Terrible customer service . Sellers allowed to advertise faulty goods and then the buyer is punished having to pay for shipping and the pay to return and none of that is refunded. I've no idea what buyers protection is for but avoid . It's a joke

Vinted are not interested in protecting the buyers, FACT. I bought a Lancôme serum for €52 and turned out to a complete dud. Seller would not reply and Vinted did absolutely nothing. Said SHE did not break any rules. Her online name is LUCIEDLT2. Shame on you VINTED

Vinted is the Wild West of online peer to peer selling.
Zero customer service support from online scams.
Offer accepted, but then the seller wants a lower price!
Seller then claims that the item has since been sold on another platform.
Vinted seem okay with this.

I am extremely disappointed that my account has been banned for allegedly selling counterfeit items when they are, in fact, 100 percent authentic\. I had heard many positive things about the platform, but sadly that has not been my experience at all.

Vinted's Buyer Protection scheme is completely broken, and pointless, and their customer service is non-existent.

I bought an item on vinted.ie, and the seller sent a counterfeit product after explicitly claiming it was authentic.

I immediately disputed this on the platform on the day of delivery (within an hour of receiving them), uploading extensive photographic evidence proving the items were fakes.

Vinted support took over two weeks to respond to my initial tickets. Due to the delay on their part, their automated system timed out, closed the case, and erroneously released my funds to the seller.

Vinted then demanded that I physically send the counterfeit goods back through the post to get a refund.

Forcing a consumer to transport and send counterfeit contraband through the national post network directly violates Irish and EU anti-counterfeiting regulations.

Vinted's own terms explicitly state that buyers do not have to return confirmed counterfeit items.

Vinted breached their paid contract by withholding my refund unless I participated in sending counterfeit goods through the post, ignored my legal escalations from July 20th, and left the seller's account active.

Adding to the negligence on their part, Vinted actively misled my bank during the chargeback process by falsely claiming that no terms or internal policies were broken in this case.

A formal cross-border complaint has now been submitted to the European Consumer Centre (ECC).

Deres køberbeskyttelse er bluf. Jeg modtog en kgl porcelæn skål som var itu. Jeg reklamerede straks korrekt og sendte billeder og de sagde tak og ville vende tilbage inden 48 timer og jeg skulle ikke foretage mig noget. Nu siger de bare at når der er gået 2 dage har sælgeren fået sine penge og så er det for sent. Bare frustrerende for mig siger de.

Horrific customer service. I have sent an item, buyer has confirmed they’ve received it a week ago but I can’t access my funds. AFTER I sent my item, I was asked to verify myself again which I have tried to do 13 times. My surname contains an apostrophe which I try to enter on Vinteds verification site as this is what exactly matches my ID but I continue to get an error to say my last name is invalid. When I try to proceed without the apostrophe, my verification fails as it does not match my ID. I’ve wrote to customer service and their legal team with at least 40 messages back and forth over 9 days but no resolution whatsoever. My messages aren’t even read by Vinted customer service and I continue to receive the same generic sorry to hear this, please try again message from them and I’m stuck in a constant cycle. So now I’m left without a dress I liked and without the money for it also!! Which Vinted will profit from. Hurrendous process! Will be cancelling the items that I’m due to send and back to Depop.

I have found Vinted very good overall, but I am sick of Irish sellers sending clothing that are stained. And yes, it is predominantly Irish sellers. The French are meticulous with their clothing.

Really unimpressed that we can no longer delete messages from completed sales. It's making everything very difficult to manage as new sales are getting lost in the message list

A bunch of clowns are running the Vinted website !!! It’s actually comical.
I put a bag up for sale which was removed because it was flagged as fake.
I appealed this decision with proof of purchase .
The Bag was relisted and sold within an hour. Buyer was delighted with it.
Nearly a week later they mail me to say they wouldn’t relist the bag as they still thought it was fake. Like what kind of idiots have we here.

Mijn pakket is zoek geraakt door het te deponeren in een vinted-go automaat. Er was onmiddellijk een foutmelding toen mijn pakketje in de locker zat en ik het er niet meer uit kon halen. Hierdoor geen afgiftebewijs gekregen en daar het een zaterdag was ook niet onmiddellijk iemand vastgekregen op de hulplijn. Hierna verschillende berichten gestuurd met vinted zelf maar er werd geen enkele oplossing geboden, laat staan dat ze het onderzocht hebben. Hierdoor mijn pakket kwijt én ook mijn geld hiervoor. Er stond ergens dat ze bij verlies het bedrag uitbetalen maar daar hebben ze nooit over gesproken. Ik ben hier niet over te spreken. En wat je ook allemaal moet doen eer je iemand vast krijgt en voor ze antwoorden. Onbetrouwbaar !

Vinted doesn’t remove counterfeit products even with several complaints with proof of fake products.

It's a scammer hub. How can it be that a website selling so many items is not able to send / deliver them? After selecting the item you want to buy, there is no delivery option to any address provided by you....

Don't be fooled by Vinted’s so-called "Buyer Protection" fee. It is nothing more than a cash grab to protect dishonest sellers while squeezing money out of cheated buyers.
​When a seller intentionally conceals damage and lies in the description, Vinted forces the buyer to pay for return shipping out of pocket. Vinted actively colludes with these bad actors—ensuring the seller gets away with fraud while Vinted collects its fake "protection" fee. This isn’t buyer protection; it’s seller protection funded by the victim. Their entire system rewards dishonesty and penalizes honest buyers. Absolute fraud!

Useless customer support. Literally they do nothing but messaging to wait 48h, 72h, 48h etc etc. Be careful buying fragile items - if they come broken or damaged, forget about getting a refund.

Not sure if Vinted is having liquidity issues, but myself and a seller are waiting nearly 3 weeks for them to solve a simple issue around a damaged delivery. No communication, except automated responses, and a message "We are having problems with refunds". Not a good sign!

Hello, my name is Sean. I joined Vinted from my wife's link but my account got automatically blocked while I was listing the items for sale. I immediately started appeal and my wife can see me as an active account but I remain blocked and I didn't received a single reply for my appeal which I started on the 15th of July. It has been tiring and daunting to receive no suppprt from this new to me platform. It is like there is no customer support or no will to support at all. It is very dissapointing as my wife was quite positive about Vinted. Now it is pretty dissapointing.

Ik ben klaar met de manier waarop Vinted deze zaak heeft afgehandeld.

Al maanden vraag ik vrijwel dagelijks om één simpele actie: start een onderzoek bij DPD. In plaats van mij te helpen, hebben jullie ervoor gekozen om niets te doen. Mijn verzoeken zijn genegeerd, er is geen serieus onderzoek gestart en ondertussen hebben jullie zonder enig bewijs de verkoper uitbetaald.

Mijn pakket met trackingnummer 04013182295757 ter waarde van €1.200 is NOOIT bij mij aangekomen. Er is nooit een scan geweest waaruit blijkt dat het pakket bij een afhaalpunt is afgeleverd. Het afhaalpunt waar het volgens de informatie naartoe zou zijn gegaan bestaat inmiddels niet eens meer. Toch vonden jullie het blijkbaar verantwoord om mijn geld aan de verkoper over te maken.

Dat is onbegrijpelijk en volstrekt onacceptabel.

Door jullie handelen ben ik nu €1.200 kwijt, zonder pakket, zonder onderzoek en zonder enige vorm van hulp. Jullie laten een betalende koper volledig in de steek en weigeren verantwoordelijkheid te nemen voor een vermist pakket.

Ik eis dat Vinted mij onmiddellijk uitlegt:

* Op basis van welk bewijs de verkoper is uitbetaald.
* Waarom mijn herhaalde verzoeken om een onderzoek maandenlang zijn genegeerd.
* Waarom er geen enkel bewijs van aflevering aan mij bestaat.

Ik eis daarnaast onmiddellijke terugbetaling van mijn €1.200 of levering van mijn pakket.

Als jullie dit blijven weigeren, zal ik alle mogelijke juridische stappen ondernemen. Ik zal deze zaak voorleggen aan de bevoegde toezichthouders, consumentenorganisaties en, indien nodig, de rechter. Ik zal Vinted aansprakelijk stellen voor de volledige financiële schade die door jullie nalatigheid is ontstaan.

Jullie hebben mij maanden laten vechten voor een oplossing, terwijl ik simpelweg nooit mijn pakket heb ontvangen. Dat is onacceptabel. Ik laat deze zaak niet rusten totdat mijn geld is terugbetaald of mijn pakket is geleverd.

Ik verwacht per direct een inhoudelijke reactie. Standaardantwoorden accepteer ik niet meer.

When logged into my account it was some new account that did not belong to me and my own account hacked and could not get access. Must not be very secure. Have deleted account and will never go back on again. Beware from a security point of view.
