Wenzel's the Bakers Arvostelua 

Everytime I do a tgtg bag on a Sunday at borehamwood store what is 445 to 5 collection and it keeps getting changed to 345 to 4 and most people are working at that time so cant get it and need to cancel it.

I bought a ham and cheese toastie, which I asked to be toasted. When I sat down to eat it, one side was toasted, the other side still bread. I also expect the cheese inside to be at least slightly melted otherwise it's not exactly a ham and cheese toastie, but just a glorified ham and cheese sandwich. I don't expect to have to microwave it to melt the cheese, in turn making the bread soggy and no longer toasted. A waste of money in my eyes.

Hornchurch Wenzels. Outstanding. The ladies in here really deserve some applause for there customer service. I have never seen such a group of individuals that actually care for customers. Being able to chat to them is the best part of it, and the bacon roll. Although a bit heavy on the butter!! Haha! I always leave smiling and you just can’t get that anywhere anymore. Thanks ladies.

Wenzels Kentish Town, manger is very rude told me they kept our food in a hot cabinet for an hour no wonder my bacon is nearly always hard, plus today I received cold food. I will be going else where in future....

Why is it that Wenzels cash tills do Not show customer the totting up of charges? Is it so that customers are UNAWARE that the paper bag so kindly offered to assist them to carry their purchase was out of consideration? No, it will cost you 0.5p. As there are no visual signage ANYWHERE, together with non visual sums of till. Customers leave assuming that the bag was given as a consideration, somewhat misleading! Times that to every customer leaving unaware that they have been mislead.

For some time now, ever since Wenzel’s introduced its app, I have been having problems with the loyalty scheme. For several years I collected loyalty stamps on paper cards when buying bread and regularly redeemed them. Since the introduction of the app, however, the stamps have stopped being added to my account.
I have scanned the QR code in the shop and also scanned the QR code from my receipts. On several occasions the app has confirmed that the operation was successful, yet no loyalty stamps were actually credited to my account.
Today, I was told by one of the bakery employees that approximately three weeks ago Wenzel’s staff received an email informing them that purchases such as my £3.25 loaf of bread would no longer qualify for a stamp, as apparently customers are now required to spend a minimum of £3.50 to receive one stamp in the app (which in my case requires buying two loaves of bread).

If this is indeed the new policy, it raises some serious questions. Why was this change not clearly communicated to customers? Why does the app confirm that the QR scan was successful when no stamp is subsequently awarded? And why, when I contacted Wenzel’s by email to complain, was I not given any explanation whatsoever?
Instead, my complaint was effectively ignored. The person who replied to my email did not even have the basic courtesy to identify themselves or sign their name. Absolutely disgraceful customer service.

I have been buying Wenzel’s bread for years, so this is not a complaint from someone who has just walked into one of their shops yesterday. I have been a regular customer and have spent plenty of money with the company over the years.

And unfortunately, the loyalty scheme is not the only thing that has deteriorated. For the last 8–10 weeks, I have also noticed a significant decline in the quality of the bread dough. The loaves increasingly contain large, empty holes running through them. Large holes may be a sign of good quality and a desirable feature in cheese, but in bread, it is simply a sign of poor consistency and bad baking.
When you pay £3.25 for a small round loaf, you have every right to expect a decent and consistent product.
Taking money from customers while quietly making the loyalty scheme less rewarding, failing to communicate the changes properly, and then ignoring legitimate complaints is, in my opinion, a very poor and unacceptable way to treat any Wenzel's customers.

So, as of today, I am done with Wenzel’s. I will no longer be spending my money in their shops.
There are alternative bakeries offering bread at a similar price point, where customers don't have to worry about poorly bonded dough or large empty spaces inside the loaf.
Fortunately, I can spend a quiet weekend baking a few loaves at home. At least then I will know exactly what I am eating — and I won't have to chase a company for the loyalty stamps I was promised.
Very disappointing.

What a great service from Malina in edgware station wenzels,i am always hopeful she would be there every time i go to wenzels she has such a can do attitude and never too much to ask for anything, a great asset to wenzels.

All was good I thought. Was waiting for my wholemeal bacon roll. No one asked if I was ok. Then told it was the small bag..I ordered a few items do was aware of this. No other customer in shop. When I got home realised it was a white roll. I am type diabetic so furious couldn't go back no choice but to eat it. I clearly stated I want it in a wholemeal roll. Not assumed

I’m not usually one to leave reviews- however this is not the first time I have encountered this in this shop.on more than one occasion now I have overheard a male member of staff discussing a female member of staff here.on previous visits I would hear disclosure about her personal life or accusations that this female is a liar.once again today I overhead a conversation talking down on this female.its disgusting and unprofessional behaviour- I am unsure on whom the female is but I can confidently say all the girls who work here that I’ve encountered are fabulous workers; albeit the best this shop has.Its a shame really because I frequently visit with my wife and daughter however we will now be taking our business elsewhere as we refuse to support such a narcissistic environment.i hope this is looked into as I’ve heard phrases such as -I’ll make her life hell- and the language coming from these people’s mouths! Just wow!safe to say I did not make my purchase today and hearing this now on multiple occasions has left me disgusted.

I think Wenzels Waterlooville has been recruiting staff from McDonalds Waterlooville as nearly every delivery order is missing something. Today I ordered 4 meal deals and when delivered, 3 baguettes were missing plus a yummie. Its not rocket science to tick off items on the till receipt as you put them in the bag!

Had delivered wenzals vegan roll. Used to order on Uber eats a while back.
Decided to order and received 3 small vegan roll half the size of the original ones...another company that has introduced shrinkflation... Very disappointed

Rude staff at South Harrow too busy having conversations in there own language and ignoring customers

I had the misfortune to have a sausage roll at wenzels feltham. Stale bread roll and tasteless sausage for 3.25. I'd have been happier with a used pizza box out of the bin.

Been using Wenzels for many years but my visit to the Luton branch may have been my last.

Disinterested unhelpful staff seems the days of haven't got what you want on display we'll make one have long gone.

Bought two ham and cheese baguettes as part of the "premium" meal deal. Both were the driest toughest baguettes I had ever seen. There was almost zero spread on the inside, the ham didn't exactly look fresh and the cheese wasn't far off being some of that horrible processed stuff.

Harshal in the Wembley branch was amazing really lovely customer service and quick on the job. A true gem to the company.

I went to the store at parkstone poole sunday and a busy bank holiday , i would like to make a mention i belive he was a manager called matthew and what a pleasure he was , very good customer service and a lovely manner
the food was great too but sadly i had a sandwich made as a special request which was a cheese salad with onion , sadly i got to the park and it only had onion , obviously nt his fault as someone in the kitchen made it but still lovely bread , thank you matthew from me and another matt

I use to love Wenzel’s Jamaican Patties but recently they’ve changed the recipe and now it’s awful. Salty and just horrible tasting. Will not be purchasing anymore.
