Crooks, not able to use service. Hung up on me, "no one is available to take your call". No customer service. took my money. Never give your card number to this site. Was not able to have inmate use phone service, although they listed the jail he was in as providing this service.

Do not give you them your card number. charge me 45 bucks right off the bat with no explanation. Instructions to set up the account are not user-friendly it requires you contacting the jail etc. if you call customer support they will hang up on you.

This is a fraud company and they are pretending to be Securus . Also on the email they sent out when you click on the “contact us” part nothing opens up . Clear indication that something fraudulent is going on .
I have requested my $45 back considering it never stated it would be removing that from my card due to its fault and confusing wording and I’ll be reporting them as a fraud site and to the BBB

This company is a fraud and scam you my son is in prison so I got on their website thinking I was just setting up an account for when I had the extra money to put on there I'm on disability and live off of 841. A month the next thing I know they charged my card 45. I've contacted them asking for a full refund explaining that was my grocery money for the week so now I am hungry and can't eat they haven't refunded my money yet

This is a scam, after signing in they take you straight to postcards for inmates, I purchased this on Feb 17 today is March 14, I still haven't been able to use this account, when you sign up you think it is securstel, but it's not they don't give you an amount option, once you complete the transaction and you have given them 45.98 for nothing

Site is very misleading. You get 0 phone minutes and 88 postcards for $45. Just sucks you right in making You think you're putting money for phone calls on your inmates account

Do i have to rate them at 1??? This is a SCAM! They do not tell you they are charging you and it seems like you are just setting up an account so that you CAN charge whatever you want to use for services. Right after registering, $45 straight out of my account!!! This is an awful way to do business. Then they send you a link showing they will keep $15 of your money from the $45. Scam scam scam. I have great credit and am generally cautious. This was a link from jail website where an inmate I know is housed. Stealing money from the poor is Securtel’s mode of business.

They steal money from u and they dnt tell u what u buying before u pay for it I canceled my account and they charged me 15 bucks after charging me 46 dollars wo telling me how much it was gne coat before they took money this should b a crime for real

So like many others, I searched securus and this popped up first, not sure why. Clicked the link and it said make an acct. On the 2nd page it asked for cc info, thinking I was entering that to fund a debit acct I hit next and bam, $45 for 88 postcards and some funky phone number. No "order summary" or price listed or anything until after the purchase. I called the next morning and got the $15 to cancel and I told the lady it felt scamish and I'd be talking to the Florida Attorney Generals office,, she immediately said their legal team would be in touch and basically just hung up, I then got an email saying my number had been blocked and they would communicate through email. Also that email did state that my account had been canceled.
I did get a full refund(no $15 fee) but it took several days.
I still contacted the Florida AG office.

Inquired about Sectel.us. who claimed to be cheaper than going thru jail atm. 1ST they are fraudulent and charged my chase card 45.98 to give me an telephone number that wouldn't work. After calling no, I just got a reorder tone. I worked for a telecommunication co for 31 years and have seen how many customers they have slammed. Check the BBB and blogs everywhere when you do a search. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

This company has stolen my money out of my account and I want my money back I see that this is been a problem and I don't have no idea why this hasn't been addressed and fixed and why this company is still stealing from people and taking their money and it's obvious every person they do this to and all the reviews it's been wrote and nothing is being done well I'm going to go do something about it by God cuz they're not going to rob me and my Goddamn money and nothing and get away with it

This company is a straight scam. They take your money for nothing and you still have to pay for the calls. Representive was very ride and didn't care about your situation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!

Scamming people out of their money. I thought I was adding my card information to have on file so I could add money to inmate books but instead later found out they actually charged me $45 for what? I didn't sign up for anything, at least they didn't tell me I was signing up for something. I call customer support who says it clearly stated on the website that I was signing up for a 3 month subscription of some sort. After arguing this, I asked for refund only to be told they were keeping $13.99 fee due to the expenses of something I couldn't understand but mirror less expenses of running their scam. Again, argued as she told me this was clearly stated in the terms and conditions that I agreed to and signed. No such thing happened or even existed. Stay away from this site. They need to be shut down

Absolutely terrible company. It’s fraud. They sell post cards and not phone time. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Take money from accounts without providing service and without asking

The site looks so good, but as soon as I entered my credit card information to sign up, it refused to accept it, did not ask for additional information; instead a drop down window appeared from the c.c. company telling me to call them. I tried several times with the same results. Credit card co. told me the website does this for additional security, to be sure you're you. But - the c.c. company puts a hold on your card for subsequent transactions, until you call them to verify yourself, because you're talking to the fraud division!
So here's my wife calling me from the road to tell me the c.c. is dead!
So I have to call the c.c. company back to get it unlocked. You think Securtel.us warns you about this ahead of time? No - they just assume you're a crook and report it to your card company as a fraudulent transaction, on their own sign-up site! Of course they would say they do this for your protection. Baloney. The c.c. company covers such fraudulent transactions.
So if you don't want your card blocked, stay away from these shysters.

The terms and conditions box was already checked and I created an account and was charged $48 for POST CARDS not inmate calling TOTAL MISSLEADING nowhere is the amount DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY

The jails phone call services I called set up an account said I could send post cards to the jail through them and they gave me a phone # for my family member to call and supposedly it would ring my phone
.I've sent 5 post cards and haven't received any letters or phone calls back. I called there support # and checked to see if my account was set up and an automated system said they could find no account or phone #s that matched mine even though I set up an account with a password . They just lien scammers steeling people's hard earned cash for a service that is a front that does nothing they should be locked up in one of the jails and throw away the key. And banned from advertising a fake company. Real bad people low lifes

Negative Stars if I could same thing happened to me as happened to all these other people charge me 44 something called right away and requested cancelation they said there is a fee of 14.99thia company is bullcrap I am litterlly arguing with them over emails as I am typing this. If they actually make things right I will change my review and add that in. Google needs to take this company off! It's the first link when your looking for securus!

Update: they would not give my money back! This company is horrible! Do Not Use this company!!!
