From our studio we conceive exclusive, in-house designs which feel playful, contemporary and full of charm.

We then work with carefully-selected partners and manufacturers to ensure the highest, most ethical standards in crafting our socks. That means every single pair is knitted with 200 needles using triple-certified, sustainably-sourced organic cotton for a finer, stronger finish, and is finished by hand for a seamless fit.

And finally, we work tirelessly to sock it to our customers around the world. Good look but didn’t wash well

I love the look of the socks but after one washing they seem a little faded

Thank you for your review, and we're glad you love the look of them!

We're sorry to hear they've faded after washing — that's not something we'd expect, and it's not the standard we hold ourselves to. It would be really helpful to know a little more about what happened, so please do drop us a line at hello@thelondonsockexchange.net and we'll look into it for you.

In the meantime, we'd recommend washing inside out on a cool, gentle cycle — this helps preserve the colours for longer.

The socks were great

The socks were great! They were given to my boyfriend as a gift and he loved them. The only thing that was confusing was the delivery. I linked it to my Shop and the entire time it said “retrieving details”. The order arrived perfectly but without any notice or email or notification that it was out for delivery or on its way.

I am very disappointed with my order

I am very disappointed with my purchase. I ordered the Golf giftbox, but after washing them just once, 1 pair was already damaged. Considering the price I paid, I expected much better quality and durability.

I contacted customer service about this issue and even sent a follow-up email, but I never received any response. For a company selling products at this price point, I believe it is reasonable to expect both better product quality and a customer service team that actually helps when problems arise.

Unfortunately, this experience has left me dissatisfied and unlikely to order again.

Update: After the response from The London Sock Exchange, I sent two more emails to customer service. I still haven’t heard anything and haven’t been helped.

We’re really sorry to hear this – that’s certainly not what we’d expect after a first wash, and it does sound like a fault. We completely understand how disappointing that must have been.

We also want to confirm that we respond to all customer emails, particularly when a product issue is raised. If you haven’t seen a reply from us, it’s possible our response may have landed in your spam or junk folder, which does occasionally happen.

Quick response & cutest socks!

First of all, your response to my question via email was soooo quick, thank you for that. The three socks I bought this time was a gift to a very fashion conscious person, the result was an absolute success! He loved all of them. You are a go-to shop when it comes to a small gift for a male friend.

Great quality in itself. Packing could be improved.

It was really good. The quality of the socks were exactly as expected. The designs beautiful. The recipient loved the gift. The only thing I would improve on is the packing materials. I think it was delivered in a soft post bag, with no cushioning, so the thin cardboard of the box the socks came in was slightly bent and creased. I deliberated whether to gift the socks in this creased box or not, as it slightly cheapened the effect of the gift, but in the end I smoothed it out as best I could and did so. So while I’ve still given five stars overall, I’d really recommend working on a sturdier packing option so it arrives pristine.
