiting for my refund and I’m actually doubting if I will ever receive it.
Plus the customer services have the WORSE attitude. They clearly only want to give the bare minimum.
Update 24/10/23:
I still haven’t received a refund. They haven’t even suggested my parcel has been processed for a return. Not sure I go from here. I will be contacting my bank to get the money back.
