Great Experience
As a contractor, I have had a really positive relationship with vivid. Firstly Josh Davies and in the past year or so James Lenehan, both have been great and consumate professionals, who clearly know their stuff . The most important thing I appreciate is that they don't ghost you and keep you regularly updated, whether it's for a potential opportunity or just for a general catch up. We have had a very positive experience working with VIVID and via the agency worker found to support us.
We have been lucky to find a very capable agency worker via VIVID who has been very committed to supporting our plans locally in an excellent way. This has made the whole experience really positive. We have had limited need for ongoing support from the Vivid contact but when this has occurred it has also been super helpful. The payment of invoices has worked well and the signing off of timesheets and expenses on a weekly has been easy to navigate.

Invoice remains unpaid over 4 months…
Invoice remains unpaid over 3 months after completion of work,
despite submitted timesheet, invoice, and multiple follow-ups.
The engagement was managed through Vivid as sole representative
with the client, however the matter remains unresolved and payment
is still outstanding.
The case is now formally escalated and awaiting resolution.

I would like to clarify that my decision to leave the assignment during the first week was not simply a personal decision, but the result of serious professional, safety and workplace concerns.
I was engaged as an HSE professional to support compliance and help the client meet the standards required by a major organisation. However, I quickly became concerned that my role was being treated as a compliance formality rather than a genuine HSE function.
During the assignment, I was expected to complete written assessments on behalf of workers rather than independently verifying their competence and understanding. As an HSE professional, I could not support practices that undermine the integrity of training, competence assessment and compliance processes.
In addition, one worker repeatedly displayed disrespectful and confrontational behaviour towards me. Instead of addressing these behavioural concerns, management appeared more focused on holding me responsible for delays caused by workers who were not completing their own requirements and assessments in a timely manner.
The combination of poor governance, lack of effective management support, pressure relating to compliance processes, and exposure to aggressive behaviour created an environment in which I no longer had confidence that my concerns were being taken seriously.
I raised these issues and sought reassurance from both the client and Vivid Resourcing. Unfortunately, neither party provided sufficient assurance that the concerns would be addressed appropriately or that I would be protected while carrying out my professional responsibilities.
As a health and safety professional, my duty is not simply to help organisations satisfy client requirements on paper. My duty is to promote safe systems of work, integrity in competence assessment, and a respectful working environment. When these principles are compromised, I have a professional obligation to raise concerns and act accordingly.
Therefore, the matter is not only about the outstanding payment. It is also about the lack of support provided when legitimate health, safety, governance and workplace behaviour concerns were raised.
I completed work in good faith, submitted all required documentation, and I continue to expect payment for the work already performed. I remain willing to resolve the matter professionally, but it is important that the circumstances surrounding my departure are accurately represented.
