Unfortunately, I’ve had a very disappointing experience with Swipe Gadget Insurance (Taurus Insurance Services Ltd).
I lost my device more than a week ago, and the claims process has been incredibly frustrating. Every couple of working days, they request a few documents, then take another 2–3 working days to review them, only to come back asking for another document. Why not request all the required documents in one email and save customers unnecessary delays?
I’ve now provided everything they’ve asked for, yet I’m still waiting for my claim to be approved. I’ve been without a device for over a week, and the whole process has been unnecessarily slow and stressful.
Unfortunately, this is the second bad experience I’ve had with this company, and it has completely damaged my trust in them.
If you’re happy to wait a long time without your device while your claim is being processed, then maybe they’re for you. Otherwise, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Requests for documents already provided
Despite me providing proof of blacklisting from my network provider which was requested as part of the claims process, Swipe tells me the device has not been blacklisted, and asks me to provide proof? After calling customer service to query this and confirming blacklisting with the network provider, I am told the claims team will be in touch promptly to resolve the issue. I have not heard anything from them for a week. Rather than respond to my email chasing this, today they send me a copy and pasted email with exactly the same text as the initial email requesting proof the device has been blacklisted, which they have had for two weeks already. Awful experience so far.

Great insurance
I bought myself the Samsung galaxy flip phone and decided due to the cast I would take out some insurance. The phone was purchased in November 2024 and the screen has already broke (the well-known dreaded White line fault) 3 times. Each time swipe have been amazing. The first time the phone was under one year so there was a bit of back and forth as initially they said Samsung needed to fix it while it was in their guaranteed window however their guarantee window does not extend to screen damage. As soon as I said this to them they accepted my claim. I sent after relevant documents and they give me a postage lable and within two weeks of me posting the off I had it back fixed.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
One of the worst interactions with any company I can recall in my lifetime, dealing with Swipe Insurance (Taurus insurance services) is not only pointless, their customer service members will activly mislead you, their complaints procedure is diabolical, want to resolve an issue quickly... good luck. You want to get a fair outcome for yourself... nope we have denied your claim because you pointed out market value for your phone was higher than what we stated, from a link that we sent you.
Please do not use this company (or any Taurus insurance services company) to insure your devise.

Customer service are lovely, however the claims team are utterly useless.
They ‘aim’ to respond within 2 working days. However their response is just to ask for information that has already been provided and for MORE documentation that should have been requested at the beginning. The process for settling the claim is incredibly slow and painful, don’t expect to receive a replacement device in any adequate time…

my iPhone 14 Pro Max has been insured…and excellent claim filing
my iPhone 14 Pro Max has been insured for them for 2 1/2 years and Sadlay I had a water damage and filing a claim online is quick. I got a quick approval and the option to bring your phone to Apple genius bar is amazing. My phone cannot be fixed in Apple needs to replace my phone and the cost is high but the insurance covered it with no problem in the claim
I got paid in two days! overall very satisfied. Easy to talk to them over the phone and email and everyone is helpful. The paper works is reasonable for accidental damage and found no problem. Processing it.
