Another mammut that will soon be extinct
I wish i had read trustpilot before placing an order, this might be one of the worst rated companies ive ever used lol. So about Mammut, well what a completely unnecessary display of monumental incompetence and disgraceful customer service. This dire excuse of a company sent my items using GLS and DHL 2 sets of initials that will forever put me off buying from any company that displays them and you should avoid them too. Mammut told me that their shipping had 'accidentally sent my items to spain' instead of the UK (apparently) before returning them back to mammut, mammut also stated that an immediate refund would be made, but days after and no such refund has been made, I asked them to let me know by email once they had made the refund. They then sent another email reply stating they will now only make a refund once they have the items back. Now I understand this is the process on a regular returns policy but when they have shipped the stuff to the wrong country themselves and their shipping agent has already returned the stuff according to mammut, what are these 'people' doing other than adding fuel to their own fire? What are they trying to gain by forcing me to wait until they have concluded their own farce before returning my payment. This is entirely of their own making and it will be interesting to watch this company spiral down the proverbial plughole over the coming months and years.This is definitely a company to avoid, a filthy skidmark of a company you should avoid displaying on your gear. Interesting they decided on using an extinct animal to represent them as they are sure to go the same way eventually. Perhaps sacking the entire UK staff would be a good start and delay the inevitable extinction.
I sent my Mammut Barryvox S2 back as…
I sent my Mammut Barryvox S2 back as part of the recall on the 12th November, when I tracked it on Royal Mail it said it is at Preston MC on the 14th November, no further details, today being the 21st November, Mammut promised a 7 day turnaround, either fix the fault or issue a new one. I contacted Mammut Customer Service today by online chat and they said to contact Royal Mail there is nothing they can do, even when I suggested that they should contact Mammut UK to see if they had received my S2. Really really unhelpful.
Update 21 Nov at 151, Royal Mail not helpful either, i can submit a claim on the 22nd if hasn't been delivered. I can't find a contact number for D&B Comer Ltd in Burnley where the returns had to go to.
UPDATE 29 Nov 24. I have received a replacement S2 from Mammut today in the post, which is great. Which I take it to mean that my old one was received by them - 'all's well that ends well'.
Shocking customer service for…
Shocking customer service for UK01515845. I returned the order using their postage. It was lost in transit, but marked as delivered to them. They said they couldn't refund me. They had to do an investigation, then they found it, then they said it would take 3 days to review the items. I've had to wait nearly a month for a near £700 refund. I've spent thousands with them, wont be spending anymore.
Terrible returns - don't buy from them
I bought some boots from Mammut - they were too tight in the toe box so returned them. Heard nothing for a while so contacted support and they opened an investigation. Then the boots turn back up on my door step saying they can't accept returns for fit issues if they've been worn outside - they have not.
Not impressed at all with this company.
Waterproof Walking Shoes Leak
"Waterproof" walking shoes leaked soon after I got them. I was told to post them for repair at my own expense. Customer Service is bad beyond words. I wanted a refund. I was sent a replacement pair of shoes that were values at £100 less that the RRP of the shows I bought.
Poor quality
Hi, I've bought nearly £200 waterproof walking boots. After 2 months glue around sole in various places started coming off. Customer service if it exist takes its time to answer emails around 3 weeks so far to resolve the matter. I use boots to walk dogs on daily basis but obviously they couldn't care less.
Their response after 3 weeks was, sent them to our repair point maybe you'll get them back in about 2 to 3 weeks and I have to pay for postage.
If I'd spend £50 on boots I'd get the shocking warranty experience and sub standards but no for nearly £200

Boots are rubbiish. 185 pounds and leak after 3 months. customer services are terrible. Passed from pillar to post. NO refund. customer service does not exist in this company

Mammut, are you a SCAM company?. I have sent back my backpack, which got broken after 2 weeks of use, for repair (REP1157774). It has been with you for 2 months. Now you tell me that it has been lost by the post, hence it's my responsibility. I am asking for a full refund. Now I must go to the European Customer Protection Court. What a huge pain you are causing me. Big shame on you Mammut. You don't deserve to be called a brand.
Not Fit for Purpose Customer Service
You would expect a Premium mountain jacket ( NOT fashion item ) for hiking would provide the best of protection against the elements, and provide suitable longevity ( looking at the price paid ).
But alas NO, after only 2 years and only 4 major hiking outings, and the membrane is delaminating.
The Jacket wrinkles when wet , leaks and is not fit for purpose ( which is surprise when you pay premium prices ).
Trying to contact “Customer Services” is like trying to discover the meaning if life - Impossible Dead-ends, platitudes from the occasional response from Social Media portals ( which are never followed up , and not checked regularly).
You would think that a Swiss company that outsources manufacturing to Bangladesh would have something to hide!?

The worst customer service ever!
The worst customer service ever!! My original order never arrived and no update on the tracking. On contacting customer services I was told they would investigate and I would have to reorder. Six weeks on and several calls and emails I am still waiting for my refund. I have received an email to thank me for my return (I never received the order in the first place!) and my refund would be processed in 3 days. Still waiting. I have never dealt with such a rubbish uncaring company who’s customer service department need a lot of help and training. I will definitely not order from them again despite loving their walking shoes!
Shocking customer service
I have had a pair of Mammut boots now for roughly 6-8 months. Have worn them for brisk walks 4/5 times. One of the metal say clasps with which the laces are held have come away.
I have then contacted Mammut only for them to tell me to send my complaint to a different email which I have done. 2 months later, still nothing heard from them. Shocking customer service, the boots are not cheap. I would avoid and buy yourself a pair of footwear from another brand which has good customer support.
Well what a surprise, POOR customer service.
Firstly there are several Mammut listings on Trustpilot, but all with terrible customer service. They also share the same zero response from Mammut as well. It's as if as we have mostly already found fellow reviewers Mammut just doesn't care, so why bother responding here on Trustpilot? Even the most fly by night companies at least try and churn out some sort of generic drivel, to at least show they take "customer service" really seriously.
So a minor issue that I thought was a really easy fix. One month old shoes, one shoe lace starting to fail. Simple fill in form online, a form with added photo that provided ALL the necessary information needed.
No, you then have to fill out an arduous emailed extra form. All your details again, photo again shoe lace, photo of shoe label, product code (it's the only item in the order and hello I've photographed it, why do I have to write it all out again) Repair options? NO!!!! just send me a pair of laces. A costing pdf? How much am I will to pay for a repair? It goes on and on. You need to tell us everything the bot Rebecca keeps on telling me. WHY, just send me a pair of shoe laces. Undeterred by me leaving a one star review for the shoes on their website (the shoes themselves are really very good, although being one month old and reading other reviews maybe that will change). The other thing is I've been looking at another pair of boots from Mammut. Mmmm might have to have a rethink on those boots. All because you are quibbling over a form filling exercise over a pair of shoe laces.
Appalling customer service
In January 2023, I purchased a pair of Brecon GTX III walking boots that came with a 2-year warranty. A year later and the soles of both boots had worn excessively to the point the outer layer had been scrubbed away. I contacted customer services by email and sent pictures of the problem. A few day later, I received and email stating the issue had been forwarded to Mammut returns dept. Hearing nothing for over a month, I again got in contact with customer services who said they would chase up with the returns dept. Again, nothing was heard for over a week. I had to chase it up again and was asked to again send photos and fill in a form. This duly done, I sent it off. Again, no reply in a timely manner. I contacted a third time and to be fair this time I got a response from the returns dept.
It turns out that if you want to claim under the warranty, you have to pay yourself for the boots to be shipped to Germany. On receipt, they will check them and decide if they are going to honour the claim. I have yet to find out from them what happens if they don't honour the claim. Do I get charged to return the boots or do I have to pay for a repair?
I'm pretty sure Mammut skirt around UK law when it comes to faulty goods.
I won't be buying from them again and I would urge others to think before committing.
Beware if ordering online
Ordered 2 pairs of boots online via their UK site as I wasn't sure exactly what sole stiffness to go for. Both pairs arrived quickly, I decided on the ones for me and returned the other pair via the Mammut returns service. Royal Mail collected the return from me and I had an email as proof of collection. RM tracking confirmed the item had been delivered back to Mammut a couple of days later but I'd not recieved anything from Mammut.
I contacted them to chase the refund, my experience with their customer services means I will not purchase via their website again. Despite the tracking confirmation, was told Mammut hadn't recieved the return. I was asked to print, complete and sign a declaration that I had returned the item, which I did although it felt like I was being accused of theft basically.
Still nothing from them despite giving them said declaration so I had to rely on a third party payment platform to get a refund which I now have. Beware of using this company online.
I bought a brand new expensive Taiss…
I bought a brand new expensive Taiss Pro HS hooded jacket. after five days of normal ski use in Tignes, I noticed a tear. I'm in touch with Mammut and hoping for a good result. When I called their customer service, they were friendly and helpful. I had my previous ski coat (North Face Summit Series) for over a decade with no rips or damage. When my wife had a problem with a Patagonia product, they replaced it immediately without question. Mammut is a good brand, I hope the customer service lives up to this.
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. Ordered a T shirt that never arrived. According to the Tracker, it never made it to the UK. Have been trying to get customer service to respond to my emails but just get a standard ' we have passed it to the relevant department'. No sign of a refund despite the item having been received back by the company nearly 4 weeks ago. My advice - avoid using Mammut.
