Map boxed Talisker at the Whisky Auction house.
Online prompt valuation. A seamless experience from pickup by dedicated courier, to receiving my bottle at Whisky Auction. Confirmation and being assigned a Lot No. So that I could check the bidding once the auction had commenced As this was my first experience selling my whisky, it was great to watch the bids and on closure of the auction to see my whisky sold, past my reserve price. Great communication from the auction house regarding queries. I would recommend using this auction house to buy/sell your spirits.

I like the format of the auction…
I like the format of the auction website, priced from high to low. Also, that other spirits and drinks are offered and not just whiskies. And that you are informed instantly if you are winning or have been outbid. Also, that the bottles get sent quickly and are well packed. My one wish is that I didn't get outbid so often, but that's no reflection on you.

Fees are way too high…
Fees are way too high… with the listing fees and the commission fees. My sales totalling £154.00 went through and I ended up with £85.50. Nearly 50% in fees!
I’ll probably not bother again in the future as there are others that do similar that charge less.
I’ve read your response and it’s still stupid. Fees are too high end of.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with the outcome. Your valuation request was conducted by our head valuator, who provided an estimation of what your lots were expected to achieve at auction. Upon reviewing your valuation, it appears that the final results were largely in line with this estimate. Our commission and fees are clearly detailed on our website under the Sellers Guide, allowing sellers to make informed decisions before listing their items.

the perfect service
unsure how best to maximise the value of my bottle of whisky, i contacted Whisky.Auction for advice.
from the outset, all communication was clear, concise, informative & friendly. the estimated value they initially gave me, based on their knowledge of the market & previous sales they had handled, was spot on as it turned out.
the site is easy to navigate & it was enjoyable to be able to watch the auction online in real time.
this team knows their stuff, but also know how to make their customers feel welcomed & informed.
thanks team!

Used this site for the first time and…
Used this site for the first time and was positively surprised about the entire process from A to Z, it went very smoothly. Also when sending a package from outside the United Kingdom. What I find particularly positive is that you are kept well informed - and the communication is good. You get a response within a few hours and the payments are actually made within a few days after the end of the auction. Seems to me like a reliable and honest site where the commission costs are also reasonable.
