I’ve never written a negative review before, but I feel compelled to warn others before they spend their hard-earned money.

In 2021, we installed Woodpecker flooring in our home. My husband, a joiner with over 25 years of experience, installed the flooring himself, something he’s done hundreds of times. The screed was professionally laid and completely level.

Within just one year, the flooring began shifting and chipping at corners. Fast forward five years, and it’s deteriorated to the point where we've had no choice but to completely replace it.

In high-traffic areas like the kitchen and front entrance, large gaps appeared between boards, the laminate began to peel and the floor became an embarrassing eyesore. We had to lay down runners and rugs just to hide the damage.

Our trusted local flooring supplier (who’s been in the industry for over 30 years) has stopped stocking Woodpecker due to numerous complaints from his customers experiencing the exact same issues we've had.

There was a 25-year guarantee with our Woodpecker flooring, but it didn’t even last a fifth of that time.

If you're considering Woodpecker, please think twice. We’ve now spent thousands more redoing what we thought would be a long-term investment.

Edited 4 months later: Since writing this review, Woodpecker has received a flurry of 5-star ratings. Just a word of caution: almost all the recent 5-star reviews focus on how great the customer service is, not the actual flooring.

You'll notice that the 1-star reviews come from customers who’ve actually had the flooring INSTALLED for a few years, and they’re the ones reporting serious issues. Something to keep in mind before making a decision.

Really dissatisfied and disappointed with this product, lasted 12 month(ish) before the joints started to fail and corners started lifting and breaking. I will add that I’m not a professional installer however, I’ve laid other brands of flooring in my own properties previously with zero issues. Seems to me the the joins are too small and of poor design/quality.
The only recommendation on this would be to avoid it really, not cheap to buy but appears to be cheap quality sadly.

Simon was very helpful. He had a good knowledge of their products. Answered all our questions. His input really helped us focus our minds on exactly what was the important criteria for us and our home /family.
We left with a few samples and will be back when we make our final decision .
I highly recommend a visit to their showroom to see floors laid over a large area rather than rely on a small sample .

Unfortunately didn’t turn up on the date provided and I had already booked the fitters to come the following day .

The Woodpecker floor was a replacement for a sub standard floor- woodpecker took compleat responsibility for this .
For no extra charge they surveyed the floor replaced it and fitted it by a very experienced fitter
So although there was great disappointment at first, you were able to speak to a human being who organized a refit of a new floor
The floor layer left having done a very good job and left the place spotless

Had trouble with delivery and Isabel at info sorted it out very quickly.

We have the Goodrich Barn Oak in our dining room. Have been really happy with it. Over a year later & it looks just as good as the day it was laid.
Hard wearing, practical floor - couldn't ask for more.

Had a problem with a floor laid 18months ago.
It was dealt with very swiftly and professionally

We have the Salcombe pearl flooring and we love it. It’s covered across the largest space in our home which also has under floor heating. The wood is easy to clean with just water and looks beautiful each day.

Our flooring the entire ground floor was fitted back in 2021 and honestly very disappointed. In the kitchen area flooring has lifted in patches and respectfully no shoes in the house so really just disappointed in this product spent a lot of money and now will have to redo the entire area again it started to happen instantly but only just adding my review now. UPDATE I have now sent an email as suggested with my feedback on this product.

You took over 16 hours to reply to my warranty email and still haven’t sent my warranty…

Fantastic service received from Isabel who went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Would highly recommend Woodpecker flooring.

Really bad packaging! The product is only small, but it came in a big box full of unrecyclable plastic filler packaging, which was completely unnecessary because the product isn't even fragile.

I wasn't sure about the proportions of cleaner and water to use on my oiled wood floor -- Isabel answered within a day and gave me good advice about what concentration for what level of dirtiness, and pointed me towards another useful product as well

I can’t select 0 or i would. I thought i was alone in the problems we have had, but no, it’s a consistent thread in many reviews. The interlocking is useless the edges peel away and the flooring itself bows so that it has gaps in the joins and breaks. The flooring is supposed to have built in underlay, but that does nothing that i can see. I have B&Q flooring that is a fraction of the price and is way better. Not fit for purpose, and if there are enough similar problems, it’s may be worth considering a class action legal case.

We had this flooring fitted in October 2023. It is absolutely the worst thing we have ever purchased. It is not hard wearing and scratches so easily, even just by hoovering it. The planks are so thin, they constantly move from each other because the connections are so thin they just break. The top layer of the flooring is coming up on over 50% of the kitchen. It gets caught in the hoover, the mop catches it and you catch it with shoes or slippers. We have it installed both onto solid wood and screeded concrete the damage is the same throughout. Absolute waste of money. I now need to cover it with rugs and mats as it looks absolutely terrible.
