Fabulous experience, paid out on the same day of books being delivered.

After hours of scanning items looking for enough items to sell, I submitted my trade and selected DPD as the courier to pick up my books.

DPD didn't show up and when I tracked the collection, they had stated that they came to my address but there was no parcel to collect! Basically because they couldn't be bothered to come to my flat.

I contacted We Buy Books and Hope told me that she could rearrange collection for two days time. I said I didn't think DPD would show up and I'd waste another day waiting in but she said the courier method could not be changed and I couldn't have a DPD drop-off label either.

The worst part was, she asked me if I wanted to cancel the trade and rescan my items, so I could select a new postage method. No way, as the books are likely to drop in price or no longer be accepted!

I asked her to log my complaint against DPD and I gave my collection number. I also gave feedback, stating that people should have the option to change courier if there's an issue; she didn't seem interested at all and didnt want to help.

I then called DPD to log my complaint directly.

I asked if I could have a label instead and drop the parcel off. He said that We Buy books could give me one. I told him that they refused.

He said they would call the London City depot to ask them to come back later to collect. I doubt they will though.

Overall my experience trying to sell my books has been difficult. No parcel collection and no option to change the courier option. Make sure you choose a foolproof method, otherwise you'll have wasted hours scanning stuff before finally finding enough to sell. Then after packaging it and waiting in all day, you still won't have sold your books.

A one star experience because this company is unhelpful and way too rigid - not interested in solving problems at all. They could have emailed me a DPD label or Evri label, so I could have dropped it off myself. Instead I was just told NO.

Having read though all of their one star reviews, this was probably a lucky escape, as it seems this company makes profit by devaluing the books to underpay the offers they make. I doubt I would receive the full payment, so I will take the books to the charity shop instead.

I'd previously used this company many times but if they can't treat traders with respect, then it's best not to bother with them.

Liked the opportunity to downsize and make a bit of cash. Didn't like the way your system chops and changes about what to buy. Also strongly recommended that you be more generous with your EVRI labels. The manager of the collection point rightly demurred at the weight of my 2 boxes. I could have done with a third label to ensure that the 15kg limit was not in question.

Relatively easy to use, but I was disappointed for the amount offered for the books, many of which makes it hardly worthwhile.

I've an extensive collection of books, Blu-Ray, dvd, cd and games to get rid of. Hardly any were accepted. Over 1000 items scanned so far and only 16 accepted for a pittance. Gave up scanning the rest. Waste of time and effort. The collection is going to local charity shops.

The process was smooth, a great way to make some money from unwanted books and customer service was helpful.

Outstanding! Quick process from scanning ISBN numbers to sending and receiving payment. And a phone number to call if any problems!!!!

Exceellent experience so far. Sent 4 boxes of books off this week via Royal Mail, which is convenient as the post office is just up the road for me to leave there.
Of all the nearly 100 books I sent only 3 were rejected which is fair enough, and the money is already in my Paypal account. Two more boxes are in transit, and I'm busy filling another one this weekend. Moving house this year so am delighted to have a way to shift lots of books very quickly and easily and gain some cash at the same time.
Only quibble is that prices offered are very low - just 10 or 20 pence in many cases for books that would have cost £15 or more originally. But the postage is paid by WBB and the process is swift and easy so will continue to shift those books I can bear to part with, and will charity-shop those that WBB does not want.
