Specialist Blinds Arvostelua 

Ryan took us through the purchase process and completed the blind fitting in our conservatory yesterday. He did a fabulous job. The blinds are great quality and look fantastic! We would recommend Specialist Blinds to anyone. They are experts in this field.

The sales & installation service was good as is the quality of manufacture of the blinds.
We needed to keep sunlight out of the the back of the house with patio doors open, so a key question was whether the weighted base of each blind would be enough. They manage in a very light breeze, but we can't have the doors open and the blinds down in anything stronger.
The blinds are better at keeping the heat in during the winter, but not so good in reflecting heat out in the summer, so we have a partial fix.

The WiFi signal just about makes the 14m width of the house, though the actual remote & phone app operation of the blinds is great. They link to Alexa routines well too, so that's a bonus.

We could use having another charging plug (one for 9 blinds); these blinds are not cheap and we were quoted £1k for an additional blind, measuring about 1.4m x 0.5m, we hadn't previously considered which we've not taken up.

Overall, it's good that we have blinds, and it's doubtful that others would have been much better at solving the issues we faced. All in all we are middle of the road to positive. We like the blinds, but they fall short of hopes, 3.5 would be the ideal score.

The bi-fold blinds fitted are a great design and they meet our needs very well. Not a cheap option but we are very pleased with the result. Installer was professional and polite.

Really happy with our new electric roof lantern blind. From the initial consultation with Aaron through to the survey and fitting by Ryan, the service provided was friendly and professional. The new blind looks great (closely colour-matched to the wall colour) and completes our new kitchen extension. Highly recommended!

We are pleased with the appearance of the blinds, and the service we received was good. However, when purchasing them, we made it clear that one of our primary reasons for doing so was to help reduce the temperature of the room in which they were to be installed. At the time, we were provided with figures suggesting a significant reduction in heat.

Unfortunately, since the blinds have been fitted, we have not noticed any reduction in the room temperature. As a result, we are disappointed that the blinds have not delivered the benefit that was a key factor in our decision to purchase them.

In hindsight, we would not have chosen to spend this amount of money on the blinds had we known they would not achieve the desired effect. We feel that the product was misrepresented to us, and that a similar aesthetic outcome could have been achieved through a much less expensive alternative.

I emailed the company to relay my thoughts but sadly did not receive a respone.

Arnaud came to our house to make the initial contact and to talk through the options available. He had a very pleasant manner and ensured we were in agreement with the proposed installation.

The next visit was made by Ryan who measured the required dimensions for the five new blinds. He kept us updated with his expected arrival time. When he returned to fit the blinds he insisted on replacing the existing window blind attachments for the three pre existing units as he felt they were not as secure as they could be. He completed the work on schedule and cleaned up afterwards. Full instructions were given on how to operate the remote control.

Ryan is very polite and professional. He encouraged questions and communicated clearly when discussing the work.

This was the second time Specialist Blinds have installed window blinds and we would thoroughly recommend them.

Great service all round, from my first online enquiry, the initial visit by Arnaud to give a quotation and see samples, the survey visit by Ryan, and the blind fitting by Ryan. Specialist Blinds is a very professional company with knowledgeable staff and great products. An additional bonus is that the blinds are made in Kent :)

Installed my electric blinds today and they were the biggest scam ever. Keep in mind I had to get an electrician to do all the wiring before the installer came. However once they were operational, they are so so so so slow which was very misleading compared to their website where apparently they were edited to show them to be way faster. What sold me and got me to buy these blinds was how fast their blinds in the videos they had on the site. I feel scammed and I can't wait to remove them even though I spent over £6000, which were an absolute waste. I already placed another order of blinds to replace all of them by another company. Absolutely waste of time and money.

We made our first purchase of motorised Duette honeycomb-style blinds 5 years ago in our south facing extension. They still look lovely and we were so impressed with their cooling properties in the summer and their insulating properties in the winter that we added the same to the main front window two years later. In January of this year, we added three further blinds upstairs. High praise, indeed.

They are not cheap but, as home improvements go, they make a difference every day in whatever season. Supported in no small part, in my view, by great staff. Five years - same Sales Advisor (Colin) and same fitter (Andy). That actually says an awful lot. These people know their stuff - knowledgeable, professional and no pressure. Nice people who seem to care about doing a first-class job. And, on the odd occasion when I have needed their customer service, same high standards. No hesitation in giving them my highest recommendation.

The guy who fitted my blinds had the worse attitude ever and was rude.
