Very bad experience with Urban…

Very bad experience with Urban clap.Rahul Mohale TV technician was assigned for my Sanyo TV repair work.Once he delivered TV immediately he asked for service charges of Rs 5000 which i paid.After 10 mints i observed coloured dots on TV screen .He checked and mentioned these are dust particles which i will fix but need to take TV to service station which I agreed. After couple of hours he called and mentioned these was originally there and could not be fixed and started behaving unprofessionaly. I tried to search for UC customer support no luck finally got connected by chat but were not helpfull. I am frustrated now my TV along with money is taken.Not sure who can help here this is big question ?

Unethical and unresponsive

This review is not about a specific service but about my interaction with the company staff. On one of my cleaning jobs, the person assigned damaged a few mirrors and glasses in my apartment. While UC has a policy to reimburse customers for such damage, it has been an absolute nightmare to get their escalation team to respond and move forward. We have had multiple calls (5+ by my count) and yet I have no idea how I am supposed to get my refund. They don't stick to their deadlines and they don't have a number to call so you are left in the hands of their very poor customer servive. I have about INR 30K+ of damages but due to "company policy" they are only going to reimburse me for INR 10K. All my conversations have shown that this company has been extremely unethical and immensely stingy to the point I believe they may have violated consumer protection laws (I am looking into it).

Do you know the worst part? They make the struggling people who do the job pay 50% of all damages EVEN THOUGH they have insurance! These are low-income struggling hardworkers who make mistakes and yet have to give money out of their pocket to a company swimming in crores. I find it absolutely horrfying for a company to stoop so low. I look forward to the the day the headlines talk about their bankruptcy -- no company this unethical can or will survive.

Broke my new RO and no compensation

They don't provide any resolution to mistake done by their guys. Trying to fool customer su regards they can't get insurance claim which is shown and boasted by company in online payments. It's all scam , they are not even ready to talk about insurance claims

Horrible service

Horrible service, they dnt have customer service number neither they have contact number to complaint about their workers. I booked a deep house premium cleaning. The man came 15 late I couldnt get his contact num er becaus ehusband booked it from abroad for me. He then inspected the house, spoke to soneone delayed time for more 20 mins and said job is delayed by 40 mins hence i will be charged you cancel this job and hire me separately for 4500rs. I dint accept it. He moved out of the house with hsi workers dint even say he left. Left the lights on and went away rudest behaviour. Mr sridhar was horrible lerson to deal with. My work which i took this day off totally wad cancelled. Please dnt truat this urban clap they are not taking care of customers. Horrible experience

Untrained and unprofessional

Booked a Premium Home cleaning service with UC on 14 Oct 2022. They sent a totally untrained and unprofessional staff. They left most of the work unfinished. They had bellicose attitude and talked arrogantly as if doing some great favour to us ... They charged Rs.5298, but the work done was not even worth Rs. 500. They did not bring floor cleaning machine, broom... Used the same dirty towel to shabbily clean floor and furnitures. UC charges 299 extra from us for training their professionals. Do not understand what they train? Train to harass customers???
2 people had come to clean. Only one person was doing work while the other was lecturing us and pontificating...

₹10k+ ‘Platinum Cleaning’ disaster

I had a disastrous experience with Urban Company (UC, formerly Urban Clap). I booked them for the Platinum Cleaning Package for a furnished 4 BHK apartment. Per UC’s web site and app, it includes all of the features of the Premium package, plus wet vacuuming of upholstery, among other things. The experience was quite challenging from the beginning, although the staff with whom I interacted were polite:
- UC was incommunicado between my booking and service time, a period of four days;
- The team was two hours late;
- The team was inadequate, too young, and poorly equipped;
- Their idea of the cleaning contract was different from the UC web site and app;
- The team requested cancellation. My refund from UC fell short of the amount I had paid.

Here are the details:
1. I attempted to book UC’s service in October 2022. In my first attempt to book cash-on-delivery, the required up front payment of ₹1,000/- was successfully deducted from my bank account, but not credited to my UC service. It was eventually refunded, but I was asked to rebook using a payment method different from Net Banking.
2. When I rebooked, the payment options required full up front payment, in excess of ₹10,000/- which I made.
3. The service date was four days after the booking date. Yet, there was no contact on my mobile, email, or app until 45 minutes before the service time, on the service date.
4. Also, during this period, there was no way for me to contact UC via email, app, or telephone.
5. The service was picked up by Prabhas Mukhiya, a team leader. I called him up immediately to ascertain whether the team would be on time, given that the scheduled time was only 45 minutes away. He initially assured me that they would. I had a total of 6 telephone calls with him. During that time, he indicated that he was in touch with the team, and that they would be no more than 30-45 minutes late.
6. It turns out that he did not really communicate with them during this period, as he acknowledged.
7. Eventually, at one hour and 45 minutes after the scheduled time, he promised that the team would be there in 10 minutes. And they were. The team was nearly two hours late.
8. There were only three of them, although the web site indicates 6-8 professionals. They had only a dry vacuum, and no wet vacuum as required in the Platinum service.
9. They were very young boys, ranging in age from about 13 to about 20.
10. The eldest among them, Deepak Mukhiya, a cousin of the team leader, said that he could arrange for a wet vacuum, but only five seats could be wet-vacuumed. For seats beyond the first five, I would be charged extra. There is no such specification on UC’s web site or app.
11. I showed them the 4 BHK apartment, and they agreed that the three of them were insufficient to do the job within the promised 8 hours. The eldest among them began calling other teams. His calls would either not be picked up, or he would be put on hold. Eventually, he requested that I cancel the service.
12. I did so, but did not receive a full refund. It was short ₹299/-, which happens to be the annual price of ‘Plus’ membership. I have requested a refund of this amount, but have not received it.
13. I posted multiple feedback items on UC’s web site about my experience, including my request for refund of ₹299/-. There was no response. Eventually, I posted the observations up to Item #12 above. Within half an hour, I received a call from UC’s representative, Mr. Gaurav.
14. I re-outlined my bad experience, and requested the remaining refund of ₹299/-.
* Mr. Gaurav initially said that no refund is possible.
* I pointed out that the web site and app does provide for refund.
* Then Mr. Gaurav changed his position, and said that the only refund is of the whole amount, at the end of a year, provided the service is not used at all.
* I pointed out that the web site and app does provide for partial refund, of excess of membership fee over total discounts availed. For example, if total discount of ₹200/- is availed through the year, then remaining ₹99/- is refunded at year end.
* Then Mr. Gaurav changed his position again, and acknowledged that a partial refund is possible. At this point, he spoke with his senior, and returned with an offer to refund ₹150/-, while keeping my membership open. He said he could not refund the remaining ₹149/-.
* Unfortunately, the refund cannot be made in the same way as the original refund, into my Amazon Pay balance. It can only be done via UPI or Net Banking. I do not use UPI. For Net Banking, I have to provide my NEFT details.
* I indicated to Mr. Gaurav that this partial refund did not address my need, as I desired a full refund with a full cancellation of Plus membership.

I had a terrible experience with UC

I had a terrible experience with UC.

1. The staff had to be specifically instructed where to clean; there were spots which they easily missed.

2. I had clearly communicated that I will do payment online. However, they never sent the link to make online payment and insisted on cash payment. It was late evening and I requested to make the payment on the next day, but they simply did not oblige.

3. The Pune branch did not try to fix the issue. Instead they shared the customer care number with me and asked me to call customer care to find a solution.

4. The scary part was the staff refused to leave my house, until the payment was done. This is sheer hooliganism.

The founders of UC have formulated their first principle of Customer love: Build a platform that offers truly delightful and differentiated services.

I am sorry to say that I never got to experience this.

After payment there is no receipt/invoice shared with me. I will escalate the matter and will be getting complete refund of my paid amount.

I have servicing my front load ifb…

I have servicing my front load ifb washing machine through urban clap. In the day one they mentioned having issue with motherboard and they ask me to pay 3k. I paid and after 3 days he fixed it after fixing the issue new problems started like on and half button was not working properly. He took it again and repaired fix the part it took around 15 days. Now warranty got expired and currently when we start machine getting electric shock. My sincere advise is very worst service.

Very worst service by urban clap. I booked spa service for 1 hr 40 minutes but only 1 hr service has been provided. The staff was too dirty and stinging smell. Not punctual very very late. Don't go on advertisement, waste of your time ,money and energy.

This is the worst service I’ve ever had. The clear either stole my items or threw out 2 of my products that were not placed to be thrown and they’re are worth 100$+.

I had booked for my convection mode…

I had booked for my convection mode microwave which was in excellent condition but little noisy, the Urban company guy appeared to be a local technician who did not know the ABC of handling the microwave, it was a small noise issue, but every 10 mins he was going out and bringing new parts and replacing the microwave never got heated inspite of so many replacements, this fellow was out of his wits, in the end he closed off the microwave and went away, the customer care is worst. Thus my good working microwave was reduced to useless. Must sue this fraud Urban company in Consumer court.

Never use Urban company . Not worthy.

I bought membership and ac repair service from urban company. Company app told me there is discout for members on every service so I bought membership and booked ac repair for leakage. 4 star rating technician come to see leakage in ac. After inspection he did some cleaning and told me it will cost 4000 to 5000 for leakage problem. I refused to got repair. And ask him for charges he charged fees plus gst but that was not mentioned in app.and there is also mentioned that mechanic will clean site after repair or inspection but mechanic dont clean place messed up by him. I called customer care of uc but they don't accept and not resolve my problem.After that I searched you tube and got a video to check and repair leakage. I followed that video and spend around 1 hour and to my surprise it worked i fixed leakage problem without spending a penny. And uc vendor with four star rating asking for 4-5 thousands for simple job Or they may do harm to my ac for money.
I willl never recommend this urban company to any one

Extremely pathetic

Extremely pathetic. I had booked 2* intense bathroom cleaning. Their videos showed a level of professionalism and the situation seemed like an expectation vs reality meme. My mom was taking care of the house and despite repeated requests to do the service properly the service so shi**y, he used our bottle of harpic and our items to do the basic cleaning of the bathroom which didn't need the money I paid. After I returned which was past their stupid warranty period which doesn't make sense to me at this point, they simply denied everything. Bull s*it! I left a review feedback on the day after that was done coz my mom was upset and she didn't know how to raise the issue. Disgusting customer service.. disgusting services... Disgusting app with no professionals that they so proudly claim to be having. Money hungry shi**y cheap people and services.

Very poor 3x bathroom cleaning Service by Uran Company professional

I have booked the Urban Company 3x move-in-bathroom(4 Hours intense cleaning) cleaning service at Begumpet Hyderabad, through UC App online and made payment online. The Booking was for thursday 10am,20th july 2020, and the UC professional made an excuse that the flat owner is not available when i was waiting at my home, after waiting for a while i called up the urban company customer care and spoke to Mr. Raj kumar and lodged a compalint bearing No"UC0429B7638". Subsequently the UC professional arrived at 11.30am and did the poor cleaning in 3 newly built bathrooms in an hour and left by 12.50. After a while when i checked the bathrooms, the bathroom was still unclean,wall tiles were not cleaned at, there was dust and leftover grout still on the walls and floors. I had to claim the warranty which is for four days from the date of service, and on 22nd july 2022, i received a call from UC case attendee regarding my complaint which could not be resolved as i asked them to send someone who is good and experienced in cleaning services, instead the executive said due to the UC policy the same professional would be sent or a 30% refund out of my total online payment made to them to which i did not agree. Subsequently another complaint wad lodged by me beating No"UC048B14082" dated 21-07-2022. It is completely money and time wasting scheme by Urban Company. The Urban Company do not value the time and money of consumers. This was my First time that i booked from Urban Company Services. I will never recommend anybody else to opt for pathetic UC Cleaning Services, NEVER GOING TO MAKE ANY URBAN COMPANY SERVICES AGAIN AND I ALSO SUGGEST OTHERS ALDO TO HIRE LOCAL PROFESSIONAL TO DO THE JOB, I REQUEST OTHERS TO PLEASE VERIFY AND REVIEW BEFORE GOING WITH URBAN COMPANY SERVICES, PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS MONEY AND TIME ON URBAN COMPANY SERVICES,🙏

Today I booked washing machine drainage issue an appointment from UC…

Today I booked an appointment from UC to fix my washing machine drainage issue, after seeing machine UC person told that part has to be replaced its not working after that he replaced the part to fix the issue.
After parts replacement machine suppose to drain out water in one time instead now it's happening in multiple slots each slot is for 1 secs and again and again it will start and stop to drain out water, it's keep going on. Basically instead of fixing problem UC eng introduced newer problem.
I'm trying to reach out to UC customer care see to complaint my register but their customer support system is very poor no one is there to take a call no one is there to chat and I am keep trying pass 3,4 hours.
I would suggest never go for UC better to contact some local vendor or the authorised person to fix your equipment UC services are totally a waste of money and waste of time
