With an isbn, then pack and post through in post system. Didn’t even need to print a label. Great to know books will reach new readers not a landfill site

I sent a book to Sell Your Books in September and was told it was rejected for “excessive damage overall,” so I wasn’t paid. The book was in good condition when I shipped it. Around the same time I sold several other books to another buyback company, and every one of them was accepted and paid for.

When I asked customer service what was actually wrong with the book, they couldn’t name a specific problem. They only repeated the general category. They also said rejected books are recycled, not returned, so I lost both the book and the money. They offered to reconsider only if I had photos from before shipping, which most people wouldn’t think to take for a book in good shape.

Because no specific reason was given, I’m not confident my book was actually inspected. If you sell to them, photograph every book before you ship it, or think about using another buyback company.

It's an easy process - just type in the ISBN number, get a price, box things up and post. What could be simpler! And it releases some extra cash - what's not to like.

I put 2 stars for ease of use of the app and scanning the books you wish to sell . Packing and sending is very easy and straightforward. Though the amount that you get offered for your books is very misleading . I , for a fact know that the majority of books I sent were of pristine condition and although I was offered around £90 worth, I got about half that . No explanation or specifics just a disgustingly low amount of money given to you for parting with perfectly good condition books . Felt completely scammed !
