Spoke to this advisor at customer service for her to tell me none of my details were registwred on the system so she couldnt give me my customer number after giving her the detials they would have asked for over the phone she still refused. I had called up and got what i needed from someone else, when asking her for a reveiw link she then told me this. Persuming so i wouldnt leave a reveiw absolutly shocking. Staff need sorting.

If I could leave a 0 star i would. Called 3 times explained the situation .im a single person and there charging me 320 litres away appentley when I live on my own. This Company is an absolute joke trying to sort it out is like banging my head against the brick wall absolute disgusting behaviour

Words can’t describe how much I despise this company, they have no clear process, it take hours upon hours of time that people don’t have to sort any issues, only to be greeted, in the main, buy customer service agents that are ill-mannered and simply just rude. Not only this, they say they will do something and don’t follow through leading to even more unnecessary phone calls and time wasted on the phone. Their online services are terrible with very little you can actually do online with half of the functions resulting in absolutely nothing.

Absolutely bloody useless forgot my password trying to log into my account keep sending me what's up messages that may not absolutely bloody nothing all I want to do is see if I am incredible not it's not rocket science very unhappy

Unpleasant company

The Issue - very low water pressure, preventing hot water flowing to the taps and preventing the shower from heating up.

The Diagnosis - A South West Water (SWW) engineer, Jordan, confirmed that the main water supply to the property has excellent pressure and the issue must be internal. After sending photos to Jordan of the pipework behind the kitchen sink, he could see a hidden Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV). I was advised that it may have failed or is set too low and would need replacing.

The Solution - My plumber (who failed to spot the problem on a previous visit!!) cut a hole in the back panel of the sink cabinet and installed a new PRV.

Hot water is restored!

Just wanted to say a big Thank you to Steve who deals with waste water. He came to our house in Plymouth PL3 after we thought the drain may have been blocked outside our property. The actual problem was with the sleeve we recently had put in. It had failed and Steve explained what had happened and showed me the problem and was able to unblock it. He then cleaned up the whole area and sprayed disinfectant. He went above and beyond and we really appreciate it. He was friendly and professional. I just wanted to send a shout out to him as he was a diamond!

No one answering the telephone. I'm 45th in the queue, for 2 hours. The website doesn't recognise my log in. The WhatsApp page says "You are being transferred now. You will be connected to the next available advisor". No adviser available.
There is NO water supply, hasn't been for almost 12 hours. No attempt to deliver bottled water. Nothing. Terrible company. Terrible service.

2 water leaks in rackenford road tiverton both poaring water down the drain 1 for over 2 weeks now the other 4 days ,weve all been put on a hosepipe ban ,why are they not repairing leaks ,there like a bunch of idiots ok for them to waste water

I phoned to say we had moved, 5 times I repeated my new house name as the customer assistant kept getting it wrong. I logged into my account to see that I had a neighbours property on my account I phoned to get it changed was told it was done but all that happened was the charge to me was removed.

I have reported a leak on our street for the last three months South staff water have been out there saying it's a council problem as it's waste water . The council came out and said it's clean drinking water and it's up to south staffs to sort out saying it's so staffs water so I've called them out again and there refusing to come out because they said it's the council's problem and so are the council saying the same.
it's now got green algae all under it it's a lot bigger it's actually on our car park and we are having to walk in it every time we park our cars
Also people after walk across the car park to get to the top and bottom of our street
To say that south staff water is saying we have got a water shortage but are refusing to sort leaks out but are going to put our bill up is beyond the joke .
It's absolutely disgusting and disgraceful how we are being treated

110 Million. How many litres they waste a day to leaks.

Paying huge dividends to shareholders, massive salaries to inept execs, and meanwhile the customers bill goes up as the service goes down.

In any other universe this would be fraud and people would be in prison.

I am totally disgusted with this so called water company.
They are scamming as many people as they can, thus company is owned by foreign corporations not British. They say they read my meter on 5th Aug 2026 supposed to be visual, I took it the same days, thier reading was 4cu meters higher than mine.
I try to keep my water usage as low as possible, bath every 2nd week, just a strip wash every other times, only do washing every 2nd week after changing clothes. Now I have had to like so many others collect the water from the sink bowl and bath tub when used to take out and put on the gardens.
This is absolutely ridiculous, it is 2026, people would be better putting a bore hole in their back garden with either a stirrup pump or small electric pump.
My water consumption was either 1,2 or maximum 3 cu meters per month so for the 3 months would be very low, they have said now I have used 11 cu meters.
I know some people may say that is not bad, for me it is very bad because of living on a very low fixed income.
But it is only people earning £4,500 and under can get all these credits.
If the SWW can give one of their employees £270,000 + £85,000+ £2,8 million in wages and severance pay, this in my mind is stupidity, but then again all these types of companies and government offices there is no one thst has been held accountable.

Email informing about hosepipe ban that started on 8th August wasn't sent by South West Water until 11th August. I'm not disputing the need for the ban (that's a different argument about their priorities), but how are they this useless that they can't even inform us about it until 3 days after it had started?

We have just a hosepipe ban put on us. Meanwhile SW water had water pouring out of a leak on the A379 Honiton road near Fordmore farm. There has been little activity there for 10 days. Temporary traffic lights causing traffic delays. Yet still there with very little happening - One wonders if they put a leak ban on themselves. Maybe their staff are out busy checking if people are ignoring the hosepipe ban!! I do appreciate we have a drought, but if a company does put restricitions on their customers they at least should make an effort to fix the wasteful leaks quickly. It is rather rubbing ones nose in it. I did speak to the complaints department and had a rather dismissive talk to someone there - a waste of time!

South west water are the lowest of the low in terms of a company. The continuously criminally pollute the sea and waterways, without any care of fixing the issues. They're found guilty or doing this several times and obviously don't care. Now they're introducing a hosepipe ban however they won't fix serious leaks in their infrastructure that lose us so much water every hour. It's a totally make everyone else do the work while they rake in the money situation.

On a hot Sunday, after the shops had closed and no water had been available due to a burst water main, which has failed 5 times in the last 5 years, this is the advice they gave 2 60 year olds.

"To get drinking water as quickly as possible, you may wish to purchase bottled water from a local shop or order it through a delivery service such as Deliveroo, Uber Eats, or a supermarket delivery service.
Please keep your receipt, as you may be able to claim reimbursement or reasonable bottled water costs incurred as a result of the supply interruption.
I apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while we work to restore your water supply. 😊"

Great that they think this is funny in some way!

My situation didn’t change but my bill went from £8 a month (yes before government help was removed) carried on climbing up to £84 a month.. called them out couldn’t understand the reading themselves, but no leak found , they make it impossible to understand and basically we have no choice but to pay it .. its so corrupt im not the first to report this happening.. something needs to happen soon

Recent enquiries regarding help as per water leak allowance. Months of being passed pillar to post and talked to as if I was lucky to get any help. Yet again being transferred to a call centre in another universe. Condescending dialogue with an operative telling me " it's just the way it is". .......to the point of where they had heard the same complaint time and time again. Pennon Group, you are shameless........but keep paying the shareholders. GREED!

Absolutely atrocious company to deal with. The customer service is appalling and no one calls you back despite promises to do so. Engineers don’t turn up. My complaint has not been acknowledged that I sent on the 22nd June. The most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. Two people have promised me call backs today and as usual no one has! This company doesnt even deserve 1 star😡
