Thought I’d give them a try as I found out I had a slow puncture but the guy behind reception could not have been more unhelpful. Told me they couldn’t repair it before he even looked and he doubted that they would have my tyre size in to replace , again without even checking the tyre over. Needless to say I was told there was a 2.5Hr wait and to take a seat while he ran around like a headless chicken. Obviously didn’t want my business so went around the corner to another tyre place who fitted it KWIK……

Wouldn’t return looks like it’s ran shambolic

Used Tyrespot Birtley for years on and off for tyres and never really had a problem. They don't do MOTs - so I thought I'd take it to the branch on Team Valley. Wish I hadn't as they came back with a list of failures so long it was unbelievable.

Whilst in the waiting area I was was a bit concerned at how high, and for how long, they revved the engine. Shortly after this the car developed a severe internal oil leak - which I'm sure they induced.

The car passed an MOT elsewhere, but now eats oil. It never did this before Tyrespot got their hands on it.

There is a young guy who manages this place, he’s the most competent manager within this industry I’ve come across, we use him for our work vans and he always fits us in when he can at short notice.

He today squeezed me in for a MOT on my wife’s car after the person who booked it got the times wrong.

Great service, great manager, great place.

Went on Saturday for 2 new tyres on my car parked car up till Monday to use for work then as I leave my street light comes on to check tyres only to find they had put 57 psi in my tyres no wonder it was bouncy shock think I’ll be going somewhere else next time

Awful experience at Tyre Spot Washington with Jim. Having paid £450 for a new exhaust my car was making a horrendous loud pitched whistle noise when I collected it. I returned the car and asked what the noise was as it hadn’t been making it before. Firstly I was told it was a pulley under the bonnet and nothing to do with them. Then they said just because they were the last to touch the car didn’t mean it was their fault. Then they blamed the bad weather (there was no adverse weather in the hour between collecting and returning) Then they likened it to changing a light bulb in your kitchen and the microwave breaking. Then they said it was making that noise when I dropped it off. It absolutely was not, I couldn’t bare the noise for an hour never mind longer, it was so loud. They stated it was pure coincidence but they would be happy to book me in to look at it and they would give me a quote for any repairs! Needless to say I wasn’t doing that in case they caused more issues and refused to take responsibility. Jim was incredibly condescending and appeared to me to be taking advantage of the fact I was a lone female with little car knowledge. But I did know what he was saying was wrong. I later got a phone call from Colin at Tyre Spot in Houghton who could not have been more helpful. He offered to look at my car immediately and stayed open late to check it. Surprise surprise, it was a bracket between the exhaust and catalytic converter causing the noise, and was their fault after all. He fixed it within minutes and was very apologetic. I’m so disappointed the staff at Washington weren’t as helpful, it was an easy fix for a minor error they made and I certainly wouldn’t return or recommend the garage to anyone. I would have gave 1 star but seemed unfair on the lovely Colin who helped me so quickly.

My son and I are here from Germany and we had a flat tyre that they fixed within 30 minutes. Really friendly and experienced staff. Can only highly recommend them

Booked car in for wheel alignment at Washington. Guy on reception is amazing knows his job and very helpful to all customers that arrived while I was there. Told my rear wheels were fine but front were out which I suspected as had hit a pot hole badly and was told cost. Very reasonable price job done efficiently. Would def recommend 👍

Well what an amazing experience with my local houghton tyre spot nothing was a problem manager exellent very happy customer will use them again well done to the staff great bunch of mechanics.

Staff at Tyrespot Darlington are always friendly and professional - and they always try to fit you it even when very busy. The staff explain things well and give clear explanations of how they are going to fix the problem.

Contacted the manager Daniel at the consett depot for a air con recharge he fitted me in and give me a price, i dropped the car off and he give me a time and the car was ready before the alloted time slot.
Very good service, very friendly and very proffesional.

Deliver my mother-in-law’s Vauxhall Viva to Tyre Spot Consett to have front wheel knocked back into shape after a collision with a kerb.
Before I could blink the wheel was repaired at no cost to my mother-in-law.

Had a woodscrew in the rear tyre of my a1.called into tyrespot at Washington fully expecting a replacement tyre,as the screw was close to the tyre wall. They repaired the tyre,rebalanced with new valve fantastic.only waited half an hour, great service.will use again.

Only one star because zero is not an option absolute robbing con men will make up problems and not fix the actual issue reported to trading standards absolute cowboys yee haaa sandy lane

Went in to have tracking done after an hour guy came out and said no good doing tracking you need two new parts. Shocked to say the least as these parts were brand new 6 weeks prior hence why I needed tracking done. Felt like they were trying it on. Never mind some other garage got my money never going back to tyre spot after this rubbish

We have used Tyre Spot on many occasions for my elderly dad's car. Paul is always friendly and very helpful and he managed to fit us in for a new battery, break fluid change and air conditioning re-gas at short notice today which was really appreciated. All the work was done to a very high standard using quality components and Paul provided excellent communication throughout. Booked my car in for two front tyres and I had messed up with ordering the incorrect ones.

Hi had sorted and arranged the new tryes to arrive the next day, called at 10.30 am and was all ready.
Would recommend completely.

After writing a poor review about tyre spot birtley the manager from team valley contacted me ,apologised, got my car picked up and put right.
Fair is fair ,no extra charge.

We were packing our car for a trip when we noticed one of our tyres had a cut in it. We had to be in Manchester that afternoon so needed immediate attention. Went to our local Tyre spot at Sandy Lane Newcastle and Stephen on reception somehow managed to fit us in and a new tyre was fitted within an hour. Excellent service.
