Fantastic company. I bought a satellite receiver from World of Satellite. After faultless performance for about 18 months or so I foolishly decided the receiver need an entirely unnecessary update. I made a horrible mess of the updating process. Thereafter it no longer booted and I was convinced it was bricked. But then World of Satellite came to the rescue. I posted the item to them and they fixed it and returned it back to me the same day. 100% FREE OF CHARGE. How good is that?

I have been buying from World of Satellite for a number of years. Originally for myself and in the last 5 years as a trade buyer.

Customer service and my overall experience with WOS is 5 star.

I am going to give world of satellite a 4 rather than a 5 because I had problems with a VU+ UNO 4K SE that I had purchased from them.
I was repeatedly told that they never go wrong, but that is not true.
After 4 days, 8 rebuilds and factory resets and more than 10 hours of effort, I got nowhere with the openvix support team despite sending them a point by point list of what I was doing and, when I complained, they closed my thread.
I finally went back again to world of satellite and they sent me some instructions to follow.
The instructions were slightly different to what I had been doing, but there was one significant and optional change to the skin (the bit that makes it look pretty).
To cut a very long story short, it is essential that you change the default skin when installing openvix, because the default skin crashes making the system unusable.
Why was I not told this at the beginning, why openvix is shipped with a skin that freezes and why support did not ask me to change it, is beyond me.
The problem was clearly not of my making and the solution was far from obvious to a person not experienced with this particular system.
FYI: I note that the default skin has been changed, but I have received no personal notification or apology from Openvix for their error and for chastising me on the forum, when I was right when I said there was a fault and for them not properly reading my step by step instructions which showed I was using the then default skin (when they never use the default skin themselves).
Also note, that I have 45 years IT experience of technically supporting a wide range of IT systems and managing teams assisting me!
I therefore know only too well that when you have a problem, performing a clean build and changing as little as possible is essential. Except in this case, where the default system was flawed.

Cannot praise this Company enough. Stefano and Angelo are always willing to assist with any hiccups one may have due to lack of knowledge on my part. They talked me through with such patience some years back! Am a senior citizen but learned a lot from them to fix a problem. This is the second time I have ordered with them. Great customer service and so very courteous. Angelo is an absolute Angel just like his name. Order was placed. Arrived on time today. All set up and of we went! Simples. I have used World of Satellite several times over the years without an issue. I have just had an problem with a viewing card which they sorted out very swiftly and courteously. I always say its a sign of excellent company if they handle problems well.

Excellent technical department, iam very impressed. The choice of products are extensive and competitively priced, that's what I like about world of sat. Keep up the great work .
