Son’s portrait
I recently purchased a custom portrait of my son for his 16th birthday, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the beginning, the company demonstrated exceptional professionalism and care. They took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, offering helpful suggestions while being attentive to every detail I provided.
The communication throughout the process was outstanding—they kept me updated on progress, promptly responded to my questions, and ensured I was satisfied with the design before finalising anything. It truly felt like a collaborative and thoughtful experience.
When the portrait arrived, I was absolutely blown away. The quality of the artwork exceeded my expectations—the likeness, the color, the finishing touches—all beautifully done. My son was thrilled with the gift, and it now holds a proud place in our home.
I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a meaningful, high-quality custom piece. Their effort, service, and craftsmanship made this a truly special purchase.

Portraits of my kids
About 25 years ago my wife had a colleague that was a artist sketch a drawing of our middle child. We decided it would be nice to purchase a sketch of all of our kids, so I searched the internet and selected whataportrait. Whataportrait did an amazing job in producing a sketch of our kids and produced images that are perfect. I am extremely happy with the art that was produced by whataportrait.

My art request followed the unexpected passing of our beautiful friend and dog - Tigi. Although the general theme didn't change, as a person with little art experience, the detail changed quite a few times. You guys were genuinely helpful, patient and extremely wonderful in guiding me though the numerous changes that culminated in what I believe is a perfect painting. Amazing experience. Great Customer Service
Initially after placing my order I received a suggestion from the company suggesting a different size for the artwork I was having done. This was to enhance the overall picture, and to avoid awkward cropping. After I received the package in the mail, which was sent from India, I found that the package was empty. One side of the tube was opened and the picture gone. I do not know if this was accidental, or if it could have been stolen somewhere in transit. I contacted the company right away. Within a day or two, they assured me that they were requesting an investigation with the USPS, and that the artwork was already being re-done. I was so hoping to have this by Christmas morning and would have if the artwork had been in the package when it arrived. We received it within a few weeks and while not on Christmas morning, my daughter absolutely loves the picture of her and her puppy. Customer service was very responsive, and did their very best to replace the missing artwork. They were Patient and kind on the telephone, and emails were sent to me regularly for updates. The customer service and the artwork itself, (which is a pencil/charcoal drawing) are outstanding! The bummer was that the artwork was missing initially, however, this was not the fault of Whataportrait. I did not realize that the artwork is commissioned outside of the United States. Again , they had an artist complete this a second time as quickly as possible after my phone call. I would definitely use this company again.

Brings Warmth to Decor
Whataportrait did an outstanding job turning our trip’s photo into a beautiful oil painting to compliment our interior home decor. Turning our personal photo into an oil painting brings warmth and meaning into our house decor. We plan to look through additional photos for oil painting candidates. There are plenty of paintings of the places we have visited, but Whataportrait captured the scene exactly as we saw it. Each time I look at the painting I am back on that boat in the warm sunshine watching the beautiful palm trees sway in the breeze.
