I purchased a quality used car at a good market price. Nothing came close to this model in terms of extras on the car in my area (south east London) so I purchased this from Hereford some 140 miles away.

A host of policies are on offer when buying, such a wheel and alloy cover and warranty coverage after the VW one runs out. Make sure you do your research on what you want before buying those policies including those on offer direct from VW rather than through third parties or affiliated with the garage. I had an issue with a policy but that was addressed after some back and forth (hence four out of five)

Very poor after sale service and labour costs are a joke use smaller garages for all your repairs cost me less than half what they wanted will never use them again

As a company we have leased a fleet of van from VW Hereford for around 6 year. When the dealership was run by South Hereford Garages we had no issues, since the dealership has been taken over by Vertu we have had nothing but problems. We have cancelled our new fleet of vans and are returning what we have back to them. Since being taken over by Vertu, customer service has gone out of the window, we will not be dealing with Vertu ever again.

I was somewhat shocked to read the reviews on here compared the actual customer experience that I received from Darren Broady. I was distance buying from East Sussex, I explained to Darren that this isn't my normal route but I knew I have to travel if I wanted the Amarok for me. Darren picked up straight away on my hesitation/concerns and made me feel at ease with the whole buying process (remotely) using the VW money back promise. When I collected the Amrok, once again, Darren's professionalism shone through unlike some of the rogue's Ive dealt with in this business...and there are a lot. You really won't go far wrong with this Hereford branch

Start/stop switch on my Tiguan doesn’t work always .Vertu Hereford can’t get one this has been going on for more than 3 months

Dealing with a salesman called Matthew Griffiths to buy a new Amarok. We had verbally agreed the purchase and the vehicle would be held for me until the following morning to enable me to confirm with my accountant the most tax efficient way to purchase the vehicle.
As promised I confirmed the method of purchase in the morning only to be told the vehicle had now been sold.
What is particularly disappointing; Matthew Griffiths’s manager (can’t recall his name) called me to confirm my intention to purchase the vehicle and during that call, he said he was satisfied that the vehicle could be held for me until the following morning.
I was not asked to put a deposit down (which I would have done to secure it), so it appears a verbal agreement with Vertu VW Hereford has no validity or integrity.

I called on Sunday and reserved the VW Tiguan. I stated I wanted to book an appointment for Friday and wanted to reserve the car till then. I was told that is fine and the car will be held till the end of my appointment at 3pm. So I paid a £99 reservation fee and asked once I made the reservation if I will receive an email confirmation and I was told yes but I failed to receive any confirmation of my reservation or appointment. I received a call from another lady the same day who said she will get a team member to meet me on Friday. I called on Monday to ask about my reservation and make arrangements to purchase the vehicle but only got through to the receptionist who said the sales team will be in touch later on but received no call!.
I call on Tuesday morning and get through to the sales team rep who agrees a time but fails to mention anything else regarding reservation and even failed to check what was previously discussed. I call again in the afternoon to speak to the sales rep but unable to get a hold of him causing further delays. When I am in the middle of my journey to the dealership, which was 3 hours away! I receive a call back from the sales rep stating the car I had reserved can no longer be purchased by me as my reservation ran out and someone else has it booked!!!! I received no email or text notification to firstly specify the reservation information yet the payment from my account was taken and secondly no messages to specify expiration time and on top of that the sales rep did not mention anything until it was all too late, which is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I agreed well in advance with the rep to purchase the car and called the 2nd time to ask about purchasing online and getting it delivered but by the time the sales rep called me back a whole hour later the car had been reserved by someone else. I spoke to the manager who failed to recognise any misinformation and lack of communication as an issue and simply said thats how the system is setup but funny how the system took my reservation fee instantly and yet the system failed to send me an email of the details or expiration time!!!!, which the manager confirmed was the case as nothing was sent by the great system.
To think I was going to purchase from this place using my hard earned cash is mind blowing and glad now I can see the real customer service provided by this dealership who state this "Our Mission Statement is:
To deliver an outstanding customer motoring experience through honesty and trust"
The dealership wasted my time and provided an absolutely poor service. For anyone looking to buy just be prepared to get shafted if anything in the future goes wrong as they are not interested in resolving the issue and prefer to provide appalling customer service.

What an awful unprofessional company, I am a second owner of a VW Caddy, the vehicle is only 3 months old and had 4000 mile on the clock it was sold with a VW Accessory a Towbar, it was invoiced as a VW part, on the original Sale Document, however VW Vertu Hereford decided not to install a genuine one and supplied an after marker Towbar using Audi Cabling and incorrect programming, VW Vertu did not tell the original owner they had switched Towbars, this caused the Vehicle to breakdown, 5 weeks of car hire and a bill of circa £1800.00 to fix. After prooving their error, they do not wish to assist, final email from Robert Foresster CEO "from this point on we will not respond to any further correspondence except via your lawyers". Big boy Bully Tactics, have no alternative but reported to Trading Standards, Motor Ombudsman and National Press together with BBC and Watchdog. "There has been a criminal breach in regard to the towbar being mis-sold as a genuine part" and Statutory rights states "any goods supplied should be of a satisfactory quality, last a reasonable amount of time and be free from faults". Cannot believe they wish all this bad press for £1800.00

This company has VW in Hereford, totally untrustworthy and ridiculous
Sold someone a caddy van with a genuine vw tow bar as an extra, according to the sales invoice, they outsourced the work and then denied all responsibility once it was proven it was wrong, the company won’t answer emails, when eventually they do they threaten and lie, the 2 names above are 2 main players there and they are both scoundrels
Sent a report to rogue traders and media

Poor communication although sincere apologies it’s not good enough

Very disappointed. First time bought used car online and never again.
By salesman words car in “immaculate” condition for 2019 reg.

But received car with paint issues, all left side of vehicle was repaired, respray with defects.From bumper to bumper including door sills. Left wing not genuine ,Front bumper was in horrible condition (sand, bubbles, lacquer overlay and fixing bracket was broken what caused not straight gaps between panels. Rear bumper got some deep scratches too.

Dealership accepted to partially repaint front bumper at the local bodyshop , very appreciated for that but after all actions car requires lane assist calibration which are cost 300£ from my pocket.

Also car had negative wheels alignment at the left side, steering wheel was tilted on left. Another 90£ from my pocket.

Door ambients light not working too.

Managers said that car was signed by high standard approved cars department. But this is not level of quality what I was expecting from official VW dealership.
