They were polite turned up within the 2 hour time slot and explained everything well had a quick look around and advised we would get results back within a couple of days. One good thing would be if you could start letting people know you are on the way instead of just a two hour time slot, like so many other services do with a phone call or tracking system so you know when you are the next call.

Unable to survey to true market value.
It is the same as most of the reviews for SDL Surveying: the house valuation was 70k below market value; I was prepared for a 30k drop due to the nature of the risk from the renters' rights bill. However, I am bemused to understand how R. Wilkins got such a low figure. Every desktop exercise from Zoopla, Rightmove, ChatGPT, and Perplexity produced a value of north of 560k; the last set of estate agent estimates from 1 year ago ranged from 565-580k, and when the house was valued by my current mortgage company 5 years ago, it was valued at 540k. I was not at the property, but reading so many other reviews, it seems this company is incompetent

Lender valuation - The surveyor was very efficient
The surveyor was very efficient, took no time at all and her visit didn't feel invasive/intrusive. Very friendly lady and the valuation was over and done with after 10 mins! Super easy.

Employ SDL at your peril
I paid in advance on 15th July to Homemove who appointed SDL to carry out a RICS survey and valuation for probate purposes.
SDL cancelled an appointment scheduled for 29th July with less than 24 hours notice.
SDL then cancelled a further appointment made for 11th August, despite my expressing urgency.
They then refused to reschedule and referred me back to Homemove, leaving me completely in the lurch.
Heads should roll for such amateurism.
