We stayed in Bramble for the week before Easter. Our daughter is a full time wheelchair user. The space and the access provided by the bedroom and en suite accessible bathroom has been very well thought out and the finishing’s are all of a very high quality. Also, the provision of a profiling bed and the Molift 150 portable hoist allowed us to travel lighter than we usually do.

The lounge/diner/kitchen is spacious, accessible, and usable with modern appliances and how to use instructions (all detailed in a convenient and comprehensive guide). The other two bedrooms are very spacious and an accessible second bathroom is an excellent idea if more than one guest requires ease of access (great for aging guests as well).

The chalet is equipped with a washer/dryer and a dishwasher with enough crockery and cutlery to meet the needs of 6 persons. The small touches of oils, condiments, foils and plastic wrap all added to the sense that Elaine and Tony have really thought about what will work for guests using the chalet. Even the robot vacuum cleaner makes sense. The few times we did need additional support, Elaine provided the responses we needed in a timely manner.

Access into the chalet and onto the decking is very usable, and provides wonderful outside views complimenting those from the large floor to ceiling windows. Watching the exploits of the resident hare in the field down to the estuary each morning was great, especially as there is a pair of binoculars available to guests.

The site can be approached in three ways. We found access via New Road to be the easiest.

The concept being delivered by the host really hits the mark. Guests with a disability really are catered for, though it is equally well suited to those without special needs.

We would highly recommend this to anybody who needs an accessible holiday chalet. The property ticks all of the right boxes, has been well thought out, well executed, and deserves the description of a luxury chalet.

We were able to visit many of the local attractions (including some great golf courses for me) as well as the local villages and some great local pubs which we would highly recommend.

We will certainly be returning and can only applaud the venture which Elaine and Tony have provided.

Had a wonderful short break. Great they were able to provide all the accessible equipment so we didn’t have to bring it. Will definitely be back.

A real home from home. The chalet is above and beyond any usual accessible accommodation. You usually get wheelchair access and a pull down seat in a shower but at Wyre estuary they have a list of equipment as well as wet rooms, profiling beds as standard. Elaine is always available and she checks in with you prior to arrival to check what you might need. We stayed with our 17 year old son and were able to care for him to the same standard we would at home. The chalets are not just for disabled guests. They are high end accommodation for any visitor. They are in stunning surroundings. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely stay! The place is located with a beautiful view, stunning interior and pristine clean on arrival. Beds are the comfiest I’ve ever stayed in. All very modern, gorgeous place

We had an electrical fire at home at 4pm on 3rd November and we had to vacate our home at short notice. My son is disabled and a wheelchair user and so could not access family accommodation. I made contact with Elaine as a first time user of the chalet to see if there was any availability. I was fortunate in that Elaine could accommodate my son and his care team for three nights. Elaine was super helpful on the phone and agreed to make her way to the chalet to ensure the heating would be on and ready for my son arriving. She offered to get some milk in for us and asked if there was anything else she should do to help me given our difficult circumstances. She kindly provided a projector for my son to use.

The chalet we stayed in was Bramble. It is an absolutely stunning and large property. It had a profiling bed and wet room for my son’s use. The property is full of mod cons and the views were beautiful over The Estuary.

Elaine and her husband were super friendly and incredibly helpful particularly when I stupidly parked on a grassed area (despite plenty of parking) which resulted in my car getting stuck in the boggy grassed area. Elaine and her husband and a friendly local all helped move my car to see me on my onward journey.

I would most definitely recommend the riverside Chalets to families with or without accessible requirements as the owners are kind, friendly and helpful, the views are beautiful, the area peaceful and the accommodation stunning.

I could live there!

Well what a diamond of a place this is…. sheer luxury in a beautiful location. This lodge has everything you will need and more. Alexa and Smart TVs in every room. A stunning living area with underfloor heating and views to die for. Elaine has thought of everything. And the lodge was perfect for me. Thank you Elaine we will be back 😀

Looking for accessible accommodation of a high quality then look no further.

We had an absolutely fantastic four night stay at Bramble. It was such a relief to find accommodation that is truly wheelchair friendly and to have the option of additional equipment if needed. It made our break such a pleasure, took all of the stress out of the trip and we could relax and enjoy ourselves in this beautiful setting. The chalet is warm and welcoming with top quality fixtures and fittings, and ample space to manouvre a wheelchair and zimmer. All the facilities were perfect, the kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable and everywhere was immaculately clean. We were in easy reach of friends and relatives so travelled locally but would have been quite content to stay in the chalet and drink in the views over the estuary. Elaine was super helpful and responsive and much to our delight we were able to bring our cat so we felt very much at ease and at home. We'll definitely be back and would strongly recommend a stay here.

We recently stayed four nights at Bramble. Its so refreshing to find accommodation that is truly accessible. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the property and comfort of their guests.
My elderly father is a full time wheelchair user and the property was perfect for his needs.
There is an en suite fully accessible shower room with grab rails, toilet raiser and shower chair. Every bedroom also has its own tv and hairdryer if needed. The living area is fully open plan and very spacious and has amazing views over the estuary.
The property is in a quiet spot but only 5mins drive from the local village and we also visited Cleveleys, Lytham and Morecambe. All within driving distance and have accessible promenade areas.
Elaine was really helpful with answering any questions in the lead up to our holiday and also whilst we were there. The information folder inside the property was also a great help with tips for using appliances.
We would definetly recommend a visit and will be looking to book again ourselves!

Fabulous place to stay. Very high level of luxury, spacious and quiet. A good location for visiting the hustle and bustle of Blackpool and surrounding area. Our sons mobility issues perfectly catered for with equipment and facilities.

Great place to stay with top notch facilities and a great location. The disabled access, wet room, hoist etc were excellent. I couldn't recommend it more.

We’ve just come back from the most magical holiday stay at The Estuary Chalets ( BlackBerry). Elaine was a superb host and the property was ultra modern and spacious….ideal for a wheelchair user. Even better we could bring our dog too. The attention to detail in all aspects of the holiday was faultless. The tranquility of the setting and the views were priceless . Highly recommended in all respects.

As a full time wheelchair user properly accessible properties are hard to find. We stayed in the Bramble, it's spacious, fully accessible and full of all kinds of equipment and gadgets to make things easier during our stay. Elaine was on hand throughout the weeks prior to the stay to ensure we had everything we needed and to answer all of my questions. The house has a lovely view of the estuary from the accessible decking and is a short drive from many places, lytham, fleetwood, knott end and Blackpool. We had a lovely week ❤️

What a fantastic place, we loved everything!!!! We always struggle to find places that we can get in and about easily with a wheelchair, no such problem here!
Everything you could need was there, and the milk and chocolates on arrival was a lovely touch! The videos before were super helpful too for the oven and blinds etc!!
We loved the binoculars to watch the hares and birds. Bed was super comfy and we felt relaxed that our daughter was safe and happy in her bed with sides, she loved the galaxy nightlight!
We will definitely be back again, a hidden gem, well done!!!!

Amazing clean, fresh, modern, spacious accommodation
Great if you have someone in the group with a disability although we didn’t We were a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) which included a lively 2 year old so having accommodation all on one level was ideal
There were lovely modern touches that helped the house run amazingly like Alexa’s in every room, voice activated blackout blinds, Netflix/Disney+/etc
Elaine was so easy to deal with and always helped out with any queries I had very quickly

Absolutely beautiful house with stunning views of the estuary. Weather was good and we sat out on the veranda A LOT, drinking in the views and a glass or two of Prosecco. So peaceful but with shops just a five minute drive away.
Elaine was just great, if we needed anything she was there.
The area is stunning, so much to explore, we will definitely be back.

I had been searching for a holiday for a while for myself (an electric wheelchair user) my husband, my mom, my dad (scooter / walker user) my sister and her husband. Unfortunately my dad had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and we really wanted to go on holiday together and make good memories. From the beginning Elaine and Tony were really helpful with booking and talking about our needs. We stayed in BlackBerry - one of the first things we noticed when we arrived was the AMAZING view at the back. We all enjoyed sitting together with a nice coffee in the mornings! The chalet was plenty big enough for all of us and was really easy to navigate in a wheelchair. We loved the motorised blinds and the other bits of technology in the chalet. When Elaine called a few days before we arrived to check everything was ok and to confirm any equipment we needed at the chalet (rails for the toilets etc) she mentioned a galaxy projector which I thought sounded really cool so she left it for us to have a look (safe to say I have now ordered one as I want one at home - it is so relaxing and helps with anxiety!) The kitchen was very well equipped and everything was really clean and tidy. All 3 bedrooms had room for anyone who needs to use mobility equipment. It has been amazing to be able to stay somewhere that seems to understand disabilities and know what is needed to make holidaying easier. This was a really special holiday for us and we have made some really amazing memories. Thank you so much to Elaine and Tony xx

The accommodation is excellent.Spacious,very well equipped,very comfortable with a very informative operational guide book.
The views and surroundings are beautiful,with green open areas and interesting wildlife. Furnishings and beds are extremely comfortable with an extensive patio for eating and relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped and the chalet is very accessible for people who have mobility problems.
There is adequate parking and the chalet is in very peaceful surroundings. My family had a wonderful holiday from the youngest at 6 yrs to theoldest at 82. The proprietors have gone to great lengths to provide facilities for all ages and abilities.

From the moment of booking to the very end, the holiday was bliss. Elaine provides superb service - great communication, how to use videos for the numerous devices in the property, changing of medical aides/equipment and a beautiful, fantastically finished chalet. Views that are forever changing depending on the weather/time of day over the estuary. As a three generation family (83, 82, 50, 16 & 10 plus 2 dogs!) all of us loved staying here.
Elaine even went so far as to drop off a birthday cake for my mother who turned 82 during our stay.
We thoroughly recommend & would love to return again!
