Customer service
I used Swapfiets for around six or seven months, and overall, my experience was good. The bike was functional and everything worked well. I only needed a repair once, for the light, and the process was easy: I made an appointment and they fixed it without any issues.
The only thing I would strongly recommend changing is the cancellation/return policy. I cancelled my bike at the beginning of September, around the 3rd or 4th, and I returned the bike during the same month. However, I still have to pay for the entire month of September, until October, even though I have already returned the bike and will not be using the service anymore.
I understand that there are cancellation rules and notice periods, but I don't think it makes any sense to pay for an entire month for something that I have already returned and will no longer use. This is the only thing I would change about my experience with Swapfiets. I really think there should be some flexibility or an option to adjust this in situations like mine, because from a customer's perspective, it simply doesn't make sense.
Apart from this, I had a good experience with Swapfiets.

Fietsverhuur! Geen bike as a service!
Bike as a service? Dat zou inhouden dat je altijd een fiets ter beschikking hebt. Het is me nu twee keer overkomen dat ik afspraak voor vervanging maak, thuis blijf en ik 20 (!) minuten na de deadline van de afspraak een bericht krijg dat de afspraak niet doorgaat. De laatste keer stuurde ik 5 minuten na de afspraak een whatsapp met de vraag of ik ze niet gemist had. 'Nee hoor, de swapper is iets later, je afspraak staat er gewoon in.' 15 minuten later: afspraak gecanceld. En daarna geen contact meer via whatsapp. Dan meer bellen. Eerste keer iemand aan de telefoon, die zou gaan bellen met de swapper en 5 minuten later laten horen. Half uur later, zelf maar weer teruggebeld en slap bericht dat ze de swapper niet aan de telefoon kregen. Kortom: Als je niet in de buurt van een winkel bent, niet doen.
Dit is geen bike as a service maar gewoon een fietsverhuur. Pretendeer dan ook niets meer te zijn dan dat.

The staff was really helpful and explained everything and answered all my questions sufficiently.
When it’s your time for the appointment and it’s busy the staff still call out your name so you don’t have to wait in the line with the walk-ins customers. So I would advise setting an appointment on the app.

Easy process, great bike!
A very easy process, and I got the bike I wanted: a solid Amsterdam city bike. I've ridden it every day, and it's served me well! The customer service is great. And when someone stole my bell I got a new one very easily.

Tja, niet heel tevreden
Ik heb tijdelijk een fiets nodig. Dus dan Swapfiets. Eerste afspraak (levering) geannuleerd door bedrijf. Tweede afspraak bleek bij levering de fiets defect. De medewerker is teruggegaan om, in zijn eigen tijd, een andere fiets te halen. Dat is echt klasse! De krijgt vijf sterren! Na, uiteindelijk, de fiets te hebben gekregen, moet je alsnog 29 Euro betalen om een soort van afkoop te doen... Na de slechte service van dit bedrijf had het netjes geweest dit achterwege te laten. Maar goed. Geen gelukkige start.

Bedankt voor je uitgebreide review. Vervelend om te horen dat de start van je abonnement niet soepel is verlopen door de geannuleerde afspraak en de eerste fiets die niet in orde was. Wel fijn om te lezen dat de medewerker dit direct voor je heeft opgelost door een andere fiets te halen.
Wat betreft de 29 euro: dit betreffen de eenmalige opstartkosten die bij het afsluiten van een abonnement horen. We begrijpen dat dit na de vervelende ervaring rondom de levering niet zo voelde, en we nemen je feedback hierover intern mee.

My bike all in a sudden stop working
My bike all in a sudden stop working. Sccheudled a maintenance they canceled. Then rescheduled and stayed home for appointment, then the day of repair thec canceled again with no explanations. Next available option is the week after. No guarantee that it will not be canceled again. And still paying for the bike rent that is promised to be replaced in two days if it is not repaired

Goedemorgen Swap,
Het bedrijf is goed in hun service maar ik word er niet beter van.
Dit is nu mijn derde fiets en zie mij genoodzaakt terug te gaan omdat de batterij niet oplaadt .
Tevens zit ik met een gekneusde voet omdat iemand per ongeluk de accu op mijn voet liet vallen tijdens het wisselen hiervan.
Dit was een kleine opsomming van wat ik van SWAP vind.

Vervelend om te lezen dat je ervaring met ons tot nu toe niet is wat je ervan had verwacht. Drie keer een vervangende fiets en een batterij die niet oplaadt is natuurlijk heel erg storend.
Daarnaast schrikken we van het voorval met de accu. Dat een accu op je voet is gevallen en je hier een gekneusde voet aan hebt overgehouden is heel nare situatie, en we wensen je een snel herstel toe. We nemen dit signaal intern mee om dit te bespreken.
We willen dit heel graag voor je oplossen. Zou je rechtstreeks contact op willen nemen met onze klantenservice via onze officiële kanalen? Dan kijken we graag direct met je mee om te zorgen voor een goed werkende fiets en batterij.
