ELEC TRAINING Arvostelua

⭐ 1/5 – AVOID ELEC TRAINING – £2,249 WASTED AND MONTHS OF MY TIME LOST!

I strongly advise anyone considering Elec Training for their electrical qualifications to think very carefully before handing over their hard-earned money.

I paid this company £2,249 to complete my NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation. Unfortunately, what followed was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience.

Despite submitting my portfolio evidence and doing everything required of me, I was left waiting approximately SIX MONTHS without my work being properly assessed or internally quality assured (IQA).

Six months of delays, wasted time and unnecessary stress, all while my qualification and career progression were being held back.

For a company charging thousands of pounds for professional training, I find this level of service completely unacceptable.

What makes the situation even worse is that I eventually had to abandon the process with Elec Training and enrol with another provider, costing me an additional £1,980.

That’s £4,229 I’ve had to pay towards completing a qualification that should never have required me to change providers in the first place.

I have since completed my AM2 assessment, so my commitment to achieving my qualifications was never the issue.

I have formally requested a full refund of the £2,249 paid to Elec Training.

In my opinion, the service I received was nowhere near the standard I was entitled to expect. I feel that I paid a substantial amount of money and was left with very little to show for it.

My advice to other electricians: DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE ENROLLING.

An NVQ is an important investment in your career, and nobody should have to experience the delays, additional expense and frustration that I have.

I would never use Elec Training again, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend them to anyone.

⭐ 1 star – only because zero stars isn’t an option.

Best company ever with great course teach and knowledge will recommend to friends and colleagues. Thank you guys

I have a good experience of learning here, good learning environments and flexible stuff and easy to learn in your own time

Really kind staff who are super helpful during the whole process.

Nice teaching, friendly tutors
Mr Mark And Nathen made the training and practicals so easy and understandable.

Nice to train with Elec.

Be back for level 3 definitely.

All of the tutors were very conscientious, especially with helping those struggling a little. Would highly recommend if you’re looking to change your career to electrics.

Very good for me and you staff supportive service is organised and recommendation is very highly 100%

ELEC Training provides an outstanding service for anyone pursuing their electrical NVQ, and I cannot praise them highly enough. In an industry where gaining practical experience has become increasingly difficult, ELEC Training stands out as a company genuinely committed to helping learners build real careers through paid, meaningful placements across the UK.

I want to give special recognition to Liam McCreight, whose professionalism, dedication, and genuine care for his students is exceptional. Liam goes far beyond what you would normally expect from a training provider. His ability to recognise when someone needs support and his willingness to step in with both expertise and compassion makes an enormous difference.

Thanks to Liam’s guidance and the opportunities provided through ELEC Training, we’ve seen first-hand how their placements open doors to high‑quality work, strong team environments, and long‑term career prospects. The businesses they partner with clearly value ELEC Training’s students, offering competitive pay, progression opportunities, and even international project work.

ELEC Training isn’t just a training company; it’s a life‑changing pathway for aspiring electricians. Liam’s commitment, integrity, and heart have a profound impact on the people he supports.

Excellent fast track route to gold card. Thanks to Liam and team for shaping our sons future five stars.

Best company and very friendly abd very helpful. Thanks always

I went to this place to do my NVQ Level 3 one of the main reasons I chose it was because of the main point that they say they can guarantee help with anyway to get you a placement and I was communicating with a member of there team called Joshua Jarvis he helped me in every way possible and helped me get set up with and electrical company to help me do my NVQ and also provided me with resources to look for job placements like likes and tips and trick i highly rate this place for anyone wanting to continue into the electrical industry and is willing to work towards getting in with a company and a degree in electrical

I’m really happy with the support I received from Elec Training, especially from Josh. He was incredibly helpful and managed to find me employment with a private company within just 4 days.

The whole process was much easier than I expected. The hardest thing I had to do was provide my CV, then Josh and the team took care of everthing else.

I honestly didn’t think it would be this easy to find an opportunity and start gaining real work experience. Reading other peoples reviews made me chose elec training so I’m here to recommend elect training to anyone deciding if to go with them.

Elec training helped me find work within one week and I am happy with the firm I’m working for

Staff was very helpful

The way they explain everything before getting admission is great .

I've just done my Level 2(2365) Fantastic experience from day one. Knowledgeable instructors who care about student success, and a solid focus on safety and real-world application. Mr Mark and Laethian (instructors) been really great, taught us practical implications in such a simple way that I couldn't believe I would be that confident about electric work in four weeks. Highly recommend to anyone looking to start a career as an electrician!

Mark was an amazing tutor alongside laethian helped me understand so so much and made me feel so confident and gave me the knowledge I need

Had an amazing time training at Elec, Josh was very considerate and helpful when to helping me get a job as well with my situation coming in to get my training done he made the time to see what he could do too help out. Mark the trainer was very friendly and made all the work and process very easy to learn and remember. On a whole I would recommend learning here for purely just for the sake of it’s amazing staff but the quality of the training was definitely top notch.

*UPDATE*
Over 2 months on from this and still being ignored!!! No idea what's going on, no communication, absolutely shocking.

I signed up with elec-training in December 2025, the person who signed me up told me they would find me a permanent job for 30K a year, within a couple of months. I still have the texts.

Almost 8 months later I have no job offers despite trying myself as well. The recruitment team are now trying to sign me up with agencies and get me temp work, which I can and have been doing myself. I get the odd message from recruitment if I contact them, they say 'we've given your details to someone you should hear back today', and I hear nothing from anyone. The recruitment team also put my original CV into ChatGPT and produced a really bad version of it that I've since had looked at by another recruitment professional and I've since redesigned, I won't be using the ChatGPT CV it's really not good. Can't fault the recruitment people themselves they are nice lads but the job finding service is no good for me. I needed the help to get a job as I've been trying myself after completing college (I completed my level 2 and 3 at night college, I also have my 18th edition) but had no luck at all.

Just really unimpressed with the overpromise by this company. If you live in Wolverhampton maybe they're really good but they don't seem to have the connections they said they did further north.

I've sent a complaint in almost 2 weeks ago now and heard nothing. The tutor I've been assigned has also escalated the matter on the same date but still nothing. I've escalated through the payitmonthly company today as it is really not acceptable what's going on. I do feel a bit scammed, although I know they're a legit company.

Liam was great throughout, from enrolment onto the NVQ to finding me work which I am enjoying as well as gaining valuable experience for my portfolio. Very helpful and always made me feel at ease through every step of the process, couldn't recommend him and Elec Training enough!
