I did a tiling course. Really good staff willing to go the extra mile to make sure you get it. The 6 week course in tiling covers everything you need to know including advice on how to start up your business. Equally suitable if you’re just interested in doing DIY to improve your and your families homes. It’s the perfect investment in yourself and your future business/career. Effective teaching and you spend most of your time in hands-on practical in control of your own design decisions, with some helpful theory lectures thrown in.

By the end you will be fully able to tile an entire room by yourself to a high standard, across different backgrounds etc and will have a full understanding of proper preparation and material selection too

The staff were really approachable and easy to talk to, Rob taught our course well with support from Antony to guide us where needed. I felt we were slightly restricted with space for the course and a bay each would have been more helpful for the course.

I recently completed the City & Guilds 6 weeks Level 2 Diploma(6035) plumbing program at Trades Training School, and I am thrilled to share my experience with prospective students. I completed the week plumbing course with the hope of learning some additional plumbing skills and knowledge. I quickly found out there was so much more I didn't know I didn't know. The training offered by Iain was so well balanced. Congruent with plumbing in that the content was tight enough with enough space to get insights into what each of us needed. A great balance of focus and an abundance of insightful tips from our plumbing Yoda (Iain). A big thanks to everyone involved in creating such a rich learning environment...loved every day of my 5 days

Went on tilling course with a bit of knowledge of tilling but Antony and team showed me things that I did not know and will definitely help me with jobs. Would highly recommend doing the course.

What an excellent teaching facility. I completed the one week plastering course in 2021 and have recently completed the 2 week plumbing course. The staff are always willing to help and share their own knowledge. Iain who took my plumbing course really was excellent. Nothing is too much hassle, and the after course support is invaluable. I did a 1 week plastering course and felt a week might not have been enough but with the excellent experience of the training staff I have gained a new skill. I still have a lot to learn regarding plastering but within the week these guys have trained me amazingly and I'm now able to do small projects which were once holding me back on some jobs.

I cannot thank and recommend Trades Training School enough. I have went from a complete novice to having a good understanding/ confidence in bathroom installation, tiling and plastering within 6 weeks. The instructors are very experienced and catered for all levels of previous/no experience. Wether its plumbing, tiling or plastering your looking to get into this school is the place to be.

Quality course that gave me the confidence to start my own tiling business. Immy is very patient instructor who helped me learn loads in a short space of time.

Excellent place to train,I did my 2 weeks (walls&floors) tiling course,my tiling instructors were great and patient with me Ant,matty,immy,atmosphere was great and we worked through the tasks as the week went on ,I will return late on in the year to do my diploma in tiling.

The team are friendly and great. The help and advice they give is brilliant. They walk you through everything you need to know from start to finish.

Just finished the 4 weeks ELCAS course, they are intensive but taught in a relaxed, friendly and professional manner by experienced tradespeople. All the staff fully support you if you have any questions and take the time to explain everything, they also support you when you finish your training course so you will be confident using your new found skills. I would highly recommend the course and the training school to everyone.

An excellent supporter of the Armed forces community, I have just completed the 6 week Bathroom Installation Course via the ELCAS process, this has given me the confidence and knowledge required to start refitting of a bathroom for a client. This course involves 3 elements Plastering-Plumbing-Tiling, all teaching staff have a in-depth knowledge of their area of expertise and go far beyond just delivering the course, the trade tips alone are worth attending. Anthony the owner an Ex RM fully understands the needs of a Service Person as they transit into the civilian work space and provides ongoing support after the course has been completed. If you are a hands on person and are interested in this area I highly recommend you talk to Trade Training School Edinburgh.

Like to say a huge thanks to all the staff at trades training everyone was so friendly and approachable the tutors were so informative, knowledgeable and great craic I couldn't believe the amount of different aspects of plumbing covered I am confident to tackle most plumbing jobs now. I will definitely be back to have a go at the plastering course again many thanks for giving me this new skill 👍

What an amazing experience! I did the 1 week course and thoroughly enjoyed it, learned so much from a full week of non stop hands-on learning. There were some very informative lectures and the instructors were always on hand to guide and answer anything on the course and generally anything you want to ask about tiling, even with regards to your own home projects. I managed to complete the main course projects on time and even got to learn how to tackle a herringbone splash back as an extra. Everyone at the school are super friendly and made the experience enjoyable. The instructors Anthony, Kimmy and Matty are very approachable, they are excellent teachers and are always on hand to help. I definitely feel confident tackling my home project with everything I learned. I will probably come back for the 1 week plumbing course next year!
