Terrible company, really no support at all. I wasted money on hosting that I had to purchase from another company in the end. They seemed unable to fix a simple problem that prevented me from editing my wordpress site. Very long waits for any response, then support claimed my issue was resolved, when they did nothing. No response at all on the subject of a refund. Beware!!!

Sometimes technical issues are a bit more than an average person's expertise area -- I have always had great support from WHC (Sibername before as well). Thank you.

**Extremely Disappointing Support – Unacceptable for Business Hosting**

We have been using WHC (Web Hosting Canada) to host Cepidia, our school management platform, which serves thousands of users.

Unfortunately, our recent experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating.

WHC suddenly restricted our outgoing emails to just **5 emails per hour**, severely affecting our platform's ability to send essential communications and notifications.

We opened a support ticket **three days ago**, and despite the seriousness of the situation, we have received absolutely no response. We have also been unable to reach anyone who can help resolve the problem.

This is not a personal website or a small hobby project. We operate a production platform used by schools, teachers, parents, and students. Reliable email delivery and responsive technical support are essential to our operations.

**What is most unacceptable is not just the restriction itself, but the complete lack of communication and accountability.**

If there is a technical or security concern, we expect a clear explanation and an opportunity to resolve it — not an unexplained restriction followed by days of silence.

As a paying customer, I find this level of service completely unacceptable. A hosting company serving business customers should understand the consequences of leaving critical support requests unanswered for days.

**Based on this experience, I cannot recommend WHC for hosting business-critical applications.**

I hope WHC takes this complaint seriously, responds to our outstanding ticket, and provides an immediate explanation and resolution.

De façon soudaine notre site (dsn-ed.com) était hors service. Après un échange de vérification des DNS avec l'assistant IA, j'ai demandé à être mis en contact avec un agent disponible. En moins de 5minutes, l'agent (Yasmine) est revenu directement avec une solution (en suivant le fil de mes échanges avec l'assistant IA). J'ai apprécié cette réactivité car notre domaine a été bien synchronisé côté serveur, et tout est rentré dans l'ordre!

When I needed to migrate my site from another webhosting company, the WHC team was great. When the time came to discontinue my services because I no longer need a website, Amina was right there happy to assist. Highly recommend WHC.

Very professional - Gave me useful infos for backing up my website

The short version is that one of their tech people updated the PHP version of my Wordpress theme, and my live site went down. When I reached out, the next tech person created another problem that was beyond the scope of my experience. It was 16 days before they were able to solve the problem. Not acceptable for a business to have to deal with this.
They open “tickets” but there is always a delay - they say up front that they will be in touch within 2-4 hours, but from my experience, it was more like 10 hours or not at all. Occasionally I would wake up to someone having left a note on my ticket saying they tried me and I wasn’t available so they closed the ticket. If I still had a problem, reach out to them... another day lost. Beyond frustrating!
There is no one person that is accountable for the ticket, or the customer or the problem. I'm busy, and can’t wait until they get around to me while my business has no website and I am wasting time begging someone to pay attention to my problem. They depend heavily on the bots trying to help you, but that is not a solution when you need 5 minutes of a human's time.
I even tried to cancel to go back to Siteground (at a substantially higher fee as I unfortunately was persuaded by the “new user” promotion). But again, there is no one in the billing department to contact so there is no way to cancel and I had prepaid for the year.
I would never renew here - my patience was pushed beyond the limit. Worst customer service system I have ever encountered with any company ever!

I transferred 4 domains from Wix to WHC. Easy and fast. I needed some help and they answered my questions quickly.

They solved a complex problem that may or may not have been a problem in the service they provide - it could have been a Microsoft incompatibility.

I was very happy with my old hosting provider, but it was not wholly Canadian, something that has become increasingly important to me. I admit, I had a few moments of anxiety about moving to a new host. But WHC migrated my site, answered all my questions and got me up and running within a couple of hours. On top of that, my site seems to load faster now, so I am sitting over here in the corner grinning. I am on the Pro plan, which is a little cheaper than I was paying for the same service. I wholeheartedly recommend Web Hosting Canada.
