TradeStation unable to get overnight buying power calculations right

I have been a client of TradeStation (TS) for over 10 years. At the same time, I have accounts with other brokerages as well for comparison. TradeStation (TS) has a lot of great features. However, one thing that really bothers me is that TS has never got my real-time overnight buying power calculations right. It seems that they only update overnight buying power the next day. To make things worse, updated buying power is often still inaccurate the next day.

I am a guy who has both long and short positions, and real-time overnight buying power is very important for me. It is a shame for a big company like TS not to provide real-time overnight buying power.

I reached out to them and have not received any good explanation. I am planning to close my account with them after I close out my current positions.

Ease of use

The ease of use with Trade Station is what I like the most. I am a new trader; simplicity with platforms is a huge plus.

$2,500 Withdrawal Blocked – Holding My $30,000 Account Hostage Without Explanation

I have been a TradeStation client for a long time, but my recent experience has been extremely disappointing.
On May 6, 2026, I submitted a withdrawal request for $2,500. The request was declined without any reason provided. Since then, my funds remain frozen.
Over the past week I have:
Sent multiple emails to the compliance team — no response.
Spoken with support — the agent confirmed that they could not explain the reason for the block, provide any timeline, or outline next steps.
It is unacceptable for a regulated U.S. broker to restrict client funds access without clear communication, justification, or estimated resolution time.
I have not yet filed formal complaints with FINRA and the SEC, as I would prefer to resolve this matter professionally. However, I expect to be contacted by a senior manager with a clear explanation and resolution timeline within the next 48 hours. If I do not receive a proper response, I will have no choice but to escalate the case to the regulators.

Very disappointing experience with…

Very disappointing experience with Trade Station. Customer support was slow and unhelpful, and the whole process took much longer them expected. Not satisfied at all.
