I enjoyed the fantastic tour through the Balkan countries, seeing the scenery, towns and learning from our guide Vojin and the local guides about the causes of the 1990's war and the current uneasy state of affairs.
For the 4 days in Greece, our jovial guide Spiro and driver Zorki made the travelling very enjoyable. And seeing the emerging spring blossoms and leaves added to the interesting visits along the route.
Long days travelling, and for me, late arrivals at our hotels did contribute to my exhaustion.

My travelling family of 11 friends did the Turkey 19 day tour in June/July 2024, and it was an amazing experience (especially the 7 day Gullet cruise). Our guide Mustafa was unbelievably well organised when it came to checking in at hotels to pre-ordering lunches while touring. His deep knowledge of the history, economic and social aspects of turkey made the whole trip an unforgettable experience. His dry wit and humour was an added bonus.

I went on the Turkey tour back in October with some friends and we had the greatest time! Our guide Mustafa was very knowledgeable and kept it fun. It was a very comprehensive trip around Turkey and included Gallipoli which as an Australian has always been somewhere I've wanted to go

I have been wanting to do the 10-day Essential Turkey tour for a while now, and I am so glad I did. The entire trip was incredibly well-organized, making it smooth and stress-free from start to finish.

Our guide, Mustafa was fantastic.
Not only was he attentive and professional, but he also had a great sense of humor, making the 10days go fast. His willingness to share his extensive knowledge of Turkey's rich history, culture, and landmarks was appreciated at every stop.
We were shown the best of everything, from ancient ruins to breathtaking landscapes. Although it is winter, and therefore colder and less sunshine, he still made the tour enjoyable and found plenty of opportunities to stop for photos throughout our trip.

My personal highlights were the sunrise hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia and the visit to Gallipoli.

We met Mustafa our fantastic guide at a lovely boutique hotel right in the middle of Istanbul.
He helped us explore the famous Blue Mosque and amazing Sultan’s palace. We were able to indulge into a completely different culture with his informative and quite entertaining guidance.
Off to Gallipoli next… then the Ancient City of Troy.. amazing ….always on my bucket list!!
Ephesus was an absolute highlight and Calciun deposits of Pamukkale an absolutely unique experience to walk through the warm springs..
Konya … and the Underground cities of the Hitites.. all very interesting and great fun exploring.
Our time in Cappadocia was awesome as well..
Hot air ballooning,Imagination Valley, learning how those amazing carpets are made!! Total respect for the those weavers….
On our way back to Istanbul for our final night…
It’s sad …as we’ve built some lovely comradery amongst us.

At first, I was skeptical about going to Turkiye and with Travel Talk, but it turns out to be the best travel experience I have so far

The tour of Turkey by Gulet was an incredible experience! A beautiful country, wonderful people and sensational food and all made better by our incredible guide Mustafa! He is very knowledgeable, approachable and possesses a great sense of humour. Mustafa provided us with historical information in a captivating manner along the tour that kept our interest and excitement peaking. Touring the ancient sites with him providing key knowledge made Turkey an amazing experience I will treasure forever. What more is there to say other than our Turkey tour? This was truly a magical experience. Our Guide was exceptional and full of interesting facts about his country. I feel very luck to have had Mustafa be our tour guide whilst doing 10 day Turkey by land trip. He really looked after us. Unfortunately the Gallipoli fires were occurring during our tour. He knew how important it was for us to go there, and used every trick in his joke book to make it happen in a safe manner. Mustafa was also just great to be around, very friendly, funny, helped us a lot! He even helped us post tour when in Istanbul. I was grateful that he helped us plan our taxi rides post tour. I was lucky enough to go on the Traveltalk 12 day ANZAC tour earlier this year with Guide Mustafa. Mustafa is the best guide I have ever had the joy of travelling with. He is professional and kind, with a great sense of humour. He went out of his way to ensure that the group were well informed and well looked after. The experience itself was also amazing. Turkey is an incredible country that every person should visit. The landscapes, the people, the culture. Being in Gallipoli on ANZAC Day is a once in a lifetime pilgrimage that New Zealanders and Australians should experience if they can to see the context of this moment in our shared history with Turkey.

We had a wonderful tour of Egypt. Nothing was too much trouble for our local guide Mo & he looked after us all so well. His knowledge of the history of Egypt was impressive and he was also happy to answer any questions about life in modern Egypt. Would certainly use Travel Talk for another trip.

Recently did a 12 day Turkey tour with Guide Mustafa, the tour was exceptional, Guide Mustafa truly is one of a kind, unbelievable amount of knowledge of all the history, Guide Mustafa went above and beyond to accommodate the whole bus. No one could complain. And also a great guy.

We recently travelled on the 12 Day land tour through Turkey.
Wow, such a beautiful place. But the best part was our guide Mustafa. With his knowledge/history, we were intrigued. My husband still say to today, if he can go back and do the tour through Ephesus Archaeological Site with Mustafa again, he would do it in a heart beat.
I must say, i have been on other bus tours and loved Travel Talk Tours very much. Very well orgainised and helpful all the way.

I have done 2 Travel Talk tours this year, Turkey and the Balkans but the Turkey tour was a definite standout. What a sensational tour made even better by our guide Mustafa. From the welcome meeting and throughout the tour Mustafa was welcoming, friendly, informative, knowledgeable and funny. He made sure each guest was comfortable and enjoying themselves as much as possible. Mustafa provided factual information about the Turkish culture and historical information about the sites visited and Turkey itself. He provided not only information relevant to the sites visited but also useful information on where to purchase gifts, souvenirs, food and helpful information about things to see and do during your freetime. The whole tour went very smoothly due to his diligence.I cannot praise him enough nor recommend this tour highly enough. If you are thinking about doing this tour, just do it. You will not regret it. My only issue is that the tour was not long enough. Turkey is a spectacular country with beautiful scenery, people and culture. I thoroughly enjoyed Turkey and am already planning to come back. Hopefully I will be lucky enough to have Mustafa as my guide next time as well.

The Turkiye Essentials Tour was the first organised group trip that I have done and I had no idea what to expect, especially travelling on my own. I chose this tour because of all the Historical sites on the itinerary and I was not disappointed! Right from the first day Turkiye completely blew me away!

There was so much packed into the 10 days without it feeling overwhelming. The tour felt really well organised and our Guide Mustafa had thought of everything, including where to find clean rest stops and food options. His passion for and knowledge of Turkiye and its fascinating history was infectious, making every site come alive. This was the perfect introduction to Turkiye.

All of the sites, excursions and experiences were amazing, there was so much to see and do everywhere: it’s impossible to choose a favourite but the hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia and walking around sites like Topkapi Palace and Ephesus will stay with me for a long time. It’s safe to say that I will be coming back to Turkiye in the future. And I will definitely be travelling with Travel Talk again.

This was the first group tour I've ever taken and the farthest I've travelled from Canada, but I've been wanting to see Turkey for a long time. It was an incredible experience and I felt very taken care of; this tour is very expertly planned and run. Now, I can say I've seen more of the country than many of my friends from Turkiye. I wanted to stay a few extra days before and after the trip, and TravelTalk arranged for the extra days at the hotel. Pickup from the hotel was a breeze and I ended up in my own private transport. Our guide, Mustafa, went above and beyond here, helping me to arrange transport back to the airport and checking on me to make sure my car arrived even when the tour was officially over. Mustafa made sure everyone's needs and comfort were considered. Pleasant, informative, and very well-organized. You never have to worry about bathroom breaks while travelling from place to place, or lineups at major tourist hotspots, and if you're not familiar with Turkish cuisine, you can count on your guide providing translations, descriptions, and taking orders in advance so that when you arrive at stops along the route, food is ready. Tour members in our group ranged from mid-twenties into senior ages with people from NZ, Australia, Canada, America, Russia, and India; from mild medical conditions to basic questions, everyone was treated with respect. Of the Turkish guides, bus drivers, and people in general, I can say that everyone is very friendly and helpful in Turkiye and eager to share their culture. I loved our drivers, who got us smoothly and safely where we needed to be in good humor and with a smile. I brought back so many memories and photos and keep in touch with a few of my tour members. Troy was one of my favourite stops, but there's nothing about Turkiye and this tour I didn't love. The underground city, fairy chimneys, and hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia were magical experiences; Mustafa ensured that we beat the sunrise on the way out of the city so that we could see the balloons as we were leaving (helpful if you opt not to do the ride). Ephesus and Pamukkale were so rich in natural beauty and history. Parasailing in Fethiye is now a major highlight of my life, and three days on a Gulet cruise with swimming, sunning, laughter, wine, and some of the best food I had in Turkiye (thanks to Chef Suleyman for the mousaka recipe!) has left me craving a return trip just for that alone. Lots of love to Turkiye's street dogs and cats as well. So many everywhere, and I loved seeing them around the Hagia Sophia. What an incredible place to visit. It's so lovely to visit a country and not have to worry about any of the logistics; just be sure to bring Turkish lira as its more expedient to pay the guide in advance for tourist sites than to pay one by one when you arrive at each place. I have raved to my friends about this particular tour and the excellent guide we had. Can't recommend enough.
