Very Disappointing and Poor claim process
I am writing this review after weeks of frustration with Swipe Insurance regarding my claim (submitted 28 September). The entire process has been chaotic, slow, and completely lacking in communication or accountability.
I submitted all required documents on 28 September, only to be asked again on 2 October for a completely new set of documents including ID validation photos and proof of payment none of which were mentioned in the original requirements. Despite sending everything immediately, I was later told on 6 October that the images were “not accessible,” and asked to resend them in another format. I did so the same day, yet received no update for over a week.
Only after I raised a formal complaint did I finally receive a response on 13 October, saying my case was being escalated to a senior claims handler for an interview on 16 October.
This level of delay and disorganisation is unacceptable. I have been left without a phone for over two weeks, which has caused significant inconvenience to my personal and professional life despite fully complying with every request immediately.
Swipe Insurance needs to take accountability for poor internal coordination, lack of transparency, and failure to communicate with customers. I sincerely hope my claim is resolved soon, but this experience has seriously damaged my trust in the company.

Good VFM & great customer service during purchase of plan
Very simple process quotation. Good cover and even better priced.
Customer service was able to quickly help on locating where doc’s needed to be uploaded. Also, 2nd purchase will get me a 10% discount.

Claim Under Review - for 8 days so far
I started a claim over a week ago, every few days they ask me for a document to slow down the process. All these documents should have been requested on day one for review. I am 8 days in and it still says claim Under review. I paid for the highest level of cover - platinum. It’s made no blind bit of difference. If this hasn’t been resolved in the next few days I will be sure to contact the governing body and have all payments claimed back through a chargeback. This is for phone insurance it’s not a jumbo jet. I don’t understand how they can say fast claims process - it’s nothing but slow and agonising. I don’t know if I will be renewing my policy just yet. Someone please have this actioned as a priority. JM

Very disappointed, never recommended to anyone
I raised a claim 20days ago, and I put review 6 days ago and am still waiting to get a decision. Every time they ask for a new document, once I submit one. Why don't everything together in one email? I have uploaded proof of usage, which I have received from my Three network, and I have explained everything, but still waiting for the outcome. When you call to customer care, they just say, You will be contacted by our claim team, and they don't give any clearer answer. Claim ref. NCL/SP/00112818/KIK-1

Difficult to cancel
I emailed Swipe twice to cancel my policy renewal as they had instructed to do so in their policy renewal notification email. They still tried to renew the policy and take the money out of my account. Fortunately, the debit card details they had had expired so the money didn't leave my account. I tried to call to cancel the policy but was left on hold for a long time so eventually gave up. They did call me back and cancelled the policy.

Long process for claim review and approval but got there in the end
My mobile phone was stolen. The claims process was long, with lots of information and documentation requested by Swipe (Taurus). This included providing a selfie whilst holding passport next to me which I thought was unusual. The approval process took just under 3 weeks which is frustrating. It took another week to receive the replacement phone and whilst it was in good condition, it was pink - not suitable for me as a male. Swipe insurance state that they try and match the original colour, which was green. Bright pink represented no attempt to match the phone. Having had my phone stolen I also didn't want a bright pink phone that is very striking and obvious for any other phone thieves to target. I returned the device and was provided funds to buy another replacement phone myself. Stephen from the Swipe/Taurus team picked up my case after the phone was issued and was excellent to deal with. I understand that companies have to be diligent in reviewing cases, but the process could certainly be improved. Thankfully the outcome was resolved and I will continue my insurance with them.

Wished I hadn't bothered with these people, impossible demands for proof for a claim, wanting a bill from my provider showing calls etc and the imei number of my phone?
What a joke mobile contracts DO NOT show imei numbers, also need vat invoice from when I purchased my phone again this is proving impossible to show imei number. I have my original order emails from 2 years ago but can't get anything more from them retailer.
Keep well clear as the hoops you have to jump to make a claim are impossible to do.
Treated like a scammer from the very start of a claim, they make it as hard as possible to make a genuine claim so you don't bother.
Still no update...hoops have been jumped through and completed
