I joined a Lanzarote excursion on September 21st. The guide was knowledgeable and the tour itself was well organized, but the entire experience was ruined by the terrible customer service and pick-up management.
On their platform it clearly says that pick-up is arranged at the closest point to your hotel or apartment. In reality, only after booking I received a confusing email with instructions pointing me to a pick-up location that was impossible to reach on foot. It was my first day on the island, I didn’t know how to get around yet, and I immediately asked for clarification. I sent several WhatsApp messages, even just requesting directions or which bus to take to get there. The result was silence. No reply at all.
I had no choice but to figure it out myself, waking up at 6 a.m. to reach the location in time. When the bus finally arrived, 30 minutes late, the most frustrating and unacceptable part happened. During the pick-up route the driver passed right near my apartment, literally a couple of minutes away, to collect other guests. So a convenient pick-up point near me did exist, but it was never offered.
This is not just poor organization, it is a complete lack of care for the customer. While the tour itself was enjoyable, the customer service was embarrassing, inadequate and frankly disrespectful. Totally unacceptable. I do not recommend Travel On World.
