Ordered Orygo food which my dog loved, went to re-order and no longer available.
Went for Alpha Spirit the complete one instead, then went to reorder and no longer available.
We wanted a steady supply of the SAME food.
I was recommended you guys however I will now use another supplier, very let down!

Couldn’t help out a loyal customer
Unfortunately I placed a subscribe & save order with them just a few hours before their black Friday sale started. The new offer was 20% off the first order, 15% off the second and 10% off the third.
Customer service were unable to apply the offer to my order and just told me to place a new one. Some aren’t well off enough to he able to spend £250 in one go. After spending £1300 in only 9 months solely on food I expected better customer service I suppose.
Will go elsewhere next time.

Damaged Packaging
We received our package from courier, as per normal, having ordered in advance of us running out. A few days later we then opened the box to have over half the bag spill onto the utility room floor.
Due to other detritus / contamination potentially on the floor we felt it couldn’t be used so we had no choice but to chuck away.
I wrote to customer services explaining that I didn’t think that was good enough; in terms of the poor packaging and the standard of the product when leaving the depot and perhaps that they should have a word with their couriers. Clearly these packages are treated as you’d probably expect.
I never mentioned a refund just that I thought it was poor; considering cost. The customer services team did come back very promptly and politely but quickly said that as it hadn’t been reported within 3 days of receipt then that was just tough. Like many people I suspect we don’t order dog food the day when we run out, we order in advance of us running out for obvious reasons. It’s no surprise - to me anyway - that packages perhaps might be unopened for a few days.
The speed of the response around sorry, you didn’t tell us quick enough was a clear message to me that this is a stock and probably regular complaint. I hadn’t mentioned anything about a refund but they said they wouldn’t very quickly so don’t even think about asking, as it were.
So all in all having been very happy I’m not so sure we are any more and in a competitive space like dog food, I would suggest perhaps the company be a bit more consumer focused and understanding. And probably need to review who they use for delivery.

Having looked into this, your order was delivered on 9th November and we were contacted on 17th of November regarding the damaged bag. As outlined in our terms, damage in transit must be reported within three days of receipt. This timeframe is in place because courier claims for transit damage must be raised within this strict window, and once that period passes we’re unfortunately unable raise any claims with them.
We certainly don’t view these reports lightly, and they are not something we consider “standard” or acceptable. We continuously review both our packaging and courier performance to reduce the likelihood of issues like this happening. Kind regards, Team Sabre🐾

A joke of a company. Messed up my order and delivery times on multiple occasions, causing me to have to drive half an hour last minute to get dog food to hold me over until my (what was supposed to be) recurring subscription was delivered.
They couldn't have cared less.
Any response by them below will just be some BS, because they took no steps to ensure their loyal customers got their orders on time.

Hi Alexander, we’re disappointed to read your review and I have looked further into this for you .
On October 28th you contacted us to request that your subscription be processed earlier than its scheduled date. When we attempted to manually advance the order as requested, a system error prevented it from being submitted correctly to our warehouse picking system. We are sorry for this, and as soon as we identified the issue, we informed you, apologised, and arranged for the order to be delivered the following day resolving this within 24 hours. For that reason, we were unable to offer compensation for travel costs that you had attempted to claim from us.
I could only see one other occasion where there may have been an 'issue' which is where a manual order was placed ahead of your subscription and that you had thought it would cancel out the subscription order that is placed automatically. We did advise that this wasn't the case as the system will auto-generate the subscription order regardless of a manual order placed by yourself directly. We did however offer to collect this via courier at our cost which we actioned and refunded you. We also advised that 'if you need any amendments to these i.e. placing an order early or amending the frequency just let us know and we can do this for you' by our customer services team.
However we can now see that since this happened you have gone on to place further orders with us this year which we really appreciate your custom and we are glad to see that you choose Sabre Pet Food. Many thanks, Team Sabre 🐾

We purchased 12kgx7 bags of alpha spirit wild fish, we found lots of plastic pieces inside the food. ( as u guys know, seen many same reviews) . We provide then pictures and dates but they don’t want to pay for the refund.
Our dog has problem with his stomach( we paid for allergy test and everything we coulnd’t find out with our vet what can be the issue ) then we stopped this food and he is fine now . ( we still on wild fish but from other website and other brand. We gonna post the pictures and emails everywhere as we have lots of followers on tiktok and indtagram. U will able to search is ( Sabre Pet Food- Be aware) . Im promise u will able to search it because of the amount of views etc. ) this website is a ***

Dear Patrik,
I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate our apologies. It is clear you feel our team did not provide a satisfactory resolution to your concerns, despite us offering a significant refund and putting you in touch with a registered veterinary professional, who was able to offer advice and reassurance.
However, there are several important factors your review does not mention:
The first order placed under your account was on 23rd January 2025. Your most recent order was on 19th April 2025. Between these dates, you placed a total of 7 orders. The first time you contacted our team regarding any issues was on 3rd April. Upon receiving this initial communication, we refunded the full amount for the order in question.
It was only after receiving this refund that you informed us of further issues relating to previous orders. As you were unable to provide specific details (e.g. which orders were allegedly affected, or how many), we requested, on 7th April, that you supply images of the affected food. This is standard procedure in line with our complaints policy. It allows us to assess the nature of any issues and raise them with the manufacturer, if necessary. Although you stated you had taken photographs, none were shared with us at that time, and we did not hear from you again until June.
Between 7th April and you reestablishing contact in June, you placed a further two orders for the same product. In the absence of additional correspondence, and based on your continued purchases, we reasonably concluded the matter had been resolved. However, when you did contact us again, you stated that all orders received from us had been contaminated with plastic. This contradicted your earlier claims. At that point, you also informed us you had contacted the manufacturer, Alpha Spirit directly. Until then, you had provided no details of this communication or the issues raised with them—aside from the order we had already refunded.
Given the seriousness of your new claim—that seven consecutive bags contained plastic—we escalated the matter to Alpha Spirit as a priority. They were understandably concerned and requested the material you alleged to be plastic be sent to them for testing. However, you advised you had already disposed of the material, despite not having been advised to do so. For the 4 initial orders you subsequently claimed were also affected, we were not in a position to advise you regarding disposal, as you had not informed us of any problem at that time.
Without further evidence or samples, Alpha Spirit was unable to investigate further. Based on the information available, they concluded the material you described was likely small fragments of bone or cartilage. Given their product contains 85% whole fish, such inclusions are to be expected and can be beneficial to dogs’ diets.
As a gesture of goodwill—and to enable you to purchase an alternative product—we offered a further refund, in addition to the one previously issued. This second refund covered the two orders placed between April and June and brought the total value of refunds offered to over £200. We advised you this was our best and final offer. It is clear you were not satisfied with this, as you have since posted multiple negative reviews across various platforms and threatened to post on social media. These reviews contain claims we consider false and defamatory.
Finally, we would like to make it clear that, unlike some companies, we do not offer refunds in exchange for the removal of negative reviews. We have also observed you frequently post similar reviews, which appear intended to obtain additional refunds.
We have now exhausted all reasonable steps to resolve this matter. While we regret that you are unhappy, we believe we have acted fairly and in good faith throughout. We believe we cannot continue to supply you with our products and ask that you make no further purchases from us.

Absolutely amazing site
Absolutely amazing site. They stock very high quality brands at reasonable prices. The darf is fantastic as are all the Alpha Spirit. I wasted my money for years buying expensive but poor quality food. My dogs have gone from doing 4 poos a day to 2 a day. The freeze dried raw kibble is easy to digest and both my dogs behaviour have changed for the positive. I compete with both dogs and the intensity they have for training has dramatically increased after Alpha spirit. I've pretty much got my orders next day which makes planning ahead really easy. I would advise anyone I met to use this site. Oh and on a side note I see people in the reviews mentioning legumes or peas as a dangerous ingredient. There has been very very limited research done on their effects but at such low levels I highly doubt the negative impact of legumes. If you are worried stick to Alpha Spirit that contain none at all. Regardless a 5 star site that I will use over and over again.

BUYER BEWARE
There are some very good foods sold here, like Darf Complete, which I have nothing but positive reviews for. However, Sabre is now selling Orygo, a brand that advertises Legumes as a main ingredient. You can very easily google “legumes and DCM in dogs” and find that legumes are poisonous to dogs. They block dogs from absorbing taurine which causes heart failure! Numerous reports from vets and studies support this. The studies that claim to disprove it are biased and unreliable (very small sample size, very short length of time to observe effects which may take a long time to show up in a dog’s health, etc).
Just to do a good deed, I emailed Sabre. The customer service person was clearly out of her depth so she copied in their very arrogant on staff veterinarian who had never read the reports and made no effort to do the research. Instead of saying “thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will do our due diligence and look into this,” he very rudely shot back that he’s “satisfied” that legumes are safe for dogs.
I highly endorse Darf Complete. And you can only buy it from Sabre, unfortunately. But I may go back to Markus Muhle just to avoid supporting such arrogant, ignorant incompetence.
Do your own due diligence and research legumes and DCM in dogs. Avoid any dog food with peas or other legumes as a main ingredient.

Hayley is a superstar! This company do extremely generous samples of great quality food and all you have to do is pay for the postage. I honestly love this company! I order pet food with a subscription and it arrives on time and cheaper than elsewhere. I have also accidentally double ordered and the customer service was fabulous. Cancelled one of the orders and confirmed quickly.

Excellent customer service
The service provided by this company is second to none. Provided you place an order before 2:00 p.m., without fail, the order is delivered by DPD the following day. Customer services are always available on the telephone, and you are not left waiting in a queue. If you do encounter an issue, they move mountains to sort it out without any form of quibble. It's too early to rate the dog food I purchased, however, It's the only brand I've managed to find that doesn't add a nasty, artificial mineral pack to the recipe. Such mineral packs often include suspected carcinogenic additives.
