When attending an appointment for an eye test at Pearce & Blackmore Opticians in Cardiff, I saw The Hearing Care Partnership advertised there stating the excellent Trustpilot rating. After struggling with my hearing for far too long and believing it was due to substantial ear wax build up, I had wanted to make an appointment for wax removal but was unsure where to book and was a little worried about the treatment. Reading some of the reviews on here encouraged me to make an appointment for an ear wax check and removal. The Trustpilot reviews led me to expect the service to be very good and Katie who provided the treatment based at Pearce & Blackmore opticians was fantastic. She was patient, friendly, explained everything to me and I found the treatment to be painless. I had put off having my ears treated for far too long but will certainly be returning there if I have a build-up of wax again and I have recommended the service to several of my friends.

Had a problem with blocked ears and was very concerned. I was looked after by Rebecca. She was so caring and explained everything. I had to have a second visit and again looked after. Caring and professional.

I went into the clinic to have my ear wax removed, however I was told that this was not necessary. I also had a hearing test which confirmed what I had already suspected, that I need hearing aids. Faisal was very thorough, explained everything to me thoroughly but did not try to pressure me into anything. I expected to be charged , even though there was no wax to remove but was told that there would be no charge.
Faisal was professional and helpful but not pushy, such a welcome change. I strongly recommend this company.

Many thanks to Tom Lewis at THCP. His great patience made the process of understanding my hearing loss and selecting the right hearing aids simple and straight-forward. He never pressured me along any particular path but clearly explained the benefits of each option. My aids are now in and working excellently, giving not only my hearing a boost but also my self-confidence!

Experts suggest that aftercare is probably more important than product selection. With this in mind, I had hearing assessments with a couple of audiologists; one with a major high street brand and one with The Hearing Care Partnership (THCP). After meeting with THCP, there was a clear and obvious winner. Faisal (Mohammed) is a great representative of the company. He's professional and knowledgeable yet approachable and friendly. I am very pleased with the product he recommended and the service I have received since our first meeting a couple of months ago. I can highly recommend TCHP and Faisal in particular.

The information I received about the hearing aids was honest and easy to understand.
The audiologist explained everything thoroughly and was patient as I learnt how to use the hearing aids. All my questions were answered fully. The hearing aids give great clarity and are very comfortable to wear. I'm no longer struggling to hear what is being said and this makes life more enjoyable.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Aksa Raheel at THCP Shaw. I met Asksa on the 2.12.25 with near total hearing loss. She was 1st class in explaining everything & putting my mind at ease from the very start after a very poor NHS experience with my ears over the past few months. She took extreme care whilst removing the build up of wax to both ears always stopping & checking on my welfare all through the procedure. To be able to hear again was/is amazing. I cannot thank Aksa enough & would recommend her to anyone who asks. She is a credit to your company. Thank You. Lawrence Ryan.

This morning I visited Faisal at The Hearing Care Partnership in Mere Green, it had been 2 years since my last hearing test here.

Faisal is so kind and caring and explains fully all the tests he does and why they are being carried out. This is really interesting and reassuring.

I was so pleased to find out that my hearing is pretty much the same as it was two years ago and I'll visit again when called for my Review.

Good communication prior to the appointment. Kirsten was excellent throughout the session. She very much put us at our ease. She explained procedures clearly, and was very informative and reassuring about the results.

Just had my hearing done by Jacqueline. She is a very lovely woman who has now put me an ease.

I’ve been having some issues which doesn’t help as I poke my ear with cotton buds such as discharge, ringing in the ears. She checked my ear for wax and it was clean, she checked the pressure, sound and got me to do a hearing test. I was a bit worried going in this morning but I came out of rhe appointment all happy and well relaxing after knowing my hearing is fine.

Three of my friends have hearing aids they do not wear because of poor fitting
When I first met Marie, her professionalism and patience during the hearing assessment assured me that I could have complete confidence in her advice. Now having had a fitting, I know that I have chosen the right company. I am really excited about all the sounds I have been missing.

After experiencing difficulty in hearing during conversations in various social settings. I felt that I needed to have my hearing tested by a professional audiologist. Fortunately my optician had recently advised that they were running a clinic where I could have my hearing evaluated, professionally. I booked a test and duly attended. I was assessed at DI Blow Opticians in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, by Elaine Clifford, a charming and very knowledgeable audiologist, who left no stone unturned in understanding the hearing difficulties which I was experiencing. The process was very thorough and carried out with care. Elaine found that I was indeed losing my hearing and advised hearing aids. She fitted a pair of hearing aids, after testing my hearing, using various calculations, and the difference, to my hearing wearing the temporary hearing aids was staggering. To cut a long story short, approximately one week later I purchased a pair of, very reasonably priced, hearing aids, suitably checked and fitted by Elaine. I have been wearing them daily for approximately 6 weeks and I'm not exaggerating when I say that they have absolutely changed my hearing experience. I used to suffer headaches straining to hear during conversations, always asking people to repeat what they had said or simply not being able to understand much of what thay had said and simply saying, pardon, sorry I can't hear you. No more of that, thankfully. I sincerely cannot thank Elaine at DI Blow opticians in Ilkeston enough. An absolute life changing experience. Recommended. Thank you Elaine.

I first went to THCP about five years ago during one of the lockdowns. I’ve been very impressed with the care I’ve received. My current audiologist, Rebecca Wylie, does a fantastic job, she is very thoughtful and goes to a lot of trouble to find out all she can about my hearing problems, and she is so good at explaining what she’s doing and what the hearing test results mean. The warranty on my hearing aids is coming up to expiry, but I shall get a new pair (an improved model) and another five years of warranty with free appointments. I’m glad I can afford to go to a private audiology company because the level of care I receive is excellent. And my audiologist, Rebecca Wylie, does a fantastic job. My appointments with her have been a total pleasure, and I’m very glad to be under her care.

Marie was welcoming, informative and professional. Genuinely refreshing experience. A credit to her employer and I’d highly recommend her to the those hesitant in booking an appointment.

My mum had a hearing test with Elaine Clifford , at Lunettes, Ruskington, Lincolnshire, from the start Elaine has been friendly, and very understanding, explaining everything with patience, mum now has hearing aids and is managing them very well, couldn't believe what she wasn't hearing!

I had ear wax removal in both ears over a couple of appointments. Emily was brilliant throughout—professional, reassuring, and she explained everything clearly. She took the time to make sure all the wax was removed safely and only worked when the wax was soft enough.

Since having the treatment, I can hear so much better and I no longer get any pain.
